With the arrival of new templates I dusted off Victor .... and I thought 'hey Victor might fit into the 1700s/1800s a bit more than modern day ...' wonder
So I'm asking if anyone wants a RP set in 1700s - 1800s USA or a fictional alternated version of it. Basic knowledge of USA history would be helpful, though I don't plan for this to be 100% accurate and I'm sure things will pop up that are either too early or too late for the loose 1700 - 1800 time frame I'm thinking of.
The idea is more modern than middle ages but not modern day. Guns exist, but are hard to use and expensive. Guns and swords are most common with military and rich people.
Poorer people have knifes, bow and arrows, and whatever was handed down from past generations.
People made their own clothes and hunt for food. Land belongs to whoever is there the most to keep others out more than who's name is on a piece of paper.
Animals are killed left and right for fur, because they're pests, because a rich person felt like it, and other reasons.
The exact location can be fictional as long as it sticks to the loose time period. My character doesn't concern himself with politics and lives in a very remote place in the wild so if the land is a colony that doesn't want to be a colony anymore or not he wouldn't know or care.
What I'm offering:
Victor is a trapper and fur trader living on his own land up in the hills far from most of humankind. He's been up there since he was twelve after having a falling out with his family, who live down in the valley. Victor's a bit odd and there's a rumor he was once committed to an insane asylum when he was very young, but not much word on if that story is true or not. Either way he's known to be strange, bad tempered and not fond of people. He only comes down to trade in the Summer and Fall and to stock up on supplies before winter sets in, trapping him up in the hills. From April to September the pass through the mountains is clear. One of the trails follows the river which passes through part of Victor's land, he doesn't like trespassers or poachers so many avoid that trail unless they're armed or they know the man isn't around.
Victor has a flit-lock rifle, assorted bone and stone knifes and a metal pocket knife. He also has wooden spears and other hunting/fur trapper stuff.
He wears buckskin clothes, moccasins and a beaver fur hat.
Revised story idea:
Victor is a fur trapper that lives alone in the mountains. It's a hard life, made harder since he works for himself instead of one of the big companies. One things that makes the life of a trapper easier is having what's called a country wife, that is a native woman around to do the lion's share of the work and for the man's pleasure(mostly fade to black). Looking for any humans or anthros of species native to North America to help Victor survive the wilderness. He's not an easy man to get along with. Skunks and Raccoons preferred above other anthro species. Focus will be on day to day living and the two trying to get along. Romance is possible but would need to be worked up to over a long period of IC time.

The above give a more set plot to work off of and if someone with a mini universe in their head would like to work with the mini universe in mine I would be most pleased. NPCs are very needed as is a leading lady. She does not have to be a nice person but someone not evil would be preferred. Victor is not an easy person to get along with and would view the woman as inferior due to time period and or her species. He's not a nice person but he's not the worst person ever either.

Person I was RPing with dropped out for the last few months for reasons unknown to me so looking for anyone willing to put up with a gruff young mountain man who hates people.
