The worst part of roleplaying for me is trying to connect with people who put up amazing ads that draw me in. I DM reply, and I am greeted with silence and in this case, the cool character and the account deleting. This has happened a few times to me. I can't help but take it personally. It kind of goes along with what 0089 said,
I've had that happen a few times as well, though that is worse since you have time and energy invested in a story only to have it come to a screeching halt and left for you to write some sort of epilogue to it.

It looks like this thread has passed from "Let's discuss one specific issue" into Pet Peeve thread territory. Due to the hurt feelings and drama they inevitably cause, we don't permit them at all. As such, I'm locking this thread up.
