My name is Josh. I know it's online and I could be whomever I wanted to pretend to be, but I'm Josh. I've been writing casually for years. I'm trying to write some science fiction and fantasy stories, as well as develop a Roleplaying system for the world of one of those stories.
I am an autistic male. I can come off as awkward and im prone to getting frustrated, but I'm trying to work on that and be more tolerant. I'm bisexual, but lean towards men both in RL and in RP's.
If you can indulge my particular flavor of strange, then maybe I can get you thinking about things a little differently.
Because different is good.
I like stories. I really like stories. Stories are in a way, a form of magic. Really. Roleplaying is the co-development of stories, communal magic in a sense. Two or minds engaged in the act of creative congress to produce something that otherwise wouldn't have existed. Something with meaning and value, whether that value is derived purely from entertainment, or the emotional catharsis of putting a bit of your soul into something just to see where it goes. That process to me is magic. I like magic. I think magic is cool. And I wish more people did too.
I don't mean "LVL THREE FIREBALL GOOOOOO!" magic. Yes that is a kind of magic. But that's made up magic. That magic is the product of real magic.
Magic is something I think a lot of writers have lost. Or maybe we just don't understand it anymore. Maybe we never did. But I like to think we did. Magic is the ability to make something out of nothing. To transform electrical impulses being transmitted through a meat circuit encased in calcium, some proteins, but mostly water, into concepts, characters, and ideas that couldn't exist otherwise. Magic is the ability to let another person experience something beyond their wildest dreams, and know you've changed them in some small way. To share a lesson taught by a master who doesn't exist......to decide what we can do with the time we are given....and choose to use it to make a dream real by sharing it with someone else.
Ramble ramble. I know. In the words of Monty Python. "GET ON WITH IT!"
I have a bad tendency of getting sucked into smut. It's a guilty pleasure. But I also really genuinely enjoy well written stories, and I'm kind of a nerd about writing on a weird level. I like digging into narratives. I can talk for hours about how writing changes us, how stories can define us, and how characters we love tell more about us than we often know ourselves. I like dissecting stories to see what works, why it works, and why it connects with people. Why certain stories stick with us for over a century, while others are forgotten a week after being published. Why some stories that deserve attention don't get any, and the reverse.
Not that I am the arbiter of what does and does not deserve attention.
But you know what I mean. At least I hope so.
Some of my characters and ideas may come off as smutty, and they might be to some people. But this is very important. I don't care how good your smut writing is.
If you can't write compelling characters, I will lose interest very fast.
If you can't engage with a narrative in a creative way, I will lose interest very fast.
If you can't be a part of the creation process and are only there to be dragged on a cognitive tour of someone else's idea, I will lose interest very fast.
I try to write when I can. But I've learned i get overwhelmed as easily as I become invested. Sometimes I will want to post several times a day, and sometimes I may do just that, but more often than not, I get burned out. So I have to force myself to slow down. RL is Real AF. And sometimes I gotta wait and let the batteries recharge so I'm putting my best foot forth.
So this has gone on quite some time. Probably time to get to the point huh?

*A nice place to chill and talk writing shop
*To find like minded folks of all kinds, to create a little magic.
*To share ideas, maybe find people to test a RP system once I've refined it.
*To help people realize their own ideas with the badass AI generator I have on my PC. I am a stable diffusion user. I'm getting pretty good at it too. And I'm always open if you have a request for a character. I am NOT advertising NSFW stuff here. I'm trying to practice training the system to create artwork for my RP system, concept art for my characters, and hopefully concept art for other people here. I will not do requests for canon characters or copywritten material. I'm not interested in that. It's gratuitous and honestly if you can't find fan art of any given Canon Character on the internet then you have bigger problems to worry about. Original characters only.
*Share original artwork with other artists and writers. I may use AI but I also draw my own concept art. It's not awesome. But I like to think I'm decent.

I'm into boss b@#$hes that can dominate a room.
I'm into flamboyant villains you never forget.
I'm into suffering and struggle.
I'm into the blackest night.
I'm into the much awaited dawn.
I'm into Lovecraftian Horrors and Living Concepts.
I'm into SCP and Backrooms.
I'm into the kind of horror that makes you go home and rethink your life.
I'm into the thing hiding under your bed while you sleep.
I'm into that moment right before the light leaves your eyes.
I'm into the moment you pull me back from the dark.
I'm into the power of friendship.
I'm into betraying your trust.
I'm into finding redemption.
I'm into Stories.
Like.....really into stories.
So please. If you are even still reading. By all means drop me a line. Maybe we will RP. Maybe we won't. Maybe we will chat. Maybe I'll disappoint you.

Hello and welcome to RP Repository, first and foremost! Secondly, it's quite a pleasure to have someone who is so versed in the ways of writing -- you're authentic, eloquent, succinct in what you're looking for and how you go about it. I also suffer burn out myself. It's a tendency that stems from my hyperfixations where I wrap myself entirely up in my interests to the point of wearing myself thin. Seeing as how you thoroughly enjoy your magic though, I highly recommend you go nuts on your profiles when you create your characters! I would love to see what you come up with, and the building profile process is insanely diverse! You can be as vague or as verbose as you please. I tend to be over-informative, if you haven't noticed, heh heh...
And between you and me (and everyone else reading) I absolutely adore a sassy villain. One of my favorites, hands down! If you have any questions or what have you, reach out to the community or myself! We'd love to help clear the way so you can immediately get to your writing. Also, I recommend participating in the Forum Games forum where you'll find a lot of active writers and character interaction.
