He was thinking about giving her some money as he as quite a lot but that would seem a bit suspicious. "Do you have any ideas of how to get some?"
Marina thought about it for a while. "I dunno. I'll have to get a job eventually."
"I'm sure you'll find a way" he said to her. "Any ideas you have for a job?"
She shook her head a little. "Not really... I mean, just the usual suspects... working at a local restaurant or something."
He nodded. "Would you like some help?"
Marina smiled a little. "Sure. Okay. What kind of help?"
((Sorry for not replying!!! It got lost in my feed after I was gone for the weekend!))

"I don't know yet" he replied. "I'll come up with it eventually"
(Its okay)

"Okay." She smiled slightly, glad for the offer of help. "Thanks for being willing to help."
He nodded. "Any time" he looked at his watch. "I should probably go now" he said.
"Alright." She smiled at him. "I'll see you later, I guess?" She stood up.
"Yeah" he said standing up. "See you later" he said before starting to walk back home.
The next day he woke up. It was Sunday. He somehow fell asleep, last night it was a while before he could fall asleep. Ethan's eyes were quite tired. He dragged himself out of bed and got dressed into some clothes. He opened a drawer and took out a packet of white powder. What a way to start a day.
More awake after that, he went to the shed to do some work.

Marina stayed outside for a while longer, before going back into her house and getting some food before she went to bed.
Morning came all too soon... and it started with the sound of Marina's mom yelling at someone on the phone. It was not going to be a good day.
With a sleepy sigh, Marina got up and got showered and dressed. By the time she was done, her mother was quiet again. She headed downstairs to eat, and avoided looking at her mother who was sitting at the kitchen table with a scowl on her face. Since Marina's father died, her mother had been angry, always. It seemed to be her way of coping. It had been years now, but she was still angry all the time. And when she wasn't angry she was out at a club getting drunk or high.
Marina just felt tired of it all... was it too much to ask for a normal life?

After a while he stopped working and went outside. Ethan lit up a cigarette, another habit he couldn't quite easily. He sat on a bench, living alone he didn't really have many people to talk to. He glanced back at his shed, tonight will be a big night.
After breakfast, Marina left the house. She walked down the streets, not really heading anywhere. In all honesty, she just didn't want to have to be home with her mother. She couldn't wait to live alone... and not have to tread cautiously all day to avoid a possible explosion of tempers.
He tossed the cigarete away after a while and he stood up. Ethan was about to turn around but noticed Marina in the distance.
Marina continued wandering, not noticing Ethan just yet. She watched the street as she walked, listening to the sounds of cars and birds.
This time Ethan didn't go up to her. He didn't want to look like he was following her.
Marina kept walking and as she got closer to where he was, she spotted him. "Oh hey." She smiled a little.
"Hi" he replied smiling at her. "What brings you here?"
"Just wandering. So, pure luck, I guess." She laughed a little and smiled at him.
