Ethan was sitting on a bench. It was in the morning and he was tired from the previous night but managed to keep himself up. There was only a few minutes left until college started. He stood up and started walking towards the college.
Marina cursed her alarm clock for not ringing because its battery had died. She raced up the walkway to the school. Late, she hated being late. Her blond hair flew behind her as she ran. Running of course, led to her bumping into someone. She nearly knocked both herself and the other person over, but managed to slow just before hitting them. "Sorry!" She yelped, moving to step around them.
"Its okay" he replied. She wasn't the only person who has been late. "I'm guessing you just woke up"
She paused when he replied and managed a sheepish smile. "Yeah... my alarm didn't go off." She managed a small laugh. "But I have to hurry... class is in 5 minutes."
"Okay, see you later I guess" he said before continuing on with going to his class. He didn't know if he was going to meet her again, there may be chance that it might happen.
She flashed him a small smile before running to class.
Once she was in class, she couldn't help but wonder who he was. She couldn't remember seeing him around before. But he was kinda attractive... and he didn't get too angry about her running into him...

For some reason Ethan couldn't get the girl out of his head. He has had a couple relationships with some girls but both unfortunately ended earlier than he would've liked. He had no idea why he was thinking about his relationships in the middle of class. He then tried to concentrate on his class.
Class felt like it took forever. Her mind kept wandering back to the guy she'd met. She'd never even had a boyfriend... but for some reason this guy interested her. After class was over, she walked to her next class, feeling a little confused by her own mind.
At lunch he found a space to sit down. Ethan noticed the girl he met briefly. He thought about waving but decided against it as he only met her recently and not for very long.
Marina wandered into lunch and looked around, sort of hoping she'd see the guy from earlier. But there were lots of people and she gave up, settling down in to eat.
When he saw her sitting alone he decided to go to her. Ethan got up and started to walk towards her.
She noticed him walking in her direction, but she didn't think too hard about it. He probably was going to sit with friends or something.
He approached her and said "hi". He felt a bit awkward as he didn't know what else to say
Marina smiled shyly up at him. "Hi. Sorry about earlier." She felt a bit embarrassed about it still.
"It's okay, I've had many late wake ups as well" he replied. Often because in the previous night he was doing stuff he's not supposed to. "What's your name?"
She smiled softly. "Marina. And yours?" Her gaze focused on him, and she took a moment to look at him, because in the rush of the morning she'd only really gotten a glimpse or two.
"Ethan" he told her and he too got a better look at her. Ethan did seem to find her attractive, which was probably why he couldn't stop thinking about her. He didn't exactly know what to say next so he asked "So, you got to class on time?"
She smiled a little and relaxed. "Barely." She laughed softly. "I made it just a matter of seconds before it started."
He nodded. "You mind if I sit down? "
She scooted over to make room. "Go ahead. I don't mind." She gestured to the empty table. "It's not like I have to worry about crowd control."
