He sat down and looked around. "So is this your first year here?"

Marina nodded. "Yeah. It is. How about you?"

"I've been here for a while" he replied. Ethan also has a good idea of how this college works. "How are you finding it here?"

She smiled. "Oh." She shrugged a little. "It's alright so far. I'm a little shy... so making friends is hard."

"I know, its hard to get people to talk to you. I was in that same position, even when I eventually got friends, I still don't know how I got any." he said.

She shrugged a little. "I hope I make some soon." She glanced at him. "I mean... you could be my friend... if it's not too much trouble for you."

He nodded. "Sure, we can be friends" It was good having a new friend, even when it was rather quick. Maybe this was especially good for Ethan has he had a feeling about Marina that he didn't feel for other people. "Do you wanna meet after school after school ends?"

Marina smiled. She was glad to have finally met someone, and hopefully someone who'd be a good friend. Or more. She blushed a little at the thought. "Sure, okay." She nodded.

He smiled. He had a good feeling about her.

After school, Marina wandered out to the walkway, looking around, watching the other students all scattering to go spend their afternoons either studying or having fun.

Ethan was leaning on a nearby tree. He had free time until night, he had something that he needed to go to, which was very important. When he noticed Marina he waved to her.

Marina noticed Ethan and smiled and walked over to him. "Hey. How are you?"

"Pretty good, you?" he smiled at her. He wondered what they would do for the rest of the day as he hadn't really planned anything.

"I'm alright." She smiled. "So, what kinds of things do you do for fun?"

"I do a range of things" he said. Actually most of the time he works inside his shed but that wouldn't be classified as 'fun'. "What do you do for fun?"

She thought about it for a while. "Read, I guess... which isn't really a good activity for more than one person."

"What type of books do you like to read?" he asked. Ethan wasn't a big reader but every so often did look at some books.

"All kinds really. But mostly fantasy and adventure." Marina smiled.

"That's nice. What type of movies do you like?" Ethan reckons that they could either watch a movie together or talk, based on their favorite activities.

Marina thinks about it. "Um. I dunno. Anything that is not scary." She smiled quietly.
