Y/C is a mad scientist, he has been in hiding in a secret lab, located in a warehouse on the edge of the English city. He has done many attempts of experimentation on things not of the humankind, and is ready to try and experiment on humans.
When he discovers M/C while taking a visit to the city, he kidnaps him and proceeds to make him his new experiment.
But, after a while, Y/C starts to feel very, very guilty, and realizes that.. this isn't right. But unable to go back to the city, as the Scotland Yard is searching for Y/C and M/C, he decides to keep M/C at his lab, even without experimenting on him, and subconsciously experiments on himself, a social experiment, or better yet, a parental knowledge experiment.

On very, very, rare occasions there may be unexplained, POSSIBLY supernatural events. Minor "environmental" magic. Perhaps implies the existence of a deity or supernatural entity. Or perhaps it's just tricks?
Near future, perhaps cloning and genetic manipulation
Combat is woven into the storyline and could come to the forefront if the characters seek it out.
No romance at all will be included in this plot, period.
