Cutter spoke into the com "MAC blasts are online, Fire!" And with that four more MAC's hit the largest groups of Zerg. Alice ran into the base and began mowing Zerg down one by one with her Chain GUn, With Jerome blasting others with his spartan laser, And Douglas blowing other groups with his Rocket launcher "Sir, I think we need to abandon the base and just blow these guys apart from orbit" Buck said on the com, Cutter nodded "Agreed, But we need to get an LZ clear first" Buck got an idea "I have a plan, We can use are own base as a nuke on the zerg, Those reactors and pretty explosive when hit with Tachyon Radiation" Buck said on the com as the rookie drove his warthog back to the base and began mowing more down "We need that base to study the crystals... I have an easier plan" And soon there was a large shifting in the sky, then a bunch of cannon fire started raining down on the Zerg "We are in firing range for now, We will try and get the Zerg to fall back" Cutter said as the ships deck guns fired at them Zerg on the ground

The guardian and mutalisks all turned their attention to the spirit of fire. Several overlords all holdings hydralisks and zerglings began to fly up to the ship as well. With the main guns distracted and the zerg moving too fast for the mac gun to hit them they would surely deal a lethal blow.

A few guns were hit and a few destroyed, But the ships Anti-Air turrets fired lock on missiles and their chain turrets at the zerg in the air. And the Spirit of fire kept firing its deck guns at the Zerg below. The spirit of fire started deploying Wolverines from the air locks to fire their missiles at the Zerg and tons of troops, Warthogs and Hornets began pouring out of The Spirit Of Fire to attack the Zerg attacking the Spirit of Fire's deck guns, They were on THEIR turf now.

Buck fired his gun at any and all Zerg that were too close to the base to be hit by the deck guns.

On the spirit of fires deck overlords began to produce creep and release zerglings, hydralisks and some drones which began to create spine and spore crawlers. The guardians there bombarded the deck with their sludge like projectiles. One managed to take out a main anti air gun but it was shot in the process. The wounded zerg was chased by hornets until it crashed in one of the thrusters. Firing a last shot it took out the smaller engine next to it before being burnt in the main one. But on the surface the zerg inside the base managed to over power one of the spartans. Jerome had his shields taken down and got a hyrdalisk spine in his right shoulder. The spike pierced the armor and hit the bone causing sever pain. The brutalisk wounded brutalisk slammed into the reactor room and began to tear it apart.

Jerome shook the pain off and jumped on the Zerg and began stabbing it with his other arm. Seeing the Zerg beating the core up and saw it going critical "Sir the core is going critical!" JErome said, then buck drove in "If they want it so badly they can have the core!" THen the top of the fire base opened up and a long sword fired a strong cable onto the core and lifted it, Where the Bases guns obliterated the zerg on the core. The base shut down, however the long sword flew over the queen and slammed into the ground causing a masive explosion of the core, If it killed the queen was in-determinant, But there were tons of Zerg causalities non the less. "Hay Cutter, How are we going to get out of here?" Buck said shooting more Zerg with the Guass cannon as Jerome got in the side seat holding his arm.

"We will help you when we can" He says watching the Units obliterate the Zerg up her due to the sheer size and fire power of the Spirit of fire when one unit was knocked down or destroyed, Two more took its place. He was hoping he could kill enough of them to make the Zerg retreat and then get his men back upto the ship. And he was right, The more units the Zegr killed or destroyed more came flooding out. They would hold this ship, and it would be very hard to take from the UNSC.

The zerg queen fired at the incoming bomber. She let out a shriek of victory as it dropped it's cargo and crashed into the nearby hill. But as the reactor was about to hit the ground the queen released it was a weapons of sorts and let out a horrified shriek. The nuclear explosion detonated and destroyed the primary hive cluster. With the loss of the queen and the swarm leader of that hive the remaining zerg turned feral. They began to burrow and tunnel away and the ones on the spirit began to go crazy and tried to kill and attack everything. The zerg hive on the planet was virtually destroyed and the remnants became feral and mad as they fled for the stony hills. The UNSC would only have a short lived victory for with the hundreds of thousands of zerg pods coming they would not survive the next attack. But showing it's resilience the creep remained but with no sources of it it would slowly die out over the course of a few weeks.

The Zerg on the spirit killed a few more humans, But when the deck guns saw the Zerg retreating they began firing their large blasts at the Zerg and they were all killed eventually. Pelicans came down and extracted the Survivors of the base and they flew back to the ship and they began studying the Crystals. Cutter looked at Serena "Were the Zerg the only species on this planet? I dont want to leave anything, Or anyone behind if these buggers come back" Cutter said pacing along the bridge deck. "Scanning now sir..." Serena said waiting for her scans to come back

The only life on the planet were a few worm like creatures known as farol. They are eight foot long and have large jaws for rushing rock. However other then them there is a few very tiny reptiles and other creatures but no civilizations of any sort. With the zerg spread thinly now on the planet the survivors would turn feral and kill any and all other life on the planet and even other zerg if they became too feral.

Serena told Cutter and he nodded "Alright then, Tell the engineering teams to reactivate the orbital engines so we can get out of orbit" He says and sits down, and with that the Spirit of Fire began to lift out of the atmosphere and back into orbit. Cutter looked back at the planet, Despite the fact they had lost many people, He still viewed this as a success. They had killed off that alien species's leader and had disoriented them. He looked around the bridge and smiled "Another normal day" He says looking at Serena, Who smiled "Another normal day" She agreed

With the UNSC leaving the planet thinking they nearly wiped out the zerg they could never guess what they had done. Little did they know that was only a tiny hive. One that had only been created a few days before their arrival and the queen was only a new breed of control class. The overmind and it's cerebrates were the true controllers of the swarm. And with a cerebrate heading to the planet the UNSC thought they saved it would be a new arm in the warms growing grasp. The overmind resided on a planet beyond even the reach of the great halo arrays. The forerunners had no idea of the zerg or their mighty creators the now extinct xel'naga. But inside the area were the zerg had celebrates entire planets were covered in creep and not even a entire fully armored UNSC war fleet could stop the tens of millions of zerg. The UNSC would possibly seek out the nearest planet with life. The nearest planet was that of the Tarsonis in the Koprulu sector. This entire half of the galaxy was unexplored by the human race of earth but there was another human race in the Koprulu sector. This race was placed here by the forerunners as they were a different group of humans exactly identical with the humans of earth genetically but technology wise they were much different. But they had been fighting zerg for a while and in Tarsonis. But the UNSC would have no idea about the revolution going on and the internal battle of the confederacy and the forces of mengsk. But on this planet a terran ghost known as Sarah Kerrigan was on a mission and she and her great psionic powers would cause the highest of events to occur later in life.

There are many more links and custom details you can look at but f you just leave a lot of the describing and back story of the starcraft related things to me this will work out great.
I would love to continue it but what would you say to starting another fresh RP that is a direct sequel? That way I can introduce Kerrigan before she was infected and she can team up with your UNSC and we can work our way from there. But having some knowledge of starcraft will be greatly useful. )

The spirit of fire found a planet awhile later, How long later indeterminate, The ships clocks were destroyed during the fight with the covenant weeks ago, Serena would give them rough guesses, But they still had no idea the exact time they had been out here. they found Tarsonis, A strange planet. Normally they would have just passed it by and tried to make there way back to UNSC Space... But Serena had mentioned there is intelligent life on this world, That merited a look. Cutter signaled two Pelicans to drop off two Troop Transport hogs, One with marines and one with ODST's. They had no way to contact them from the ship, So they dropped the hogs off and they drove for the nearest Terran base.
