Rae Blizard (played by wolfkill11)

The forest seemed to be still, the full moon shinning down upon it. The creatures of the night were upon it and were looking for their meal. Among them was a werewolf, whose name was Rae. The moon light shinned down and bounced back on the pages of a book,

" I'm not like them... I fit no where... I change when I please, they don't. Why? What makes me so different? "

A pair of emerald eyes starred out of the shadows and in a swift movement disappeared. This was not a safe night for her, it was the hunters night. It seemed everyone full moon, a group of hunters would come into the woods and at least killed five werewolves. This had dropped the numbers of werewolves in these forest and many then chose to leave. Along them was not me, I stayed and have never given up fighting.

Rae walked towards a tree and slid a book into an opening of its base. This book contained every secret she could tell and how she became ' Rae '. The forest was slow and steady, like a river. This was the night where you would not want to meet a werewolf or a hunter.
The face of a boy stained the cover of the book, "We can take them Rae, with your strength and my spells we can take these hunters on!" the Book of Bathe had been in the hands of many casters, merchants and necromancers, but he had never had more respect for any of his handlers more so then he did for Rae. He was just over twenty when he was cursed into this wretched book form. He began to float out of the tree towards the wolf girl. "I wont share your secrets, you know that," Bathe was quiet, "but I also can't be tossed aside again... you must understand that Rae."

The bright of the golden-eyed fox beamed in the moonlight, as beat a careful tread through the forest's green growth. He kept to the bushes and the roots, a underfoot trail of subtle deception. He kept a good pace before the hunters that lingered in the forest. The wolven blood upon their killing implements made them easy to track and stay ahead of.

Such a loss for this pack of his Wolf cousins. Packs normally never ran greater than five or six, in his experience. A tribe elder would be howling a storm to replace them this night, he was sure. But, perhaps he could do something to bring a bit of balance back to the situation, a vindication for lives lost should the opportunity present itself.

After all, they were hunting wolf, not fox. So they'd never see it coming.

It was then he caught the smell of another Cousin Wolf in the dark. Female from the scent. Ten furrowed his furred brow in a expression very unfox-like, as he thought. He turned away from his narrow path, and started heading in her direction. Protecting further life from it's untimely end was more important than waiting for a moment to seek retribution.

Rae looked at the book and sighed. " It's not that easy Bathe. " Her small fingers wrapped around the book and she looked at it. It was true with the spells that he could do an the power she had that they were powerful, but against a group of hunters she didn't know. Hunters had been trained since they were 2 so they can kill with ease. " You are the only one Bathe who can know about me. " Her fingers ran across the edge of the book and than her expert hearing picked up something.

The rustling of leaves made her alert and she turned to look into the forest. The smell was different from a wolf and a human. She pulled the book against her body and jumped into a tree. " Sh " She whispered and looked around. If this were to be a hunter she would try and kill him. That was the thing, her hearing picked up rustling of leaves, but nothing to heavy. Then it wasn't a wolf cause only a few wolves still stayed here.
Bathe had never more so wanted to be human then when he was with Rae, stroking his spine, pushing him up against her, but it wasn't to be. Bathe knew it was more important to protect her, he knew she was the key the the Blood Moon prophesy. If the hunters found her they wouldn't kill her, not like these other werewolves. They would use her to destroy the moon. The sounds of leaves crunching interrupted his train of thought, "What is that Rae?"

The fox ran out of the bush, and then dropped into a dead stop. He raised his ears, and began to sniff around where she had been. He paced around the space, seeking with his black nose.

His nose let him gain a hazy picture of the area, as he started putting things together in his head. But he was interrupted by the approach of Hunters, the sharp tang of gunpowder alerting him to their presence. Ten dove for a bush, and wiggled his way into it's heart.

Rae watched the animal and quickly identified it, fox. Foxes were very uncommon in this forest and many of the humans believed that they were extinct around here. This fox, seemed to bring another guest. The ringing of the gun and the bullets made her hair stand up. The tree allowed very well protection, but not enough. " Hold on Bathe. " Rae held the book tightly and jumped down from the tree. The ringing of guns and bullets around her made her stand still for a few seconds. It was only then that she noticed a huge oak tree and ran towards it.

Rae was an expert when it came to climbing trees. They were like her secret calling in life. She began to pull herself up the trunk, holding Bathe somewhat out of the way. She didn't want her book to be damaged. She looked at the bush with the animal, the sympathy started to hit her. The Hunters weren't near her yet, so she could always go back down. Her hands let go of the tree and she crept towards the bush. In an instance she changed into the creature of the night. Her white coat and emerald eyes would chill anyone who looked. It was magnificent. She hoped that Bathe would float behind her or some thing, she couldn't carry him in this form. The bush the fox had disappeared in was big enough for a wolf of her size. She crawled into it and saw the fox. She let a low growl out to alert him she was there.
Hovering five or six feet above the ground Bathe watched Rae enter the brush. He didn't like this at all, gun shots getting closer and him defenseless. The way his curse worked was that alone the Book of Bathe was nothing more then a book with a talking face that could levitate, he couldn't cast any spells without being held by a mortal. Foot steps in the distance brought a beat of sweat down the cover of the book, "Rae!" He whispered, "We're not going to be able to get away if we just wait here!" If Rae was to so much as hold the book open in her hands Bathe would be given the power to cast any spell within his pages.

