Ceilibell relaxed in the sun, enjoying its warmth and fiddling with her flute. Nearby there was a small waterfall that pooled into the pond at her feet. She was sitting in the cool grass with her red hair splayed in soft waves down her back. She'd only recently found this spot. It was quite peaceful, and while she enjoyed performing for others in towns, today she simply wanted to play for herself. She lifted the flute to her lips and started to play. The tune started out simple enough, but even simple notes can make beautiful sounds if you put them together just right.
A young girl was wandering about, walking alone, looking around at the trees, that had the sun shining through the leaves. The birds chirping filled the air, but soon, something else followed. The sound of a flute.Curious, she followed the sound, leading to a red haired girl, who looked many years older than herself, who was playing the flute. It sounded so beautiful. The girl looked down at her flute that rested lightly in her hands. The young one looked back at the girl, listening, and watching ad she played. She was invisible to the world, so this crowd of one was anonymous.
Her flute song continued through melancholy notes when Ceilibell suddenly felt watched. Her red cat ears flicked around like satellites and the song died away. She turned around, looking for whoever or whatever it was. "Is someone there?"
The teenager frowned wheh she stopped playing, and hid behind a tree when the girl looked her way.The girl looked up, and out her flute in her belt and climbed up a tree. She looked down at the girl, and pulled her flute out.She lifted it up to her lips, and began to play. The sound of a lovely sounding flute filled the trees.
Ceilibell was surprised when flute music started playing somewhere in the treetops. Her started expression was quickly replaced with a wide grin as she closed her eyes and listened, her ears swiveling to catch the music. Whoever this person was, they really knew how to play. After a moment of listening to the player, she lifted her own flute back to her lips and played along, accentuated the music and weaving flawlessy through it but never drowning it out.
The ghost girl played her melody on the flute, allowing it to be carried throughout the forest.A tiny smile appeared on her lips as she heard the red haired girl below he in to play her flute as well.Starting a duet between the two.Since neither really knew who was playing what, it made it nice, and interesting.
Ceilibell stood up and walked through the trees as she played, trying to find the other person. When the song ended--as all songs must, if only for the player to rest a while--she called out to the treetops. "You play wonderfully, whoever you are. Won't you come down?"
The girl watched the other girl as she continued to play her flute.Hope could see the girl, but the girl couldn't see her.She didn't went anyone to see her,After a bit, sue parted the flute from her lips, and let her hand that was holding the flute fall to her side. She shook her head despite the fact the girl couldn't see her.
Ceilibell waited and was disappointed when they didn't come down. Were they afraid of her? Many people were, as soon as they saw her cat ears and tail. "I promise I won't hurt you...I know I don't look normal, but I'm really not that different from a human." Her tail curled up at the end to keep from dragging in the dirt.
The little cost girl didn't come down. She wasent scared of the thought that this girl had cat ears, and possibly a tail. She just didn't have a good part with society...She backed up a little on the branch, but fell off, and hit the ground below. It didn't make a sound, and it didn't hurt her.
Ceilibell leaned back against the tree, feeling a little dejected. She'd been excited when she found this person could also play and very well. She didn't like the silence much though and started talking again, well aware of the fact that the person could very well be gone. "I had to go into an old abandoned castle to get this flute. It looks like it's made of gold, but it's a lot lighter. I'm not sure what it is."
The ghost girl sat up, then stood up, and looked in the direction of the red haired girl. She hid behind tree...listening to the girl as she talked.Interesting she thought. The teenage girl sighed, she revealed herself, barely looking around the tree.
Ceilibell turned at the sound of the sigh and was surprised to see a girl several years younger than herself. She gave her a gentle smile, hoping not to scare her away. "So that's where you were hiding." She could have sworn that the music came from the treetops. "Where did you learn to play like that?"
The teenage girl didn't say much to this girl. She appeared human, unlike Ceilibell. "I taught myself, " she said quietly, but loud enough to hear.
Ceilibell looked at her, making sure the girl wasn't pulling her leg or anything. She didn't look very old, and it had to be difficult, learning to play so well on her own. "Had a lot of free time?"
The girl showed no sign that she was lying. Not in her expression, and not in her eyes. The little girl nodded. You could say that.
((Sorry, almost forgot about this when it didn;t show up in my newsfeed!))
Ceilibell tapped the end of her flute against her lips. "You live close by?" Suddenly, a thought struck her. "I'm not trespassing anywhere, am I?"
Ceilibell tapped the end of her flute against her lips. "You live close by?" Suddenly, a thought struck her. "I'm not trespassing anywhere, am I?"
The little girl shook her head, "I don't live anywhere close to here" she said."So I don't think your trespassing she said quietly.
"Oh, good." She said, relieved. Ceilibell grinned. "As much as people hate trespassers, they seem to hate the ones with cat ears the worst. Somehow we got pegged with a thief status."
The girl still hid slightly behind the tree, as if awaiting the worse from the girl."How?.." she asked the girl.
