Vlad wandered throughout the city. His past to him was just like the wind. It came, and it left temporarily. Looking around not paying to his surroundings, he bumped into a girl soon enough. He looked up at her with golden colored eyes through black bangs.

Luisa was startled to bump into someone, and she looked at him, her blue-green eyes focusing on his face for a moment. He was familiar... But how?

"Sorry." She said coolly, moving to step around him.

Her thoughts were scattered now, interrupted by running into the familiar looking boy. She paused, not wanting to leave her question hanging. "Do I... know you?" The question slipped from her lips as the rather short girl looked at the boy again.

Vlad stepped back once he bumped into her, but didn't say any excuse me or I'm sorry, or anything really. "Do you?" He asked looking at her with a golden gaze.

After a moment of staring, and silence. She responded. "I guess not... you just look like someone I used to know, I guess." That said, she turned to leave, no longer interested in lingering near the park. Her brown and white hair flying in the wind as she went, she started jogging back to her current house.

The man shrugged, guess not. Guess they never met. He continued on his way back home, to the orphanage. He went home, and went upstairs to his room. He preferred to be alone.

Luisa returned to the orphanage a bit later, wandering the town for a while longer. She headed up the stairs, retreating to her room. Quietly, she settled herself down, fishing in her pocket for the arcade token that she'd put in her pocket the day she'd been treasure hunting with her childhood friend.

For a moment, she turned it around in her fingers, then she let it fall onto the floor and watched it roll and then lay still near the door. "It really is quite the treasure." She laughed at her childhood self.

Vlad sat on his bed, bored out of his ****ing mind. He looked across the room at the old box he and his friend had found as a child. He rolled his eyes and flopped onto his back. He'd probably never see his old friend again anyway. He starred at the ceiling a moment, before slowly his eyes made there way back to the box.

Luisa sighed softly to herself, and picked up a book. She'd read the book many times before, but she decided it was worth reading again to pass time. Her eyes trailed back to the token. After a chapter of reading, she got up and picked up the token and set it down on her desk. "Can't leave a mess." She muttered, excusing her action to herself, before resuming reading.

Vlad rolled over onto his stomach, still starring at the box. Almost mesmerized by it. He got up and walked over to it, taking it back to his bed. He sat with his legs crossed on the bed, and dumped the contents onto his bed. He noticed a purple pixie stick. He remembered buying those with his friend- and he would never east that pixie stick..

Eventually, she felt restless and she picked up the token, set the book aside and left her room. Silently, she wandered the hallways, turning the token over and over in her hand. As she walked, her mind wandered.

Where was her friend now?

What if he'd died?

What if he'd forgotten her?

The questions made her head and heart ache. So, she ignored them. She was likely to never meet him again anyway, so why did it matter?

Vlad looked over the old, accident treasure. He had heard quiet rumors that a girl had been introduced to the orphanage, but he hadn't seen her yet for all he knew. Maybe she was shy, or maybe he was forgotten, who knew.

Luisa wandered for a while longer.

One of the other girls noticed her. "Hey, Luisa. What are you up to?"

"Just looking around." She responded calmly. Her gaze wandered the hallway.

"Have you met Vlad, yet?" The girl asked suddenly.

"Who?"

"It doesn't matter... anyway... stay away from him. He's weird." With that, the girl returned to what she was doing.

Confused, Luisa continued her wandering in the orphanage.

He had heard what people try to say behind his back, but never really cared. Say what they wish, believe what they see. He messed with a token, before he quietly sneezed. Guess the box may have gathered a little dust.

The sound of a sneeze caught Luisa's attention and made her jump a little. Her token slipped from her fingers and rolled along the hall. With an irritable sigh, she went after it, watching it roll to the doorway of one of the rooms... the one from which the sneeze originated.

Vlad sniffed. He went back to looking over the treasure, unaware of the person just outside his door.

Luisa picked up the token and looked into the room. The box looked familiar... and that was the boy from earlier. "Oh... you live here, too." She said, holding the token in her fingers, partway visible. "Where'd you get that box?"

Vlad looked towards his doorway, seeing the girl from earlier. He looked down at the box, "me and a friend found it as children.." he said, messing with a token in between his fingers.

"Ah. Really?" Luisa managed a polite smile. "It kind of reminds me of what I found with my friend as a kid... funny how things are like that sometimes." She held up the token so he could see it. "This was the only thing I kept from it... before I had to leave and never see him again..."

Vlad nodded slightly. He looked up at the token she held in her hand before looking at the one in between his fingers. They were identical. "What's your name?" He asked.

Luisa looked at the token in her hand for a moment, thinking hard. She looked at him for a moment before responding. "Luisa. And yours?" He did look similar to the boy... just a little bit.
