A small golden sign can be seen on the ground near a large pit. If one reads it, one can see that it reads:
"I found vast amounts of treasure down the pit. Just look down the pit and you can see it. I sadly cannot take all the gold, so I entrust it to whoever comes next."
Meanwhile, Patches squats nearby, seemingly doing little more than resting.

After dealing with some little problems, and after finding a good tavern where he was fed and hydrated,
That dwarf kept walking, seemingly more happy, althought he is usually traveling on the back of his most trusted black goat, he choose to leave her to the kingdom he work for, by security measures.
Seeing a pit, he carefully approached, and looking around, he found a sign, read the message and he shook his head.
"It’s too easy, what does it hide?"
He dealt with bandits before and fought a bunch by himself.
He couldn’t find who signed the sign, he couldn’t tell from who it was coming from.
A king who passed away?
A brave knight who also passed away?
Or,
A lie?
By climbing and looking down, he saw the gold, it looked so tempting, but what does it hide? Why is it in plain sight?
He waited by the pit, holding a dagger with him, one that glow in a blue-ish tone, a work of his.
No matter how long, he will wait, sooner or later, he’ll see who is behind this.

Patches slowly crept behind Peewit as he was looking down the pit.
"You greedy bugger! Thought you'd just help yourself to some old treasure, huh?" He said.
Patches raised his leg and heartily kicked Peewit down the pit.
"Every age, tainted by the greed of men, it seems. Well, enjoy your gold, you gullible little man!"
However, on closer inspection, it would seem that the gold in the pit is nothing more than rocks painted gold and covered in glitter.
"I'll wait for ya to starve and come down there to relieve you of your trinkets. You're going to make some lucky customer very happy, bruv!"

Althought, if Patches thought he fell down, he would actually appear from behind a tree.
"Nice try, did you liked my doppel?"
A poof could be heard from the well, the dwarf appeared to be even more smart than anyone could imagine here.
"You couldn’t tell it, my 'greed' is but a play from me, i am an entertainer, after all, while you, you are just what the king love to hunt."
He kept his attention on him, pointing his dagger at him during his entire speech, refusing that this 'weird dog' try anything.
