Asa paused, thinking for a moment. "I'm not sure, but it's possible. Libraries like this often have restricted areas for rare or dangerous information." She glanced around the library, wondering if such a place was hidden somewhere. "We might have to look harder or ask someone who works here."

Asa glanced around the library, a little uneasy about the silence and darkness. "Well, if no one's around, we might have to wait for someone to show up." She looked at the shelves thoughtfully. "Or maybe there's another way in. A hidden door or something..."

Yoru's voice interrupted Asa's thoughts, "Or you could just go in and take what you want. After all, what's stopping you?" Yoru sounded mischievous, clearly suggesting a more rebellious approach.

Asa's eyes widened with concern as she saw Sooyoung on the ground. "Are you okay?" she asked softly, kneeling beside her to check on her head.

Yoru, leaning casually against a nearby shelf in the dim light, observed the scene with a wry smile. "This place has its tricks," she remarked, her tone a mix of amusement and caution. "Let's stick together and figure out where we are before anything else happens."

Asa pulled out her phone, quickly turning on the flashlight. The beam of light illuminated the dark area around them, revealing a narrow path leading deeper into the library.

"Here, this should help," she said, holding the phone out in front of her, cautiously walking toward the path Vextra pointed out.

Asa looked around, her grip on the phone tightening as she glanced at the caution tape. The air felt heavier, like it was thick with mystery and danger. She frowned slightly.

"This doesn’t feel right," Asa muttered, her eyes scanning the surroundings. "We shouldn’t be here, but... it’s too late to turn back now, right?"

She stepped forward cautiously, keeping the flashlight steady. "Let’s just be careful. The last thing we want is to get caught or... worse."

Asa shivered from the cold air and wrapped her arms around herself, feeling the unsettling chill. "Yeah, I’m not exactly a fan of this place," she muttered, glancing around nervously. "The cold... it’s like it’s seeping into my bones."

Yoru, growing impatient with the constant complaining, suddenly snapped, her voice sharp and commanding. "Enough with the whining! We’re not going to get anything done if you keep babbling! If you’re cold, move! If you’re scared, toughen up!" Yoru growled, her voice echoing through the dark hallway. "Complaining won’t solve anything!"

Asa sighed and walked down another aisle, her eyes scanning the bookshelves for anything useful. "Nothing here either," she muttered, shaking her head in frustration. "This place is a maze, and we’re running out of options." She could feel the weight of the eerie atmosphere pressing in on her.

Yoru, still irritated by the constant searching, let out a sharp sigh. "Quit wasting time," she snapped. "If there’s nothing here, then let’s move on. We don't have all day to search every shelf." She kept her gaze fixed on the shadows, feeling like something was watching them in the dark. "We need to find a way out. This place is getting worse by the second."

Asa glanced at Yoru, then Sooyoung, her expression a mixture of frustration and resignation. “Well, I guess if both of you agree for once, I better start paying attention,” she muttered, rubbing her temples.

Yoru snickered, clearly amused. “I’m starting to like Sooyoung’s style. I don't know how she manages to get in trouble and still find a way out.”

Asa sighed and shook her head. “You’re not helping, Yoru.”

She glanced around the space, eyes narrowing. "I guess we just have to find a way out without getting caught."

She didn’t need to say much more, as the situation already felt a bit tense. As they started looking around, Asa couldn’t help but feel that every move was being watched.

“Let’s just find a way out before they come looking for us,” Asa said quietly, her voice more determined now. She turned to Sooyoung and gave her a quick nod, signaling that she was ready to make their move.

Asa let out a small sigh before speaking. “We don’t need to call for help,” she said, glancing at Sooyoung. “I already found a way out.”

Yoru chuckled in amusement. “See? This is why I’m the smart one.”

Asa ignored her and gestured toward a small, barely noticeable door near the back of the room. “It leads outside. If we’re careful, we can slip out without anyone noticing.”

She turned to Sooyoung with a slight smirk. “Unless you’d rather stay and explain everything to the principal?”

Asa furrowed her brows, gripping her phone a little tighter as she glanced around. "I don't know," she admitted, her voice tense. "We came in through that bookshelf, but I don’t see anything that looks like a way back." She turned in a slow circle, trying to retrace their steps, but the dim lighting and towering bookshelves made everything feel disorienting.

Yoru groaned, crossing her arms. "Great. So we’re stuck?" she muttered. "Figures." She glanced at Asa. "Well, if you don’t want to risk making noise, then we better start thinking of another way out before we rot in here."

As Sooyoung approached, Asa let out a breath, trying to steady herself. "We just need to stay calm and think," she said, more to herself than anyone else. "There has to be another way."

Asa followed Sooyoung back toward the bookshelf, shining her phone's light over the wooden surface. "Maybe," she muttered, running a hand along the shelves. "But if it was a hidden entrance, then it might not just open the same way we came in."

She knocked lightly against the wood, listening for any hollow sounds. "There’s gotta be some kind of trigger or mechanism," she said, glancing at Sooyoung and Vextra. "Help me look—maybe something shifts, or there’s a book we need to pull."

Yoru sighed dramatically. "Or we could just break it down," she suggested, but Asa shot her a glare.

"We are not destroying a whole bookshelf," she huffed. "Just help me figure this out."