A bullet flew past the spine of the book, and out of the shadows he a pair of hunters appeared, Bathe dropped to the grassy floor. One walked over, puzzled, he picked up Bathe to examine him. "Open me, open me, open me." Bathe thought to himself. The hunter opened the book and that was all Bathe needed! The book exploded into a swarm of crows, pecking and clawing the men with their sharp talons! The guns dropped from their hands and the men were forced to flee. The birds collided in the air with a burst of black feathers to form the Book once more, "Rae we need to leave..."

Ten heard the growl. And turned abruptly in the bush, where he had been hurriedly burrowing a small pit into the roots of the bush. The soft, sparkling gold of his eyes staring at her. It was unafraid, passive, and non-threatened by the Wolf who had managed to find her way behind him. In fact, were in not for the unknowable muzzle of the creature, he could've been considered to be beaming at her with a wide, mischievous smile.

He immediately returned to his hole digging, muddening his paws with thick loam and soil as he cast it aside. He was making a large hole, big enough for him to sit in, and making it quickly. But it wasn't very deep. Was he trying to den himself, prehaps? But no, the intelligent light behind those golden eyes had a bigger plan. He dug at that shallow pit, stopping only to look up and see what wizardry the magical book had performed. It reminded him of a acquaintance from a city far from here. But that was a thought for a nothing time.

When the hole was ready, he turned back on himself, picking at his tail with his teeth. And from the bushy fur, he removed a single crisp white strip of paper. It was written on with thick-stroke, earthen ink calligraphy. He threw it into the pit and promptly sat a heavy paw against it. There was a small sound, like a sharp crack of a pine fire as it crackled merrily, and a bit of smoke emerged from beneath the Fox's paw.

And then came the water, as the shallow pit filled with it. From nowhere, it bubbled from the soil the fox sat in, clear and clean as spring water. And as it bubbled up, the fox turned his eyes to the moon above. He closed them slowly, as golden light poored from under his eyelids. The puddle in the bush began to glow with a wane silver light, like moonlight distilled...

And suddenly, the fox sank into the water like the barely five-inch deep hole was bottomless. He left nothing behind but a glowing pool.
A hand from the night grabbed the Book of Bathe and held him tightly closed. The figure muttered something about not being able to cast anything closed and he was right. "Rae! Run!" Bathe yelled. He was captured, he'd most likely be sold or worse. Fire was not a favorite thing of Bathe's, the the man had a torch in his other hand. Bathe hoped his secrets were more valuable to the hunter then just a misguided sense of revenge. "Go Rae! Make for the hills"
Castiel (played by Ambrosia)

"Hello there little book" His eerie voice would make others tremble in fear "Lets see what mischief we can cause together"he said "But you're useless to the wolf when you're closed" he muttered holding onto the book with a grip as strong as a tightened vice.

"Now, Where is that damned wolf" He Yelled in anger, a vain on his forehead popping out as he scanned the forest "When i catch these stupid wolves, I'M GOING TO SKIN THEM ALIVE!"
Angalo (played by Ambrosia)

Angel dodged and weaved passed the trees, huffing as he ran from the hunters. His grey fur was dark enough to keep him hidden but Castiel knew exactly how to hunt, he was a monster. The wolves colorless eyes watched carefully as e stopped dead in his tracks. The floating headphones above his wolven head weren't playing anything.

His ears perked up, looking for the source of the sound, the cent was faint but it smelt like a fox and another wolf "Shit!" a hunter yelled, an arrow sped by Angel but his elemental wind form allowed him to move as fast and elegantly as the wind. Now he just made towards the scent.

((Sorry this was a terrible intro, I'm kinda tired xD))
"I'm no used to anyone closed," Bathe said, trying to get this one to open him up. But the Book of Bathe knew he wouldn't, he was too smart for that. Was he the head hunter? Bathe was caught, open me, open me, open me he thought, closing his eyes he thought about Rae, she was a great girl and he did have feelings for her but among Bathe's good qualities loyalty was not one of them. He would do anything to stay alive to be human again. "Open me up and I can help you find the wolfs," but if Castiel opens him, Bathe has a nice Swarm of Hornets waiting for him in the pages of his spells.

