I hope you do find new friends and folks to RP with though and are able to find what you're looking for. I always make the suggestion to put out advertisements of what you're looking for or to check out the forums (mainly the Forum Games) with your characters for that quick interaction. Sometimes you even hit it off with fellow writers and then the world-building can begin! You know I'm around to answer questions, of course!If you need anything, you can always reach out to me -- you know where to find me most times and though I'm slow to reply, I do always manage to get to my messages eventually (blame chaotic schedules!).
