Aurae looked at Piiro." Tatsuya? My father told me legends of his strength. He is the only one of the few dragons left before the great wars took place." She smiled slightly." Other than me." She whispered more softly.
She looked back at Piiro." I know of a temple near the village I grew up in. My father said that all of Tatsuya's legends are carved into the walls. The way you speak, my dear friend, sounds like that boy is here." Her eyes turned a soft gold as she studied the Wabbaloq.

The Book of Bathe had traveled a long way, he had been in the hands of merchants and mad men, mages and murderers, even in the company of a werewolf at one point but when Piiro found him he knew he was in the hands of a kind heart. He was on a quest to the Sapphire City to see if the Blue Pristess. She was the only one who may know how to make him human again. And if not, at least in her hands he would be safe from the fires that had begun to consume the world around him in corruption.
The book shifted in Piiro's pack and floated out, "Hello, I am Bathe," The face on the cover said. Since becoming a book, Bathe hated dragons more then anything, their fire, their roar, their abilities, but if Piiro trusted this one he had no choice in the matter. "Nice to meet you two."

"Well, Would you look at that. That's not something I'd expect to see every day…" He ran his hand through his hair and leaned back. "But, Let's all be honest… We have a dragon, a mimic, A Wabbaloq… So why don't we add a talking book to the mix. It surely fits with our group it seems." He let out a slight laugh before looking to the Book of Bathe "Greetings, The names Quade Alveron of the Abyssal Mimics, The pleasure is mine good sir."
Piiro started to laugh, "See Bathe!" Piiro said warming his hands by the fire that lit their little disorderly camp, "We can trust these guys, this one even tells jokes!" He took out a small map studying it with his eyes, "So the dragon lady breathes fire, the book talks, and I blow stuff up," Piiro stated looking up slightly at Quade, "What is it you do Mr. Quade?"
"Well, if you must insist on knowing the faults of my skills. I'm not a normal mimic I cannot choose who I am to copy. Allow me to demonstrate shall I?" Quade looked at Piiro and then at Aurae deciding who would be best.
He figured Aurae would probably be the better of the two to show his skills. He moved over to her, "Excuse me for one moment." he reached over and touched her hand in order to demonstrate.
Shortly after the contact Quade's physical body began to twist and change. His hand became that of hers, and soon the rest of his body followed until he was that of an exact clone of Aurae. The surprising part was that even her clothes had changed along with his body.
Quade had finally finished his transformation and the end result was a direct contact of her. "This is the only ability that I have, that which doesn't have consequences anyway. The clothing is able to change because of my mimic DNA being inside it. But, here allow me to demonstrate a little more." he grabbed a small leaf and blew out a small ember much less then she did previously. The small ember burned the leaf very slowly but it was much weaker than her own.
"This event occurs any time I come in contact with someone. Whether I am to want this to happen or not, it's all determined by just physical contact."

"That was awesome!" Piiro exclaimed, he clapped his little fuzzy hands together, "So how long does it last?" Piiro yawned, it was far into the night by now. He had been at war with his eye lids for the last hour so he closed his eyes to receive Mr. Quade's response. But of course that meant he lost war against sleep and began to whistle slightly as he drifted into a dream like state.
Aurea watched Quade in amazement. Her eyes turned into bright green ones full of curiosity. She studied Quade." Your ability is truly incredible, Quade."
She looked over at Piiro and smiled." You guys should rest. I'll take the watch tonight." She waved her hand and dimmed the fire a bit." I have not traveled as far as you two may have so I can stay up throughout the night."

Aurae was beautiful, his hate for her kind was trying to over come his attraction to her. He had been alone for centuries and last time he fell in love, she grew power hungry and only used him like most did. "I can stay up with you if you'd like?" His comment sounded too kind, "I mean cause..." He couldn't think of anything salty to say, "It might get lonely for you."
If Bathe ever got to become human again he would kiss a girl like Aurae, kind, beautiful, and powerful. But for now he was still a book, just text and paper. Maybe the four of them could make it to the Sapphire City, because maybe, just maybe these three were different from all the rest.

(Sorry for the absence)
Aurae blinked but smiled at Bathe." Thank you, my friend." She stood up." I could use the company and an extra set of eyes to keep watch." She bowed her head politely, her white hair falling over her shoulder. She straightened and took the ribbon from her hair. The white locks framed her as she freed them from their braided position. She pushed her hair behind her long ears.
"I am just going to walk around the perimeter and come back." She waited for Bathe, her eyes becoming the softest of blue.

