There's a lot to offer -- I recommend building your character up and checking out some of the activity about. If you're looking for something specific, I would suggest you putting out an advert or reachin' out to some folks.

Your best place is character interaction though -- you'll run into some like-minded folks and hit it off assuredly. Then you lot can take off and world-build together!
