A young girl crawled through the mud, keeping her head down to avoid the barbed wire above her. She didn't complain as she cut her elbow on the wire, or when her clothes were covered in mud when she finally emerged on the other side. She just kept running, through tires and over walls, sweat budding on her forehead. The girl hated it here, it was a prison for children where everybody was mixed with some kind of animal. But things were going to change tonight, she was going to escape this nightmare even if it meant getting killed.

Walking back to her dorm she passed guard after guard. noting where every single guard was as she traveled through the too white hallways in her dirty clothes. A muddy white shirt and some tan slacks, the same thing the boys wore.

She finally got to the girls bathroom, walking in and locking the door behind her. The girl went into the last stall and took the cover off the vent, climbing gently in. She heard pounding on the door already, hoping it was just another girl. She continued to travel through the vent until she was outside again, kicking out the second cover and running over to the wall. Sirens started to blare as she climbed over the wall, landing carefully on the other side. The little girl ran towards the woods and to the road on the other side, hoping for a car to pass by.

a girl who looked about 16 was driving down the road past some woods hear sirens coming from some were but when she looked behind her there was nothing there when she turned back to look out the front she saw what looked to be a small child on the side of the road.

she stopped at once not caring that it was raining and jumped out going over to the small child.

The girl's hair was plastered to her head, the purple in her hair standing out against the black. She watched as a car came down the road and suddenly stopped, a girl jumping out soon after. The little girl hugged herself to keep a bit more warm, glancing over her shoulder at the woods.

comes over to the little child seeing it is a little girl and comes to her* sweetie what are you doing on here in the rain?*kneels down to her height and looks at her gently brushes the hair from her face and looks at her waiting for her to talk*

The small girl stiffened just a bit when the girl came over and brushed some of the soaking wet hair out of her eyes, clearly waiting for an answer. The little girl shook her head and pointed to her throat, indicating that she could not speak.

The sirens were still going off in the background, the rain muffling how close they actually were to the facility. The little girl glanced uneasily over her shoulder, a flashlight beam just barely visible through the gloom.

shh its alright you don't have to be scared of me sweetie*looks at her and watches her shake her head and point to her throat and then i nod in understanding* you cant talk well that is ok sweetie*watches her look over her shoulder uneasy and sees the beam of light* sweetie are they looking for you?*looks over at the trees again then takes her hand gently* come with me sweetie i will get you out of here ok?

The little girl nodded to the girls two questions, letting her take her hand. She used her other hand to pull out a small metalic plate attached to a chain around her neck, unsnapping it and holding it out for the girl. Written on the tag was two things a name, Luna, and a number, 001.

looks at the girl and takes the chain and looks at it then back at her* your name is Luna? what a pretty name*smiles softly at her and helps her in to the car and gets in on my side after bulking her in and drives away from the wooded area and then looks at her* well Luna...can you tell me how old you are? or show me?

Luna nodded to both questions again and looked down at her fingers, clearly thinking hard. After a couple minutes of thinking, she finally held up six fingers with a goofy grin. The girl was really smart, she just couldn't speak at all because her vocal chords were torn at a young age and never properly healed.

smiles at her and nods* so your six huh? well im going to take you to my place my brothers are away and will be for a while so you can stay with me...if you want to that is or do you have some place you can go Luna?

Luna nodded and pointed at her, indicating that she would like to stay with her. Then she pointed at the girl again, wanting to know her name too.

she smiles* "well that is good"*looks at Luna when she points again* "ahh you want to know my name well im Winter Rose you can call me just Winter or just Rose if you would like"* she smiles at the girl again

Luna smiled and looked out the foggy window, not seeing a single sign they were being followed. You could tell Luna was thinking about something because of the way her gaze wandered off into space and her small ears twitched. She was wondering why the bad people weren't following them, did they not need Luna anymore.

she watched the girl seeing she was thinking of something but did not bother her when she thought and kept on driving. it seemed like hours before they finally got to Winters home and the rain has stopped by then. Winter got out and came around and helped the little girl out of the car*

Luna unbuckled and turned in her seat, using winter to help her out. She looked up at the house, staring in awe at the size of it. She had never seen a house before that she could remember, the white coats had kept her in the lab the whole time.

Winter smiled and took her hand gently* "well this is my home...now your home too if you would like it to be Luna" she smiled down at the girl as she looked up at the big house in awe*

Luna nodded and held Winter's hand, a little scared about going in the house. Her tail swished back and fourth through a hole in her jeans, her scaredness showing through a bit. Nevertheless, she picked her chin up and looked at Winter, ready to go in.

she smiled and takes you in the house* "no need to be scared Luna no one is here but you and me right now and that is how it will be for a while till my brothers return"

Luna nodded and followed her in, looking at everything they passed. The door shut behind them, probably by Winter, and they stood in the foyer.

she smiles watching the little girl look around the large house* "ok so maybe its more like a mansion then a house but....its home so if you ever want to be left alone then just go and find a spot in the house and call it your own ok?"she smiles at her*
