After a few moments of silence, She looked up at the man, "how come your furry?" She asked.A child's curiosity.He obviously wasent human, but did it kill to ask?

"Because I am a khajiit. I am from very far away from this land," he smiled softly at her and moved his bushy tail onto her lap for her to pet and hold.

"Oh..." she said quietly.She didn't know what that meant, but at least she was listening.Her eyes made there way to her lap, seeing something bushy.His tail."You have a tail!" She acknowledged.She reached out to touch it.After she touched it, childishly, she hugged the tail like it was a stuffed animal.

He smiled and twitched the tip of it softly against her nose.

She giggled a little feeling the tip of his tail touch her nose.At least she was happily occupied, and not upset or anything.

Dmitri couldn't help but laugh. The noise was a deep, jovial thing from the pit of his gut and he tickled Nausicaa's cheeks with his tail.

Suddenly, another guard entered and Dmitri looked up.
"Yes, Jorvir?" he asked the man.
"Dmitri, come here. We need to speak in private."

The little girls giggles turned to laughter."It tickles! It tickles!" He said laughing.Though she stopped laughing when she saw the doors open, but a smile stayed on her face.She looked at the man, then at Dmitri.

"You stay here, little one~" Dmitri smiled and lightly tapped Nausucaa's nose as he stood and set her on the sofa. "I'll be back soon."

Nausicaä nodded an okay, and looked up at him once he stood up."okay" she said.

He stepped out of the room and spoke with the guard for a long while before entering again. His ears were dropping and there was a frown upon his face as he sat down and pulled Nausicaa into his lap again. He stayed silent for a long time, just holding her.

Nausicaäs smile was gone by the time he returned.After a long while of silence, she looked at him, tilting her head, "what's wrong Mr gloomy face" She asked.Curious.

A crack of a smile appeared on his face when she called him that, but it quickly disappeared. "Your father... He's not coming to get you..." he said softly.

The little girls eyes turned sad, and started to tear up a little. "Is to!" she said, she didn't want to believe him. Her daddy would never abandon her.

He shook his head sadly and hugged her tight, "No... He is not... Because he can't... He would if he could but he can't..." he whispered.

The little girl couldn't surpass the tears, and started crying into Dmitris shirt. She was Wanting to know why he wouldn't come, but didn't ask.She didn't know to take the hint.

"Last night... We believe that your father was looking for you... But he died..."

The little girl was quiet, except for the sounds of her crying. She had lost her mom once, and now she had lost her dad...she had..no one..

Dmitri would hear a voice in his head, almost like a whisper.It was a males voice.In the faintness of it, the man would say "take care of her..please"

Dmitri looked around, startled, then held the little girl close to his chest. "I will take care of you..." he whispered to her. "Do not worry, little one... You are safe."

Nobody was around to have said what he had heard.Just he and Nausicaä were in the room.

The little girl cried quietly. She didnt like the thought of her daddy was never coming back, or at least never coming to get her.After a few minutes, she looked up at Dmitri, so he would take care of her..

He rested his furry chin on top of her head and closed his eyes. "I promise... You'll be safe..."
