While studying abroad you find a box outside your dorm early one morning. Inside is a chocolate point Siamese kitten. You take the kitten in and when you return home from your trip he goes with you. After getting settled back in at home you start to notice that your kitten isn't quite like other kittens. You are sure that other kittens don't turn into little boys and back into cats on a whim like yours does. (Character similar to the kids in Wolf Children though not inspired by them.)
