Alyusha is a brutally effective officer. A retired Marine Raider, she is well-known department-wide for getting the mission complete and solving difficult cases. She is also infamous for using excessive force. Of course, Alyusha claims that she's just giving the perps an "attitude adjustment they'll never forget" and loves to point out that the criminals she catches rarely reoffend. The upper brass begs to differ and after bringing in an important major drug dealer that they've been searching for the past year with a broken arm, broken nose, facial fractures and 5 missing teeth after a stay in the ICU overnight, the brass decide that she needs time to cool down and decide to put her in the Witness Protection Program.

Y/C is the son/daughter of a widowed wealthy philanthropist father who runs an NGO dedicated to fighting human trafficking. Y/C's mother was killed in an "accident" that was actually the result of a hit put out for her to intimidate Y/C and Y/C's father. This merely strengthens Y/C's resolve. Y/C works closely with his/her father and the two of you were hot on the heels of "Mr. X", a criminal kingpin who runs a successful and lucrative trafficking ring. Because Y/C's father was so close to revealing his real identity and whereabouts, Mr. X orders a hit on Y/C's father and Y/C. However, Y/C is away at the time the hit occurs and instead, Y/C's father is abducted instead of killed for leverage. A note is left for Y/C which states that he/she has 30 days to deliver a ransom of $50 million and to no longer pursue Mr. X. Not knowing what else to do, Y/C goes to the police for help.

Y/C is placed under the Witness Protection Program while things are being sorted out. Alyusha is assigned to be Y/C's liason for the duration of their time in WPP. A week later, Y/C is attacked by one of the men who had abducted Y/C's father and in the scuffle, Alyusha kills him unintentionally after suplexing him and he lands head-first onto the edge of the sidewalk. A few days later, Alyusha and Y/C are ambushed by the other men who abducted Y/C's father in retaliation while out and about and engage in a prolonged car chase that ends in a shootout in a construction site. While Alyusha emerges victorious and kills the 4 men, this greatly angers Mr. X as they were one of his most useful assets. This now puts Alyusha squarely into their crosshairs and a hefty bounty is placed on her head.

In addition, Y/C finds out from one of their inside sources that Mr. X has no intention of letting Y/C's father live after receiving the money. Between Alyusha's bounty and the life of Y/C's father, the two of you decide that you must descend into the criminal underworld to save Y/C's father, clear Alyusha's bounty and to end the reign of Mr. X once and for all.

Looking for a literate RP partner for this prompt or one similar to it! I'm open to romance so long as it's not forced.

I tend to write slowly and work 10 hours a day and my weekends are in the middle of the week. You can realistically expect about 1-3 posts a day from me. Maybe a bit more on my weekends (Wed and Thurs).

I do ask that you be literate and help move the story along a bit and not just respond to what I'm writing. Short posts and just responding and nothing more will get me uninterested real quick.

I'm cool with romance so long as it isn't forced and there's chemistry. The storyline is more important to me. If it gets far enough, I prefer fading to black (unless the chemistry is really good).

Fantasy elements are restricted to races only. Otherwise, the world is just modern day and magic/supernatural abilities isn't a thing.
