I've been working on my character Shade's profile and I have been having trouble getting the foreground a different color then the background... Any ideas?

Do you mean stacked colors within each other, or by foreground do you mean the text?

The background behind the text... >.< Eh I have no idea on how to work it.

There's the background in which I have an image then I want to put a background behind the text in which I want to change to change the degree of its opacity if possible. (I haven't messed with this stuff in ages)

The HTML is built with boxes inside boxes, and the inner ones appear on top of the outer ones. So a background added to an inner box would still appear behind the text, but in front of the outer box. Most of them are divs and there's info on them in the Help pages. If you need more, I can try being more clear once I'm on my computer again, if someone else doesn't answer first.
