Nariko took another bite of his waffles and slightly and silently nodded an okay. Seemed he'd be taking a trip back to the lovely wonder of knowledge, he just hoped he wasn't going to public schools, they sucked.
"The school isn't the greatest. People are pretty rough. But the teachers and classes are good. Just try not to get introuble." Rain tells him.
Nariko sighed silently under his breath. It seemed he'd be taking a field trip to public schools, oh isn't that just great. "Alright" Nariko said.
Rain knew the kid wouldn't like this. But he needs to fit in the town. Make friends. Alibis. Rain takes a deep breath. This should be interesting.
He wasent fond of it at all, and the last thing he needed was for people to continuously ask why he had an eye patch. The boy sighed, biting his tongue, avoiding the want to make a smartass comment.
He took a sip of his coffee and finishes eating. Thinking about what his has to do. Rain pulls out his wallet and gives Nariko $60. "Go buy school suppiles and whatnot."
Nariko finished eating shortly after Rain had, then took a sip of his drink. Nariko looked at the $60 before taking it, and putting it in a button-able pocket, so it would br safe and secure. "Right now?" Nariko asked.
"Sure. I don't care. You know where the building is. I have some business to take care of anyway." Rain says, staring off out the window.
Nariko didn't respond to the respond, but rather looked out the window too. Maybe school supplies could wait. After all, it wasent like he was starting tommrow...right?
"You have two days." He says, getting up. "To scout the girl. You start school at the beginning of next week."
Nariko nodded at the first part then glarred at Rain "should I start jumping for joy?" He asked in his smart ass British accent.
Rain raises an eyebrow. "I don't take kindly to smart asses, Nariko. Mind yourself." He shakes his head a little.
Nariko looked down, and grew silent. Taking the hint, he would try not to be a smartass. After a moment, he looked back at Rain.
"I have a meeting with someone. Be back by no later than dusk. I don't need you getting in trouble for being out past curfew." Rain tells Nariko, while putting a 20 dollar bill on the table to pay for the food.
Nariko looked at Rain and nodded an okay, before tilting his head slightly, "who?"
Rain slightly glances at Nariko. "Is that really any of your business, kid?" He says seriously, then after a moment he cracks a slight smile and messes up Nariko's hair. "Don't worry. Just an old friend."
Nariko wanted to say something to that, but was there really anything to say? It wasent any of his business, he just wanted to know. He looked down slightly, and shook his head. Not even seconds after felt Rains hand messing up his hair he looked back up at him. "Oh.." he said in quiet acknowledgement.
"I'll catch up with you later." Rain starts to leave. He stops at the door and looks back at Nariko. "Try not to burn the city down. Okay, kid?" He smiles and walks out. He has to get to a meeting alright. But not the kind anyone wants to mess around in.
"No promises" Nariko said to Rain, but in a 'not 100% serious' way. Seconds ticked by after Rain had left, abandoning Nariko. What to do..he began tô wonder if he should begin scouting his 'target'
Rain goes to an office building a few blocks away. He stands at the front doors. He wonders if he really should've left Nariko alone. This is a big city. And people aren't always the kindest folk.
