Anyone want to start a group RP? I don't have an plot ideas, but I was thinking fantasy, maybe mature if everyone is okay with that, if not that's fine. We can keep it PG.

Fantasy is the only thing I have done. I haven't tried anything else yet. I'm open to trying new things but I don't want to suck when I RP with someone. Haha.

I can do fantasy

Most places I've been, I set up a random thing that was fantasy-based but had other genres mixed in (and was thus dubbed "Only in Dreams"), always without a plot to begin with. Various people would join in, and the plot would develop as folks had ideas to follow. Not only did it tend to end up among the longest-running RPs in those places (since there was always some new line to follow), it also spawned at least a couple sequels, largely due to people enjoying a wide-open world that they could do pretty much anything in. Never had any space travel, though...

Actually, it was the predecessor to the more defined world-thing I've got, the one that a few of my characters belong to. ^^

Wow that would be awesome to have. I bet the RP was amazing.

It was, usually. ^^ The tricky parts were dealing with the occasional extended absences and sometimes people just outright disappearing, figuring out what to do when someone got stuck, and some folks plot-bits sometimes getting overridden by others.

The original also was killed by a selfish, godmodding prick.

I'd be interested, I've been short on group RPs lately.

Yes, that would be the only bad thing about groups. You have to wait until everyone is on to get replies fast. So I wouldn't want that many people; but enough.

Well the plot part can easily be fixed by assigning one person to be in charge or the overall plot and the direction the RP takes (so they would be a loose guide), or people take turns figuring out what to do next. I think what would work, anyone else? As long as the group sets the frame structure for rules and such, then it would run probably rather smoothly.

If you assign one person to it, it's likely to get unfair, if only because they have to support the whole thing. Talking things over OOC would prolly work pretty well, though.

Very true (I meant loose in an extreme way ). I personally like plot discussion before hand, but if it doesn't happen I just try to figure out something during the intro and throw it in. So curiosity, are we three interested in a group rp?

I do like at least an overall Idea, so that people aren't just like, "Hey no one said anything about dragons so I'm throwing a dragon in." Or you know completely random, even just creating guidelines for the world they are in.

I'm used to post orders in groups, first come first to go? Like Ashley would go fist as she started the group, then Chis would post after, then Gamers, I'm from Neo, and that's why I'm used to it.

Also For brainstorming at the least, we could have gvb, now it's even, good verse bad, or two groups trying to take over from something, thinking they are the good guys, and the others are the bad ones. It's not the ebst idea, but anything can help with brainstoming.