Bathe floated to her side, "I heard you talk of depressing tales?" the cursed book's curiosity had peaked, "I thought all stories from dragons were about conquest and glory over humans, and mystics alike." He followed her to the edge of the perimeter as they talked. "And why are you no longer in the land of dragons? I thought white dragons and dragon breathers alike lived with the true dov of scales and sky?"
She blinked and looked away." I was raised in a village of elves. I was a foundling the elder of the village took me in. Shortly after he was killed by raiders, I met another dragon." She smiled sllightly." His name was Tatsuya but I do not believe he was the same who had cursed you. He was the same age as me and he was a gold dragon. We grew up together until the Great Wars began."
She sighed." We were the only ones that had been born before the wars. I was considered one of the most fearsome Battleborns to ever roam. I fought by his side for years and...we had gotten closer." Her eyes turned a depressed grey." Upon the last day of the war.... Tatsuya ordered several dragon villages to be destroyed. "
"He killed so many woman and children I thought he had gone insane. When I confronted him... He told me he was forcing the other side into peace for the lack of mates they possessed." She stopped walking." I didn't believe him so I swore into my life that I would make him pay, even if I was killed in the process. That was nearly 6,000 years ago and I still have not killed him."
She smiled at Bathe." It's been so long since I have been in the company of another dragon. I'm so old I forgot how old." She tried to joke.

"What is with people named Tatsuya." Bathe chuckled a little awkwardly, "Our Tatsuya was giant, bigger then any other dragon I've ever seen since, and he was grey with patches of frozen blue that ripped across his body." Bathe shuttered for a moment, his pages caught a bit of wind and the sound of paper hitting paper was heard in the night. "He wasn't a bad god, he was just always telling people how he and the others protected the Ember Isle and that they could just let witches and werewolves move in and devour us if we wanted," A tear of watered down ink fell from the book's cover, "So my father told him he should just leave and had a few men try to confront the beast of a god with their swords." Silence was a running trend at this point. "And they were frozen by his powerful blue flame until their bodies shattered. So I tried to get revenge and look what happened."
It had been almost a hundred and fifty years since that had happened all his friends from the Ember Isle must be dead after living happy lives with beautiful women and loving children and he was alone, being used over and over again. "You know i was once told that weak people seek revenge, strong people just forgive, but intelligent people chose to ignore." He said, smiling at her.

Concealed by the surrounding vegetation Damien listened to their talk of dragons, as a Dämonfeuer he was considered by some a dragon himself and others an abomination so he would have to be cautious and stay in his human form. Slowly walking into the open he made his presence known by telling the group "Excuse me, my name is Damien and ive been traveling for quite a while on my own. I was wondering if I could possibly join your party for a little while?"
Aurae stopped the instance she heard footsteps. She studied the being with green eyes." Tis not my decision. It is up to the others whether you join our party or to leave." She smiled slightly." Though it is a pleasure to meet you, Damien." She took a swift bow before straightening and looking at the Book of Bathe.
Bathe looked at the man and could tell right away, another damn dragon he thought to himself. He would be burned alive before he reached the Sapphire City at this rate. "Where does your destiny guide you to traveler?" The book's cover asked. Many stories of the books power had been told in the last century or two, he expected to run into assassins and bounty hunters on this pilgrimage. Bathe knew Piiro knew this, he would say the more the merrier, but Bathe had grown skeptical of people, monsters and men alike.
Stunned by the fact a book was speaking to him he froze, and replied "Well, I can't really answer that. My destiny has been foretold in the past only to be proved wrong by my travels... I'm sorry but what kind of book are you? Sorry if I seem rude I don't talk to very many books."
"I am just a traveler searching for his destiny like you." The book said, having no heart to have his story retold for the third time that day. "What is it you seek in our company?" Bathe floated toward Aurae's hand hoping she would hold him. If this man attacked all she would have to do is open him up and it would give him the power to cast a spell. Just in case that is, without a mortal conduit he could not use his magic. But that conduit would have to hold him open and all the spell casting was his to control. "And how do we know we can trust you?"
A smirk came across Damien's face. not knowing what kind of magic could be within the book he didn't want to risk finding out, at least not at his expense. He answers the book in a calm and collected manner saying "Trust is but an opinion, ill let you know now that if I wanted to fight I wouldn't be standing here conversing." Damien now realizes that the book was floating towards the dragon he extends his arm pointing at the two "If you plan on throwing that book at me, I would advise against it. I'm not in the mood for playing catch and honestly I now question whether or not I can trust you."
Aurae smiled, her canine getting longer." I have not attacked you yet. Nor would I throw my friend here at you." She closed her eyes as she began to relax, letting her canine retract." I do not harm unless I am harms yet I will not kill even if I am close to death myself." She opened her eyes, now a soft maroon." Is that trust enough or must I give you a blood oath?"
Giving a quiet chuckle to himself he walk forward and extends his arm for a handshake. "Well in that case, my name is Damien Cain. No need for blood shed today... Or uh torn pages either I guess. mind if I ask why your teeth are doing that? Not to be rude or anything... its just making me feel uncomfortable." and it really was Damien didn't mean for his answer to put anyone on edge or feel threatened. Knowing good and well why people call him Myzery he decided it would be best to give straight forward answers.
