He nodded. "Have you seen anything strange recently? Like on the street?" he asked. As his part time job as at night, he needed to be careful, which is why he asked.

She tilted her head at him curiously. "No. Not really. Why?"

"Oh it's nothing. I was just wondering if you did." He said trying to think of a different subject to change to.

"Ah. Okay." She looked up at the sky for a moment. Then, back to him. "Do you like ice cream?"

He nodded. "Yeah. Who doesn't"

"Weird people don't." She smiled a little. "But, I was thinking we could go get ice cream... rather than just standing and talking. What do you think?"

"I think that's a good idea" he said. "Which is the best place to go?"

She thought about it for a moment. "There's this little place down the street that has really great ice cream."

He nodded. "Okay let's go. You lead the way" he got up from leaning against a tree, getting ready to go.

Marina smiled and turned and led the way down the sidewalk, humming to herself.

Ethan followed her. This was definatly the fastest time he became friends with someone but he had some feeling about her and not just because she was attractive.

Marina paused in front of the ice cream place and opened the door for him. "Here it is." She smiled. "They have some pretty good flavors. And you can get them to mix anything you want into the ice cream."

He entered through the door and had a look at the flavors. He liked a lot of different flavors, but settled for vanilla mixed with chocolate.

She followed him in and waited for him to pick what he wanted before she picked cake batter flavored ice cream with chocolate chips mixed in.

He gave his order in and waited for it to be made. After getting it he payed for it and started eating his ice cream.

She gave her order and waited patiently. She paid for it and then turned to him, smiling softly, licking her ice cream.

While eating his ice cream he shifted his eyes to her. "So you're enjoying yours?"

She nodded and smiled. "Yeah." She continued licking her ice cream.

He continued eating his ice cream. He looked at his watch, it was getting late but would tell her once he finished his ice cream.

She continued eating her ice cream, uncertain what to say. She didn't really have anything to say. But it was nice to have made a new friend.
