This is amazing! I think you are dragging me back to vocal synthesizer songs, man.
I never knew there are VS models with anthro avatars, but last time I was in the fandom was about 2017.
I honestly can only imagine how hard creating songs with these can be, I only tried using MMD for animation and some VS demos years ago, and it was really hard, lol
Did you remove the original vocals yourself, or use some sort of instrumental version from the Internet?

Aw, thanks! I'm flattered!
What do you man by VS models? You mean voicebanks?
The first furry voicebank (Giga Lacan) was made in 2009, so you probably just never saw any. There's even a furry Vocaloid now!
MMD is not a vocal synth like you seem to think, but just a 3D animation software. This cover was made with utau, specifically OpenUtau's DiffSinger AI plugin- which is very slow and took me ~2 hours to finish .
As for the instrumental, it is publicly distributed by the original artist.

I didn't know how to exactly describe what I meant. By VS, I mean vocal synthesizers, and by avatars, I mean the characters that represent them. Hatsune Miku being an "avatar" for a certain voice. And I'm aware that MMD is not a vocal synth, I was talking about using both to create music and a music video. MMD was a common software for Vocaloid music videos when I was still interested in these.
I apologize, I was a bit unclear, I admit, lol.
Also, can you explain the AI plugin for utau? It spooked me a bit, softwares like Vocaloid were never really exploitative (as far as I know) but AI used for art usually is. I really hope it's a different situation and no theft or environmental harm is done, since just I love how this sounds so much '-'
Don't worry, Diffsinger is entirely ethical. The models are typically trained by the people who voiced them and are used in almost the exact same way as utau voicebanks, using pitch tuning, midi notes, etc., only using an ai model rather than using filters to pitch up phonemes that typically results in a more realistic voice at the cost of more needed cpu power and less wide of a vocal range.
They also take way more time to make to the point that if you're only using it to steal someone's voice without their permission, it is typically not worth it compared to other ai voice engines. Vocaloid has even done a similar thing, making their own ethical ai voice engine for Vocaloid6. Most modern vocal synths take that strategy in fact.

That's amazing! Thank you for clarifying.
Again, as I said, the cover is amazing