Rae looked behind her back and out of the bushes. Her expert hearing and expert smell caugh the humans scent. In her wolf form, she could kill easily. Werewolves bites were known to be very deathly since it sent a deadly infection through your body. Rae growled and crept out of the bushes and saw Bathe. How dare he side with those people. She flicked her tail, not camouflaging well in the dark of the night.
Castiel (played by Ambrosia)

Castiel sniffed the air, the scent of wolves was strong "wolfies!?" He asked projecting his voice as loud as he could, a beastly roar accompanying the yell. "Okay little book" he turned the book to face him directly making sure also that the book doesn't fly open.

He raised his hand in front of the book "what is the worst thing that can happen to a special book, hmm?" He asked fanning his hand left and right in front of the book of Bathe. Slowly, the nail of his index finger turned into a claw. He pushed the point against Bathe's face and tapped a few times, the claw sunk a tiny bit each time.

"Fire is the worst thing for you right? But where's the fun in that? I can scratch and tear you apart slowly and painfully?"
"Stop, stop!" Bathe yelled, his face was the only part of the book that felt pain, he could feel the hunters grip, but it was more of a numb presence. But this, this hurt. A small dark liquid dripped from his cheek, blood maybe? Or could it be ink? "The white wolf," Bathe finally gave in, "She's over in the bushes!"

Bathe was smart, friendly, and very powerful magically but fear and the fact that this man was holding him tightly shut was clouding all of that. He just hoped the man would kill Rae, otherwise if he captured her and took her to the Lunar Temple he could preform the ritual and wipe out all werewolves as a species just by consuming her heart. Yeah, a bullet to her cute little wolf head would be a lot less painful.

The fox had not gone far. Though the gap in the Gauntlet to the Mirror Lands was closed as the dirt muddied the pristine pool and obscured the moonlight, he still waited nearby. The Mirror Lands was as it always was for him, eerie and comforting at the same time. The forest still looked as it did on the other side of the veil, but here in this spiritual land, everything physical was strangely muted and ephemeral, though it was still as solid as it was on the other side. Everything was covered in a thick, bleak white fog that obscured vision to most. The fox had transformed, turning from mere red furred beast, to a erect and well dressed human. He moved about the clearing, listening to their words, as they came to him in echoing whispers from the other side of the Gauntlet. "Well, well, this is becoming very difficult to resist meddling in. I certainly didn't come here looking for trouble."

As the book gave up the position of the wolf, he gave a very inhuman snarl. Well, trouble had found him, as usual. And now, the burdening grasp of misfortune was about to come to the poor hunter. Ten just needed to make a quick plan, for though he was a skilled Fighter, with a boon of abilities and magical arts that made him very deadly, that was not the Kitsune way. He pulled another paper talisman from his pocket, and readied himself to bring the thunder to the mortal world.

Rae growled and transformed into the young human she was. She slid on some clothing, which hugged her body. She walked from the bushes and crossed her arms. How dare that stupid book treat her like this. Now that the human had Bathe, she knew he would spill any secrets of the curse. To be honest, Rae was alright with it. Fear ran down her spine, Rae was afraid of men, well to many men. Her past experiences with her father left her scared.

Rae pushed her strawberry blonde out of her face and let a almost wolf like growl come out. " Drop the book before anyone gets hurt. " Her voice was stern, but it did have a scared tone to it. Bathe may have been giving her out, but if he were to die Rae wanted to be a small part of it. Her emeral eyes looked at the other man, the one who had walked into the seen. Rae didn't know there was another man here and she know let another growl out. In the moon light her human form was stunning. Any man would want her, she was disearble.
Bathe looked, and saw Rae was in her human form, thinking quickly he called to her, "Belle! Please Mr. Hunter I'll lead you to the white wolf just don't harm my sister Belle!" He had no other option but to lie, despite his selfish will to do anything it took to stay alive he had do his best to protect Rae. He hoped she would play along, stay out of her wolf form, and escape eventually with him in hand. Bathe waited to see what the hunter would say as the inkish blood dripped from his cover. He also knew Rae would not be happy with his first betrayal, and questioned for a moment which would be safer, the hands of this hunter or the beautiful yet deadly wolf girl's claws?
Castiel (played by Ambrosia)

Castiel sniffed the air "Oh?" he said turning his head towards Rae "Sister you say? you know i had a sister too... till i shredded her insides and fed it to the family dog" He laughed menacingly and psychotically. "maybe i should leave her... or maybe i shouldn't" he stood up straight "But she seems familiar" he kept hold of the book tightly but pressed the spine to his forehead as he pretended to think, pacing left and right.

"Belle right? tell you what, i'll give you a running chance. But when i look for you... i want you to know... My queen maybe strong but the king, me... is unstoppable... The Rook will find you and the Knight will attack from where you least expect it" he smiled at her devilishly "So you see my dear, be the hero and come and fight me, Be the wise and run from me... Be the Strategist and look for Checkmate" he said shrugging "Either way... odds don't look good for ya."

"As for the other presence i feel, how about we come out and play... Brother..." he looked in the direction of the fox whether he was there physically or not. A psychotic look in his eye "From one trickster... to another"
