Whisper nodded visibly shaken by the attack. She exited the van and offered an arm to Falcon.
"Can I use your phone?" she asked holding a handout.
Explaining, "I know a guy that will help us out. But we will have to get a block away from here."
After a moment she added, "I don't think you will like him."
Whisper did not like him. That was not really strong enough, Whisper would have been okay with Falcon hurting him. She knew this favor was going to cost her in ways that she did not want to think about. On the street you routinely made deals with the devil knowing someday it would die from it.

What for? I have a safe house for us a few streets over. *he digs in his pocket and pulls out his phone. Fallon frowns as he attempts to turn it on, the screen foggy and cracked from the fights over the past 2 days* damn… I think it’s a goner… the rain probably got in the cracks… *falcon sighs and puts his phone back in his pocket* I have a phone at my dads you can keep. Let’s just get there in one piece first. *looking around Falon starts whispering and carefully picking my his way around the streets looking for the children* psst guys? Where are you? *he looks back over his shoulder* is there a place you meet them if something like this happens?
Whisper chuckled then said, "We were just there."
"They will hide for the night and I can find them tomorrow," she said about the kids.
"Let us get you to your Dad's house," she said trying to help him.
*What kind of person has a safe house?* she thought to herself.

*Falon frowned* let’s find the kids first before we head out… I’d rather not leave them out in the cold when we have a warm bed to sleep in. *he swivels his head looking around taking note of the surrounding buildings and street signs. The sun would be rising soon Falon noted as the first signs of dawn began to pierce the sky*
Whisper exited the car after pushing the man off herself.
"We need to get that bleeding undercontrol quickly," she said.
She looked at the man on the ground. With the grace of a cat she rulled the man out of his coat. It was very large but it would cover the bloody shirt. She looked at the shoulder holster and undid the harness and pulled it free. She three clips were attached to the harness and slid it into her bag. She grabbed the man's wallet, watch, and ID badge. All went into her bag. She tried to get the ring off his finger but gave up when it would not budge.
Standing up, she offered the coat, trying to help him into it. She wanted to make sure they laid a false trail to keep them busy.
When ready, she looked around and nearly dragging Falson down the alley and then through a space between to building wide barely wide enough for a body to walk sidways through.
"I have an idea where they might go," she said to Falcon almost dragging him down they alleyway.
Sirens wailed and lights flashed as the man in the appartment must have called the police. They needed to get off the streets. She would be easily identified.