Asa turned quickly as Sooyoung disappeared through the shifting shelf. She blinked, then rushed over, running her hands along the same spot. "You actually did it?" she muttered, feeling the wood shift under her touch.

She pushed against it, and the hidden passageway creaked open wider. A cold draft hit her face as she stepped through. "Finally," she sighed. "Let’s get out of here before someone realizes we were even down here."

Yoru scoffed. "Took you long enough."

Rolling her eyes, Asa glanced back at Vextra. "Come on, before this thing decides to shut again."

Asa stepped out and exhaled, relieved to finally be back in the main library. "That was a waste of time," she muttered, stuffing her hands in her pockets. "We barely found anything useful."

Yoru scoffed. "You mean you barely found anything. I got exactly what I needed."

Asa frowned, immediately suspicious. "What do you mean?"

Yoru smirked, crossing her arms. "Just some information on the Four Horsemen. Nothing you need to worry about."

Asa narrowed her eyes. "You’re seriously keeping secrets? After everything?"

Yoru turned away with a dismissive shrug. "Not my fault you weren’t paying attention."

Asa clenched her fists but forced herself to take a deep breath. "Let’s just go before we get caught," she muttered, already feeling exhausted.

Yoru sighed, clearly frustrated. "You can't keep hiding like this, Asa," she snapped, her voice laced with annoyance. "It's lunch, not a warzone. Just go sit down, already."

Asa hesitated, glancing at the crowded cafeteria. "I... I just don’t know where to go..." she murmured, unsure.

"Stop overthinking everything!" Yoru growled, pushing her forward. "You can't keep hiding from people forever."

Asa sighed, feeling the pressure but still unsure. "Fine... I’ll go find a seat." She slowly moved forward, trying to blend in with the crowd while Yoru quietly urged her on.

Asa hesitated for a moment, feeling Yoru’s presence pushing her forward. Yoru smirked, rolling her eyes. “See? You’re not that hard to find. Go over there before they start getting impatient.”

Asa nervously glanced over at Sooyoung and Vextra, then slowly walked toward their table, trying to hide her anxiety. Yoru’s voice echoed in her mind, a constant reminder to stop overthinking. “You got this.”

Once Asa reached the table, she gave a small wave. “H-hey... Thanks for saving us a seat.” She looked around, trying to settle in, but her unease was clear.

Asa winced at the noise, her hands instinctively covering her ears. “I wasn’t expecting it to be this crowded,” she said, trying to force a smile. “It’s... a lot to take in all at once.”

She glanced around nervously, taking in the overwhelming chatter and movement around them. "It’s a bit much, don’t you think?" she added softly, her voice almost lost in the noise. She tried to focus on her friends, looking for something familiar to ground herself in the chaos.

Asa hesitated for a moment, glancing nervously at the bustling cafeteria before nodding. “Yeah... I guess I’ll go with you,” she said, standing up slowly. “It’s probably better to get something before it gets too crazy.”

She followed Sooyoung toward the lunch line, her eyes scanning the surroundings, still adjusting to the noise and crowd. She hoped the food would be a small distraction from the overwhelming atmosphere. it was just Yoru and Vextra at the table then

Yoru leaned back in her seat, a slightly amused expression crossing her face. "School like this? Not exactly," she replied, her voice calm yet tinged with a bit of sarcasm. "Not many places where I would choose to attend, let alone blend in with all these... mortals."

She glanced around the cafeteria, observing the students chatting and laughing, clearly unfazed by the normalcy of it all. "But I suppose it’s an interesting experience, especially if it leads to something useful. But no, I haven’t been in a place like this before."

Yoru sighed, leaning back in her seat with her arms crossed. "So you messed up, and now you're trying to make things right? At least you’re aware of it."

She tapped her fingers against the table. "But just so you know, following the rules isn’t always enough to keep you safe. Hunters don’t care about rules—they care about results." Yoru crossed her arms, leaning back slightly as she scoffed. "Humans are pathetic," she said bluntly. "They start wars, kill each other over the stupidest things, and then act like they're better than devils. At least we don’t pretend to be something we’re not."

She narrowed her eyes, her voice laced with bitterness. "They call us monsters, but they’re just as cruel—maybe worse. They hunt devils, fear us, and yet they’re the ones who created every war in history. Hypocrites."

Yoru clicked her tongue in annoyance. "I've watched them fight and betray each other for centuries. Even when they say they want peace, they just find another excuse to start killing again. They never learn."

She cast a glance toward Asa, her expression softening just a little. "Some of them are different, I guess. But not enough to change my mind."

Yoru stared at Asa for a moment, her usual cold demeanor softening slightly as she listened. "Maybe there’s a reason," she said, her voice quieter, more thoughtful. "Some people are just... meant to meet, you know? Maybe Sooyoung's your purpose. Maybe she’s the one who can handle your power, or help you figure things out."

She tilted her head, her eyes narrowing. "I don’t know much about fate, but I’ve seen a lot of devils and humans come together for reasons they didn’t understand at first. Some relationships are born out of chaos, and others, like yours, might be built for something greater."

Yoru paused, then smirked, her usual mischievous tone returning. "Don’t get too sentimental, though. It’s not a good look on you."
