Your character was looking around in a seemingly abandoned university with corpses all around it when all of the sudden, a man stumbled out from the darkness with blood on his glasses and on his face, a syringe with a glowing green liquid in it, and a noticeably irritated look on his face as he saw you. His short, black hair was unkempt, his tie stained; he was quite the mess. His mouth was in a straight line and his eyes were narrowed. He seemed to examine you carefully before he spoke, having a noticeable transatlantic accent,
"What are you doing here?"

Plausible legends of ancient magic, but current magic is not common.
Modern
Combat is expected as part of the storyline but it won't dominate the plot.
Romance isn't outright desired, but can happen if we decide the characters are perfect for each other. The romance won't be important to the overall plot.
