Just hanging out and chatting while I tweak my characters' profiles 🍵

I've been diving back into some stuff I've put on hold for a while, and honestly, it's been so refreshing. It feels good to let that little writer in me wake up again. I’ve been exploring everything from eldritch horrors to nostalgic himbos, and I'm so excited to brainstorm some characters to start writin' with ! I'm also coming back to writing again. I'm so rusty.

The current vibe of an OC that's been bubbling up in my brain is Odysseus-inspired (yes, I'm obsessed with the EPIC musical), knight/ancient warrior themed, but in a world where there are random modern conventions like blackberry cellphones and pizza but also ancient cultures, traditions, and lifestyles. I know I want armor and swords to be a heavy motif, along with falconry. I fall in love with every game, story, and fictional world with magic systems that are so obviously crafted just for that world. I know I want to write a magic man ! 🎩🪄✨️

What worlds, OCS or random ideas are whirling around in y'all's minds?

I've until now mostly invented more animal characters, from horse, over donkey and gazelle or cow. They were all different, more or less friendly. Until I settled more with Lizbeth, and worked her out like I wanted her to be. Now I'm confident with her play and I can open up for other ways of RP, like here on RPR.
Of course a lot of ideas trot in your head, some more evident, others totally volatile and disappear as fast as they appear.
One thing turns in my head since longer, I'm mesmerized by dragons. They have that magical mystical attraction, being free and yet imprisoned trough the rejection of other. Maybe one day I'll materialize this OC.

Oh, I don't mind if anyone thinks "this doe is completely insane", I am... A natural insanity that allows to step over your shade and make imagination come true

I myself am looking for inspiration for monster characters.
I have to admit that it's a bit tough for me, since I lack inspiration, and I want something that would fit my worldbuilding and writing preferences. All I can come up with are some "generic" concepts, which I don't mind, but I just can't find a way to make them personal, so I can care about them and their possible RP plots. :<
This sounds really cool! I actually admit that I love how Lizbeth is written. It's somehow relaxing to just read her profile and IC posts, feels like ASMR, but written.


And thanks for the shoulder relaxation mention patroclus, it really helped me since I often don't notice that my muscles got tense again and it makes me tired more quickly

I adore Lizbeth's vibe and really appreciate seeing another creative dive into their character(s) and embrace playing/writing them how they want. I used to exclusively write animal/animal inspired characters growing up, and I can also relate to growing into your character(s) and becoming confident with them. I used to have a pretty tragic self insert oc who's now evolved into a much more fleshed out person as I have too.

The writer experience so interesting to me.

If you're lookin' for another opinion--Whenever I've had a hankering for monster characters, I end up looking at others' designs and plot/story ideas. Like looking at character turnarounds and, personally, I look at a lot of my favorite pieces of media for inspiration. Like bloodborne or httyd. Consuming other's art inspires my original work, but I'm happy to brain storm with you if you want someone to bounce off of ★
