Hey all, I haven't done much here in a while and I want to change that. Last time I've done any RPs -here or otherwise,- I've had stories that lack plot, or have some plot, but lack character development. That may be because of how long I took to reply on some of them, and then it died, or becoming speechless at points, and clueless as to what to do next.
Either way, I'm attempting to try this again. I tend to make larger posts, at least two paragraphs for me, but the length doesn't quite matter. Romance/Mature roleplays don't intrigue me at all, I have no wish to do any of the like.
I don't have a variety of characters. They're sort of combat-oriented as well, though, so, the "Action" genre fits well.
I've got an antagonist who I need to flesh out a bit, but he loves killing people, as long as he has an audience to witness it. And of course, he loves to watch the world burn, and people. He sets them on fire a lot. Especially people who get in his way... Or are out of his way, he really doesn't care. He's really just there to be the standard evil-guy who kills things that the hero will rise up against. Don;t really care about him.
I've got the "quirky" guy who travels via supernatural powers and usually ends up in a dimension he doesn't know anything about. Combat-wise, he calculates and applies the conclusion swiftly. I've worked on thsi guy a lot and have only recently updated many of his old abilities, and traits... Weaknesses/strengths sort of thing. So I've hopefully balances him out more.
The last guy is Daedrin, who I really don't know what to use him for. He's just there.
So yeah! That's about the gist of it. I'm going to pass out here for a few hours while this reaches somebodies attention! I will reply at my earliest convenience, because I have a lot to do other than post this, but I couldn't get it off my mind.
So anybody looking for a roleplay, this is a place to reply to! Assuming you;re interested in any of my characters. Just spew out some ideas for setting and stuff, see if we can flesh it out. I like detail.

I've got a couple that might interest you. Out of the four on the page for my shinigami:
Theo would be the one most likely to get into a fight, he's the most modern of all of them so it would only be a present day sort of setting. Normally he sticks around large cities or city scape areas.
Sherren won't get into one as easily but when in danger instincts kick in. He's the oldest of them and fits in any sort of time period, forests and areas that heavily wooded is what he likes to stick around the most.

Okay, so, setting-wise with your Shinigami, we'd be in a world where the fates of humans are decided by "Will". So the shinigami are there to kill whom he directs them towards.
Detail will matter to me in the fact that I know more about the "laws" of the universe, therefore laying down rules such as "are there individuals with supernatural abilities here?" etc. This also helps me to add to the story even if I'm not the one who has created this setting.
I find myself putting down ground-rules now, (doesn't have to be strict) because every time I roleplay, it dies somehow. Be it that nobody has ideas to advance the plot, or both contributors are too slow to reply, it dies slowly and painfully. So beforehand coordination is a good thing for me, lol.
I also think an environment like this would be good to have Xeron in, testing his morals/abilities and weaknesses. But this depends, would my character see the Shinigami as antagonists at first? Are there "bad" or "good" shinigami?
Just some random questions there. If you have any more ideas, that'd be cool!
The shinigami bit is intriguing, and we could maybe start with a basic beginning bit. I dunno, I should get to sleep, long day ahead. Thanks for the reply!

The fates aren't so much as decided as it is that there are set dates to where they die to keep the balance of souls that go to and from 'Will'. They actually have very little contact with the will. There would be people with supernatural abilities normally the two main races that I use are demons and angels but there's a bunch of other ones.
It is possible that they could be seen as antagonists, Theo (yellow eyes) more likely, he sort of has a half hazard way of doing things and doesn't always follow along with what he should and there's always that crazy bit. For Sherren if you would like to go with something like that, either his killing of who he needs to or we could do a sort of thing where he ends up getting really hungry and instead of animals he goes after humans. They're all pretty different in their morals and attitudes.

A good variety no doubt. Yes, Theo would definitely be seen as an antagonist at first depending on who's in control. Speaking of, I wanted to point out how cool that concept is...
Another question, should I create a character that fits into this Roleplay? (I could use more in variety.) Or should I just go with what I have? Granted, I haven't done much with angels or demons before, so it would be interesting to experiment with.

That choice is up to you, it doesn't matter to me what sort of character you have, what ever their race is. If you want to do something more fitting if you don't think that what you have does, then go ahead. Either way Theo is pretty fun to play as with how he acts.
Okay, how do you think this would be then? What's the goal for both or either character? Because if there's not something to keep it going, it may just end up like the rest of my RPs...
And Xeron's usually my default go-to character, so if I can't think of anything else, chances are I'll use him.

I imagine Theo would end up with a bunch of enemies. Maybe one of them is some sort of magic user and curses one of them while they're having their little spat. Or they get stuck not being able to move so far away from each other and they need to break the curse?
So it would start with them getting cursed? Or is that just a little background before wherever it starts?
On that note, where should it start?
Maybe Xeron saw a shinigami attempting to take a life, and, not knowing of this world's cycle, tries to stop it? Would that be too cliche, though?
That, and can other people see shinigami in that form?
Sorry if I seem indecisive... But I just want to understand a little more about the world instead of messing something doing something that doesn't fit.
That, or if it doesn't really seem to matter, we can just start.
You can even make the topic whenever if you want.

Um, they get into the fight and then they get cursed, I'm thinking. Yeah, shinigami are visible to everyone, they usually tend to keep moving around and out of sight though.
Nah you're fine. The questions don't bother me. There's a lot to my world but I don't exactly expect you to know of it all, it's more of that my concept of shinigami is different then what other's might think.

So, how would Theo make some sorcerer/someone who can curse a Reaper, let alone two, mad at him?
Sorry for the late reply.
Again, thanks for this, now I'm getting ideas for a character of mine I've always wanted to be a magic-user of sorts, lol.
And you're saying it'd start while Theo and whomever he got mad at him had their little spat, correct?

Most likely the yellow eyes side of him tried to kill him or played some sort of twisted game.
I was saying that it could start when the two that get stuck together have their spat, but now that I'm thinking about it could probably happen all at once. Like the man that he's chasing after trying to kill is the scourer and your guy comes along and tries to stop him and then it happens?

Sure, that seems like a good mixup. Nice before-hand action scene, but what would be the factor to keep it going?
Beginning action scenes are always nice, but having a goal to veer towards knowingly or unconsciously would be a good thing to have.
They could attempt to get rid of the curse, and my character, feeling partly responsible, tries to help. Maybe with some resistance from Yellow-Eyes.

Yeah, yellow-eyes, or Tea wouldn't be all to happy about it and he might attempt to kill the man he's stuck to, his other half would probably go along with helping. Maybe they're trying to find the scourer again or possibly Connie (who is a horrible magic user) to break it. I would imagine it would be difficult to do his job or for that matter get in a meal when stuck having to be so close to someone.
lol, what are the penalties of the curse if they move too far away from each-other, then?
Mmmm, maybe something similar to the start of a heart attack or they can't breath, sort of like the further they get away from each other the harder it is for them to breath.
Slow strangulation determined by distance, I like that idea, lol.
Anything else you would like to discuss before hand?
No, I don't think so, I think that covered the major bits and pieces.
Would you like to do this as a Forum Topic or a PM?

I like PMs better if you don't mind. They're easier for me to keep track of and not lose them.
