EYY, THANKS! Yes, I just used to do a LOT of reading, and my earliest tabletop experiences were with World of Darkness, but like... as run by the homeschooled lol. It's the 20s and the world's on fire again, I think it's my duty as a veteran clown to dust off the old bongos and go do public displays of fullcringe social commentary entertainments.
Let's be poets on the road, but instead of trust funds sending us across oceans it'll be innanets access privileges sending us across popcultures, k'hyuck!

I read the introduction posts. Always look for the people that started off roleplaying the same place I did.
I don't usually comment on them.
But I got a whole kick out of this it was a trip to read start to end. Had a hard time following the main character though.. what is your status? Are you safe? Displaced? Hiding in a Walmart in Oklahoma?
Welcome 😁

I don't usually quote the replies, but yours is exemplary!
I actually am five years past being displaced
(hopefully and likely for the LAST TIME, LMAO), but not ever afraid of being unhoused again (loads of family and friend support, when I joke about socialism it's not an invitation to get political or offtopic or break forum rules, it's just what I was raised in and what saved my life even tho we just... idk we just didn't call it! that! Because some ancestors of mine had to live through [redacted] and then later the McCarthy ? Era? Which was... ooph. Chicago is a big place, tho, and the miami-illinois territory bigger, so I can feel comfy releasing that information to innanet strangers -- specifically because i escaped the farm, wakka wakka).

Anyone keen on Disco Elysium is welcome as far as I'm concerned.
Apparently I need to explore this bc the name alone is magnificent, but also... I keep seeing it as a reference.
