"I don't really do much" he said. Apart from making drugs. "I look at information and learn about new things. I don't seem to be going anywhere in life though"
"Ah. I see." She said quietly, her gaze wandering around the surrounding area. What should she say to him? She didn't know how to talk to boys.
Something occurred to him. "Last night, you were out. What do you usually do at night?"
"Oh. Um... just look at the stars or think. Nothing interesting. I was never one of the kids to be invited to parties or anything in highschool." She admitted.
"I don't usually do much" he said. "I get stuff ready for my job but I don't usually do much outside that"
"Well, I guess not everyone can be super socialites, huh?" She said with a small smile. It seemed to her that they both were rather low key people, but maybe she was wrong. She couldn't be sure.
"I guess not" he said. Marina wasn't the first person he met who weren't very social. "What is your thoughts on most of the people at college?"
Marina thought about his question for a moment. "I guess most of them seem alright. No one seems to be too terribly mean."
"Some of them are alright but for some reason I can't really connect with them in any way" he said. "I don't know, maybe I'm just different"
"There's nothing wrong with being different." Marina said with a small smile. "Besides, I like you. That counts for something, right?" She poked his side gently.
He nodded "I guess it does" Ethan wondered what he found intresting about Marina and what she found intresting to him. They met yesterday but somehow are friends already. Maybe its the fact that she's not like most people he usually meets, she's better than them.
"Of course it does." She said, feeling a little cheerful. Something about Ethan made her forget about her worries for a little while. Maybe it was because she felt like she could be honest with him. Her worries tended to frustrate her... she'd been considering trying to get her hands on something like weed to see if it would calm her nerves. But Ethan seemed to take those worries away without her having to take anything.
Ethan smiled."Can you wait here for a sec, I just have to get something" he said getting up and going into the house. He didn't know why but he had a sudden urge to go there. "Won't be long"
Marina watched him get up. "Uh. Okay." She was a little confused but she wasn't complaining.
He got into the house and went into the bathroom and took out another packet of cocaine. He needed it another dose of it and the fact that it wasn't long before his first dose wasn't very good.
After taking it he returned back a couple minutes later. "Sorry about that"
After taking it he returned back a couple minutes later. "Sorry about that"
Marina was confused, but she waited patiently. When he came back, she smiled slightly at him. "It's fine." She folded her hands in her lap, uncertain what to do or say.
He sat back down. "Do you go out often? Like to the city?" Ethan hasn't been out that much, he wondered if she had been.
Marina shook her head. "No. I don't really have an easy way to travel aside from walking." She shrugged a little.
"Oh okay, sometimes I go to the city by walking" he said. Ethan didn't go there for pleasure, he did it because of his job. "The city at night is a strange place to be"
"Ah. I've never been there at night. I think it would be scary." She tried to imagine it, but she couldn't The idea of the city at night was intimidating.
