Lyra laughed and nodded, "Yeah, powerful attacks are useless if we can't hit things! But I'm sure we'll get the hang of it with some practice!"
She giggled and shrugged, "Maybe I can gear towards it.. I don't know more than you. But these scrolls and trainers an things sound good. I guess I'll just have to look for things like that when we go to the starter city," she grinned, "If I can learn both visual and auditory illusions, maybe I can make music again. I think I already told you I was a musician before... um... this. I had synaesthesia and it looks like I still have it so I can go back to making my new music!"
She smiled brightly to him, "You have a nice name, by the way, Taylor. It's this lovely shade of green. Like...um... spring green maybe? I dunno."

"Hey, that's cool!" Taylor replied. "What color is your name?" He asked as he looked around to see any other NPCs. "And, uh, do you wanna go kill something after this?" Taylor suddenly remembered he had to retrieve his arrows. When he looked they had vanished. A brief look of concern crossed his face before he realized somehow he still had arrows in his quiver. Concerned turned to confusion and then his attention, after all the events of those brief seconds ended, turned back to Lyra.
"Hey, that's cool!" Taylor replied. "What color is your name?" He asked as he looked around to see any other NPCs. "And, uh, do you wanna go kill something after this?" Taylor suddenly remembered he had to retrieve his arrows. When he looked they had vanished. A brief look of concern crossed his face before he realized somehow he still had arrows in his quiver. Concerned turned to confusion and then his attention, after all the events of those brief seconds ended, turned back to Lyra.

Lyra smiled at the question, "Colour? Hm... it's hard to describe... it's like... bright blue. Not a neon blue but more like... like... the clear sky on a summer's day, you know? That really beautiful deep blue..." She blushed and shrugged, "It's my favourite colour, luckily. But I like your name too, I like green!"
At his confused look about the arows she giggled, "Cool, guess you have infinite arrows in the game, instead of buying them. Not very realistic, but at least you won't run out! Imagine running out in the middle of a fight, ow that would be so embarrassing... and possibly fatal!"

"Heh, yeah... I guess it makes up for being a poor shot. I hope it stays like that after tutorial island..." Taylor was answered by the NPC they had just spoken to from behind him.
"It won't." Taylor sighed and looked down in defeat.
"Thanks," he said, and the NPC smiled politely. "Oh, and uh, it's cool my name sounds like that," the ranger said as he started off towards a path that led out of what seemed to be the walls of what was probably the safe zone. "Green's my favorite color," he continued explaining. "So I think we could fight something. It could maybe be interesting. I have a sword too, which I forgot to practice with, but with a short bow and a short sword I could probably do something to hold them off while you make their hair stick up," he said, teaser her at the end.
Taylor was too wrapped up in trying to see how the bow would work to remember to try his short sword. He knew he would have to use both in order to use his class to its most potential, otherwise he would have been better either choosing a guardian or an archer.
