Atraxa's neat, but that bonus clue seems like it isn't pointing at MtG.

Aside from the obvious quip of: ours?? - let's see. The Bioshock series immediately comes to mind, as does Snow Crash, with its biological/linguistic behaviour programming virus.

Sofia Lamb from BioShock 2 hits a lot of these notes, in fact.

Alternatively, a long shot: ...Trolls World Tour??? Queen Barb?
Y'all mention Atraxa and my immediate question is: "Does anyone have more dice?" XD
Could this be something to do with the Necromorphs from Dead Space?

It tracks with the Markers promising unity (to the point that the cultists worshiping the things called themselves "Unitologists"), it was kiiiinda seen as a death cult in some cases, plus the necromorphs look undead but are actually part of a weird collective entity.

Clue 3 feels familiar to the lore of the later games which I haven't gotten to play yet but did some reading on because I knew I wasn't playing it any time soon.

For the bonus clue, I think at least most of what's going on is corporation run?

This is kinda an off-the-wall guess/path, but it might be worth considering, maybe.

Oh, I was only tangentially aware of Dead Space through a friend (totally typoed that as Dad Space at first and that sounds like it'd be a hoot but that's neither here nor there) - the necromorphs aren't actually dead? Do they kind of get immortal-ified?

Like, they are made from dead people, but they're also kinda infused with the psychic energy of the entities behind the whole thing with the eventual goal of collectively becoming a new one, I think? I think. It gets weird.

Also, Dad Space sounds like a 90s sci-fi sitcom in the best way. XD
A collective that builds in the shadows and spreads like a plague brings to mind the Borg Collective from Star Trek a little for me. “Cast from the halls of power” is a bit iffy though, maybe it could refer to one of the obscure EU novels where that’s sort of their origin story? The second bonus clue definitely fits though; their ships are (almost) all geometric solids XD

That's a good guess, and would've normally been my first thought, too, but we had a Star Trek riddle already as the Lower Symbol. There's not usually (LOL, see our conversation on the first page of this thread) a property or subject represented twice.

Thinking about ships with distinct aesthetics and spikiness, though, makes me think... *squints* But Reavers aren't followers of anything, are they...?

what happened in the comics, time to find out

How are we doing this Eve ning? :)
Dragonfire Moderator

Clearly none of us are EVE Online players. :P

These guys. Probably, specifically, this part:
Quote:
The Nation was thought to be gone, but in YC112 the Nation re-emerged. Nowadays, the Nation has sovereignty in the region of Stain and regularly stages Incursions into empire space.

Congrats on solving this symbol! The answer was "Sansha Kuvakei".

For those of you wondering how this answer could be arrived at, here's a quick explanation. :)
Prescience, designer of this riddle wrote:
In the midst of chaos, a being wielding harmony promised a new dawn, where bonds and chains give way to the liberty of the collective.
This clue plays on the idea of Sansha Kuvakei offering a utopian society amidst the war-torn galaxy of EVE Online, promising freedom from corporate exploitation.

A lie of salvation, forging a civilization without will, marching not to the beat of death but to the pulse of an unseen conductor.
This clue alludes to the creation of True Slaves, the cybernetically controlled zombie-like followers of Sansha Kuvakei. They're like the Borg and are at his total mercy.

Cast from the halls of power, influence spreading like a plague, building a collective in the shadows, ever-growing, never dying.
This clue refers to Sansha Kuvakei's exile and the subsequent expansion of his mind-controlled followers. The reference to a plague and a collective in the shadows refers to him capturing and converting civilians in the lawless places of the Cluster.
