so basically our ocs are royalty and had been in love throughout their early teenage years — like, silly puppy love. y/c would’ve been the hopeless romantic type (opening doors for mine, picking flowers from the garden, etc)
eventually, y/c’s parents died in this accident (doesn’t matter what), and they realize they need to get their head on straight. so, slowly they start to pull away from m/c and change personality wise into a pretty cold and blunt person.
years go by and y/c is finally of age to take over the throne but they need a companion to run it with them. The closest kingdom is m/c’s, so a marriage is issued. During the time they were apart, m/c grew to despise y/c — they acted like nothing happened between them and that made her angry.
so, they’d need to get married for convenience while in the midst of hating each other. eventually, there’d be rekindled flames and so on
m/c is gonna be female!! any gender pairing is fine! i’d prefer if you could write at-least literately but we can compromise if you REALLY can’t.
