Hey hey!
This is Error of the Astral System (T.A.S.) right now (at the time of posting this)!
Feel free to ask ANY of us questions.

We have:
- Error, the primary host & original personality.
- Star, the little alter.
- Solar, the SAMS fictive & system helper.
- Phil, the QSMP!Philza fictive that mostly helps take care of Star.
- Nightmare, an UTMV (Undertale Multiverse) fictive who is the secondary host.
- Killer, another UTMV fictive.
- Dust, the third UTMV fictive.
- Cross, the fourth UTMV fictive who is our resident fluffy-hooded tsundere.
- Classic, the fifth UTMV fictive who helps get Star to take naps/sleep at night.
- Reaper, the sixth UTMV fictive.
- Dream, the seventh UTMV fictive who is a constant source of positivity & care/comfort in the system.
- Ruru/Error, the eighth UTMV fictive, who is (host) Error's kinnie.
- Geno, the ninth UTMV fictive.
1: What is a fictive?
2: Can you explain what a system is?

Basically, a system is just different personalities stemming from the host! The different personalities, known as 'alters' (basically short for 'alternate/s'), can be either a part of the host, say a representation of what they were like in the past, or they can be what is known as a 'fictive', which is basically an alter based on a fictional character. There is me (Error), and I am the host. There's also Star, who basically represents me when I was ages 4-6, which I've realized is when I was the happiest and didn't have that many problems. Then we have 11 fictives -w-"

Star is what is known as a 'little' alter. Oh! And there are alters that have specific roles. For example, protector, helper, little, host, and fictive are all roles! Oh, and I forgor to mention, sometimes the host isn't the original personality. They can be a different alter than who the body was! Some systems also have a 'mindscape', where the alters dwell when they aren't 'fronting'. Fronting is just when an alter is out and controlling the body! The mindscape for me used to be a blank, black void, and the others weren't really active unless I was speaking to them or something came up that involved them. Now, it's a beautiful house with rooms for each of us!

To answer your question though, a fictive is an alter based on a fictional character. For example, take one of your favorite show's characters. They can be a fictive!
Is this something different than D.I.D( dissociative identity disorder) And if it is, how so?
What's it like switching between alters if you don't mind me asking of course

Not quite sure! All we really know is what happens. We just say it's something really similar, since we're not sure if it's DID.

So, it's kinda hard to explain. Basically, I've noticed that my vision will flicker between focused and unfocused, and my eyes will close. And then I'm in the Mindscape and the alter I switched with is fronting.
