I want to bury my face in her tummy and deal with all the tiny scratches on my face she's so cute.

Don't be jealous, but uh... I totally did that today and she didn't use her claws on me at all.

That is without doubt the cutest furry little bastard I've ever seen in my life.
I'm going to have to bring my parents' dog in and film her hissing at him. It's so freaking adorable, LOL.
Thanks for the soundclip, Sanne!
And omg those videos are ADORABLE!
I WANT A KITTEN!!
But I can't. 'cause we already have three cats. *le sigh*

Also, reading up on everything.
I'm so glad she's doing so well! Happy kitty seems happy from all the videos you put That's great! It's awesome that she's not hiding much anymore, too. When we moved to my new house, our one cat hid behind the water heater and wouldn't come out, so I know how hard a change of scenery is for cats (that cat used to be a stray too). So I'm really glad Dette is doing well!

Celes, you've NO idea how big of a help you were just now!
Today Dette has been emerging from the kitchen while I was trying to find her, but I couldn't figure out where she could possibly be. I almost tore my kitchen apart in frustration, but the moment you said 'heater', I opened the kitchen cabinet to my boiler. She snuck into an unfinished opening below the kitchen counter and somehow managed to get INTO the cabinet and sit on the boiler. I didn't know the cabinet was open in the back for the boiler, or at least open enough for her to squish through.
I barricaded the opening and now she can't get back in there, thank god. I don't know how safe such a closed off cabinet with a boiler is.

Yikes! Well I'm glad you found her and I could (inadvertantly) be a help!
When my friend got a kitten, she had a habit of hiding underneath the dishwasher because they didn't have the bottom seal to connect it to the floor. Kittens like getting into spots nearly impossible for us to reach, lol xD

Hahaha yeah. I'm going to have to find a permanent fix for that opening, but for now this one will do.
Anyone got any tips on how to reduce the smell of the litterbox? I clean it out twice a day but it still smells a bit sour in here. I light a lot of incense as well, but uhm, yeah. I still smell it. Living in a studio apartment doesn't help much.
You might try the tips found here? -> http://www.ehow.com/how_2045051_control-cat-litter-box-odor.html
My mom also swears by World's Best Cat Litter http://www.worldsbestcatlitter.com/
Though I am not sure if that is available where you live.

Those are nice tips! I seem to be utilizing a lot of them already. I already have good litter that clumps well, and like I said I scoop twice a day. I light incense throughout the day. I'm not sure about the soda though. The way I clean the litter box means that I literally turn over the whole box, more or less, to remove the clumps (I just shake it around so that the clumps come to the surface). Unless the soda should really mix with the litter, then that won't work. Not sure if I read that right though.
I'm not sure why the box should be placed in a private space though. I put the box in the center of my apartment (studio) and she's totally fine with using it. It's also the nicest place to put it, I had two litter boxes from the catsitting cats I had before nestled into corners, and it gave a much bigger mess and seemed to spread the scent much faster for some reason.
And I'm in the Netherlands, US based brands are generally unavailable here. I've found the cheap store brand litter from the local supermarket is really good though, as far as clumping goes.
pet dogs/cats/fish/bird etc - entertaining and manipulating humans for years she's cute glad you are dong well with her and she with you!
"MOVING OBJECT. Must. Paw. At."
"Steady... steady...! I can almost reach the desk!"
"Issa spa treatment."
It should be illegal for kittens to be this darned cute.
That's the old dog basket that the family dog grew up in. He's an old fart now and the basket wasn't comfy for him anymore. My parents wanted to throw it out, but I asked them if I could have it for Dette. It's fluffy and large and she climbs into it on her own, so I'm guessing she likes it too!

She looks so tiny in the big basket!! I suppose she will grow into it a little.

Haha yeah! I sent one of those basket photos to my mom, and it even made my dad laugh (he kind of hates cats). I was visiting my sister who lives on the other side of the farm, and my dad was there too. He actually petted her! He's never willingly touched cats before. It's so awesome.
Kitty found a place to sleep.
