Hi everyone! I don't know if this is the right forum for this or not, so if it's not, please let me know so that I can get it in the correct one. I created this account a while back and was pretty active with roleplays until my mental health took a turn for the worst... My ADHD has been super bad and there are several other mental illnesses that I struggle with. I would like to hear what y'all do to help keep yourselves focused on your rp's and not forget about them? I feel so bad for forgetting about my old roleplays that I used to be so active with and really want to be able to come back to this hobby of mine.
Hello Lunar Rose,
I find brainstorming and setting small 'check point' goals help keep the stories ever evolving and on track. I don't mean plan out every step of the story but setting small goals to work towards.
For instance, our characters just met and we know we want to go to this concert together. Getting to the concert is the first reachable goal. All the posts that get you there is the adventure.
This is what works for me. Hope it's helpful for you.
Best of luck in writing,
Eros

I believe keeping things short and not set up too many or too high expectations might help.
