My friend found this on his FB feed today and we both agree that it's a bit weird, but we also kind of like it. Fun fact: the girls at 16, 14 and 14 and never heard of death metal before they formed the band, apparently.
Enjoy!
Here's more for those who like it.
Yeah, Mist's already decided he's a fan. Unfortunately the way he listens to things, I've heard that blasted thing so many times now... >.<

Because it's pretty awesome!
Eh. When I'm in the mood for some metal, I simply flick on some Slayer, or any other band that makes me feel inspired. I'm not the most keen on death metal.
That is... Very catchy! I like it!
I think it's not the music beat that makes the genre, but vocal performance and lyrics as well. While I can't discuss latter, although title itself is kind of giveaway, vocals certainly don't match metal, so I am not going to consider this metal. It's just something J or K-pop that wants to be metal, so throws in some metal-ish music.
But to each their own. Knowing how popular all things from Far East are by default, I see this coming long way, although that's not going to be my cup of tea at all. usually not into music parodies, usually, and this is basically metal-genre parody.

Naturally this isn't going to be everyone's cup of tea! I just thought I'd share it for those who find it appealing. Genre definitions can be tricky but this is what the label is selling it as, so that's what people are going to call it. (I'd prefer this not become a topic debating what genre this is or isn't, if that is okay!)
Of course. Just leave it to Japan to make something as agressive and loud like heavy metal to turn into into the weirdest and cutest .... thing I have ever laid eyes upon. I don't hate it, it's something very original to say the least. But if I listen to any more of it I'm going to have to wrestle with a bear in order to feel manly again.

My web design teacher walked into class this morning, ashen faced, sat down and looking up with dead eyes informed us that he had just discovered Baby-metal. So imagine my amusement at coming home to find this exact song that broke his brain as the top post on my RPR feed. Ha! Small internet!

I like it! Reminds me of Evanescence a little bit. Thanks for sharing Sanne
...well, I would like to give my opinion on it, but the GEMA doesn't let me watch that video
I certainly enjoyed this one too. The video feels a bit silly in some parts but this one definitely feels more metal-y.

You're welcome! Yeah, in some songs they're really close to the 'clean female vocals' metal bands out there like Nightwish and so forth. In one song they've even included a hip-hop type song. It's all so weird but it works out well in my ears!
AND ONE MORE. This one is a more extreme J-pop/metal mix.
