Oooooh so inspiring and fascinating! I love how you two are working so well together! I've wanted to do something like this for ages but between insecurities, anxieties, and other issues have...come up empty so I has a few questions.
1. How did you two manage to find such amazing writing partners?
2. Best way to present existing lore to find potential world builders and writing buddies?
3. How did you guys stays motivated for building lore and writing before you found one another?
4. Any advice for others who have wanted to do what you two are doing?

Thank you so much for your questions!!
1) If you mean how did we find each other, it was actually just as simple as an ad. I dropped an ad, and Eros answered it, and it’s been magic ever since then. We got along so well, and our brains are very similar, so it works so well and so easily.
2) Don’t rush in explanations. Take your time, be clear and concise, and make the rules very clear. Make sure you know your world in and out. Also don’t be afraid to set exceptions within yourself and your world, and even your partner.
3) For me, this all depends on the situation. For some people, it can be the other person. For me, personally, I like the image of it. That’s why I like real-life face claims. It’s easy for me to imagine the characters together, the situations together. I also like talking about it, seeing what else can be said or thought of or brought up. In my case, Eros and I always discuss our stories which is a great way to keep motivation. But it’s also just a pure want. Do you want to keep the motivation going, do you have the drive to do it? That’s a personal question, of course, but an important one nonetheless.
4) I’m not going to lie and say it’s an easy process. It’s actually quite a difficult one, with blending it all together, making sure it all flows. The most important advice I can give is you need to trust and communicate with your partner. Pick a partner that can understand your brain, and that you can trust with your side of the posts. You will very much need to work together, especially in parts of dialogue, when blending them together.
Hope this helps, but happy to explain more if it doesn’t! (I’m a bit sick today, so my brain isn’t totally firing today😂😂😂)

Awesome questions, LunarValravn.
1. I lucked out, quite honestly. I was in the forum ads looking for something that sparked my interest. And up pops an ad about wanting to write a fictional story surrounding a popular historical event. ~Something to know about me is that Anne Rice has been my inspiration since I was 11 years old. And she always picked a time and place in history and used her fictional characters to weave throughout real history. ~ So, when the opportunity presented itself to me, I pounced. So, to answer your question, be honest about what you are looking for in a story and in a partner. There will be someone out there that will fit the mold. You might just have to "kiss a lot of frogs" along the way.
2. We built most of our lore together, but we both did have specific rules that we would not budge on with our characters. My suggestion is, if you have lore you want as law in your roleplay, make it apart of the character from the beginning. Example: This is one of my characters that has specific lore that pertains to the world he lives in. This is law in his world. If you are clear and transparent with who your character is, how they operate, and the rules of how they are used, it will intrigue people and they will gravitate towards your idea.
3. Before Caffeine...I kissed a lot of frogs. I had some partners where the stories were fun, but that is all they would ever be. Then I had stories that were phenomenal and could have gone the book route, too. But my partner was never interested in converting the posts to text. For motivation, find stories you like, find partners that are fun, and just keep yourself writing. Lightening will strike. But you have to be available when the storm rolls in.
4. Find someone who is willing to talk extensively about the story. I like to compare Caffeine and I to a left brain, right brain. She is very good at coming up with ideas and I am good at digging down into the gritty details and flushing it out. Through, sometimes, hours of conversation we try and look at all aspects of the idea, find potential loopholes, discuss how by adopting these new ideas/characters/rules will alter or change the path of the current story or how future ideas might be altered. Be flexible! Have fun! Be creative! Challenge each other and push boundaries to look outside of the box!
Thank you for your questions! I hope I answered your questions. If you have more, you are always welcome to reach out to us.
