Vance picked up the board and put the money on the counter, then walked out of the store and jumped into the air and Launched himself forward towards where they came. Miles flew next to them as they flew.
Mia clutched Vance around the chest, squeezing just a little bit too hard. The one thing you normally didn't do when you were a werewolf was get in the air, it was a common fear for them. Her eyes were snapped shut as she felt Vance take off by the wind on her face.
Vance roared in joy of being up in the air. "Isn't this awesome, mia?" He asked, not knowing about her dislike of heights.
"Nope, I think I would've had a better chance of running home despite the possibility of fainting." She practically whimpered, her eyes still shut tight. "Werewolves and Heights are not a good combo."
Vance stopped dead in his tracks and he landed, trying to be considerate. "You should've told me. I wouldn't have flown if I knew that. Here, I'll just carry you from here." Vance carried her on his back all the way back to the camp.
Mia yelped at the sudden drop, clutching Vance even harder. "I thought I could just suck it up for the time being, it's quicker flying then walking or running." She released her death grip on his torso and laid her head back down on his shoulder. "Wake me when we're there." Her last request before falling into a deep sleep from the silver.
When they reached there destination, Vance moved mia so she was in his arms. "Mia, we're here." He said, trying to get her to wake up.
Instead of an answer, Mia's head just rolled to the side. She was clearly out of it because of the silver, it was making her immune system actually work for once instead of just healing without a problem.
Where do I need to take you for you to get better?" Vance asked, obviously concerned for her well-being.
Instead of an answer from her, a deep rumbling voice spoke up from somewhere behind Vance. "You must bring her to the healing ten and stay with her as her system tries to fight the silver." The man said, pointing to a medium sized tent that sat near the tree line. The man was heavy set with large bulging biceps and was obviously Mia's father, they had the same set of jaw when faced with something difficult.
Vance nodded an okay. "Thank you sir." The dragonslayor walked to the tent and put mia down on a makeshift bed he found there and sat on the floor next to her with miles.
The man nodded and walked over to the tent with him, closing the flap behind Vance. "May the gods be with you daughter." He whispered, walking away from the tent and into the woods.
Once the battle with the silver had fully engaged, Mia started thrashing around on the small cot. Sweat poured from her forehead as her fever spiked, the silver seeming to win at this point.

"Mia!" Vance yelled but knew she probably couldn't hear him. Still concerned, he kneeled over her and blew a cold breeze over her forehead and made a small crown out of ice and put it on her head to help her cool off. After he did that, he grabbed some towels and began to dry all of the sweat off. "Please be alright, please be alright." He mumbled as he did this.
After about ten more minutes of thrashing, Mia lay still. Her breathing had steadied and the wound on her shoulder had started healing normally now, once it finished healing te only thing left would be a rare scar.
Mia had heard Vance's cries of helplessness while she had been unconscious, he had actually given her something to fight for. A friend, possibly a boyfriend. Moving her head a bit to the side, she opened her eyes a bit and smiled at Vance. "Hey." She whispered.

Vance looked exhausted from worry and guilt, but looked at her and smiled all the same. "Hey. Glad to see you've recovered." He said. "You're all better now!" Miles said, happily jumping up onto the makeshift bed.
"Takes a little more then some silver dust to put me out of commission." She winced as Miles jumped up on the bed. "Hey Miles, glad you could make it." She added, yawning a bit. "So, when do I get my new shirt?" Mia smiled jokingly to Vance, raising her arms over her head to stretch.
"As soon as your feeling all better we'll go get you a new shirt." Vance said, smiling at her.
Looking at her wound, she watched as the last bit of skin healed, leaving only a scar where the bulls had gone in. "I'm ready, just no flying." She said, grabbing the skateboard that laid against he inside of the tent. "We can ride boards there."
Vance shrugged. "Okay. I don't have one though." He pointed out.
"I have extra, you just destroyed my favorite." Mia responded, getting up and walking out of the tent. She walked over to the treelike and got out another skateboard, one made of a strange wooden substance. Walking back to the tent, she tossed it to Vance. "Know how to ride?"
