The dim glow of lanterns flickered against the stone walls of the Scout Regiment headquarters. The air smelled of old parchment, ink, and steel—familiar, comforting. Hange Zoe sat at their cluttered desk, scribbling notes furiously, their mind racing with calculations and theories about Titan behavior. A stack of half-eaten bread and untouched tea sat to the side, long forgotten in their obsession.
"Ahhh, if only I had more data! More time!" they muttered, pushing their goggles up onto their forehead. "Maybe if we can isolate the nerve clusters—no, no, no, that wouldn't explain the delayed response times… Agh!"
Their thoughts were interrupted by the sound of boots approaching down the hall. Someone was coming—perhaps a fellow scout, a new mission, or maybe… news about a Titan sighting?

Liora had walked into the dimly lit room. The scent of bread filled the room as she walked in. She was a red head with green eyes and a tattoo on her shoulder. The tattoo represented the number of Titans she had killed. The was very large. Almost around 60 titans in counting.
When she walked in, there didn't seem to be that much people besides a person whose hair seemed to be....Brown? or Black? She wasn't sure
Anyways, ever since she moved away from the Wall Rose, Yarckel District and managing to kill 60 Titans on her way here, she wanted to be here more than anything. She vowed that when she got here, she will prove herself and get revenge on the Titans for killing her parent's.
" Excuse me? " She said, holding her sword in hand

Hange blinked, momentarily pulled from their notes as the sound of footsteps echoed through the dimly lit room. They turned toward the entrance, pushing their goggles up onto their forehead, eyes immediately locking onto the red-haired soldier standing in the doorway.
A grin spread across their face as they took in the details—the sword in her grip, the sharp determination in her stance, and most notably, the tattoo inked onto her shoulder. Sixty Titans? Now that was interesting.
"Well, well, what do we have here?" Hange stepped forward, their excitement barely contained. "I don’t believe we’ve met before! You must be new to the Scouts—or at least, new to me!" They placed a hand on their hip, tilting their head curiously.
"I'm Hange Zoe, Squad Leader of the Scout Regiment. And you are?" Their gaze flickered to the sword she held. "No need to be so tense—I promise I don’t bite! But I do have a million questions, especially about that impressive little mark you’ve got there." They pointed at her tattoo, their grin widening. "Sixty Titans, huh? You’ll have to tell me all about that."

She blinked several times as the person talked. She was more confused, honestly due to the fact that they were talking fast
" Uhh okay? " She said and stood up straight " Nice to meet you. I am Liora Falken. I am from the Yarckel District. I am also a part of the survey Corps over there. Or was before I moved " She said
" Pleasure to meet you Hange Zoe " She nodded
" And about this tattoo, yes i killed 60 titans in total. on my over here. A mark for each one " She explained to them " Feel free to ask any questions " She smiled a little
" I am here to see if i can be of some use? in any way i can at least. Whether it be battle or not. I am sure i can be useful "

Hange clapped their hands together suddenly. “As for being of use—oh, don’t worry about that! We always have work to do, whether it’s fighting Titans, strategizing, or—" They paused, eyes glinting mischievously. "—helping me with a few harmless Titan experiments.”
They chuckled before waving a hand dismissively. “Kidding! …Sort of. But really, your experience could be valuable in many ways. We’ll have to see where you fit in best.”
They leaned in slightly, tilting their head. “So, Liora, tell me—when you fought those Titans, did you ever notice anything... strange? Anything different from the usual? I’m always on the lookout for anomalies.”

" Anything Odd huh? " She had to think for a moment " Well yes actually! " She looked at them " The one that I previously fought, His appearance looked different. Like it was slowly mutating into something else. It's face changed. It's body was sorta the same, except the color. OH! Also, I noticed a distant figured which was tsanding a few yards away. They were wearing a cloak but i thought it was my imagination so i shook it off and finished defeating the damn thing. It was like the Tita was stronger too " She explained to them
" I do not know how the Titan managed to be that strong. The ones i fought were weaker but somehow that one was way stronger. But i managed to kill it anyway so. " She said
" Oh! I hope this helps you in anyway. And with those Titan experiments? I mean sure I can help if you need i. I wouldnt mind " She smiled softly

Hange’s eyes practically glowed with intensity as they leaned in, their gaze unwavering. The moment Liora mentioned the mutating Titan, Hange’s excitement surged, and they couldn’t help but bounce on the balls of their feet.
“Mutating? A Titan changing right before your eyes?! How deliciously fascinating!” they exclaimed, their voice a bit too loud and full of manic energy. “Do you realize what this could mean? A new breed of Titan? Maybe they’ve evolved! Oh, the possibilities—my mind is racing right now! Was it faster? Stronger? Could it regenerate faster? Did you notice anything unusual about its behavior?”
They gripped the edge of a nearby table, looking almost unhinged, eyes darting to and fro as they thought about the implications. “A cloaked figure? Ha! You definitely didn’t imagine it! Who else could be behind this? What if it’s a new kind of Titan shifter? A new form of Titan manipulation? We need to investigate! This could be the key to everything!”
Hange’s hands were shaking, barely containing their excitement. They pulled off their goggles and fixed them on Liora, staring with an almost manic intensity. “Yes! Yes! Help me! Help me figure this out! This is exactly what I’ve been waiting for! You, Liora, you’re perfect for this! You saw it—you felt it—something’s wrong with the Titans, and I’m going to get to the bottom of it!”
Then, suddenly, they calmed down, leaning back and giving a wild grin. “But first, let’s work together and do some real science. What do you say?”

Liora was looking at them back and forth as they moved around rapidly. She blinked several times as they were talking at Lightning " How much sugar have you had? You sound like a mad scientist? Do those even exist anymore? " She said " And I'd be happy to help of course "
She sat down in a nearby chair and Twirled in it " About the mysterious cloaked person, What if that person is the reason these titans exist in the first place? Wat if they're like the mom or dad of them? The one who created them? " She asked " Think about it. They created a titan like the one i defeated when they realized the others were weak and felt useless. Then, while i am fighting the one they created, they show up, in the distance, watching to see how weak or strong their new creation was? " She looked at Hange Zoe
She looked down in a shy manner " A-At least that's just a theory though...." She said

They paced in a small circle, clearly lost in their thoughts as Liora continued. Her theory made their eyes widen with glee. “The parent of Titans? Oh, I love that idea!” Hange’s voice was full of breathless excitement, practically vibrating with the possibilities. “What if—what if the Titans weren’t just mindless creatures? What if they were... created for a reason? An experiment? A weapon? Or—" they paused dramatically, eyes glinting with unhinged wonder, "—what if there’s a creator, someone pulling the strings, and we’ve been fighting their mistakes all this time?!”
Hange’s excitement almost became manic as they walked closer to Liora, leaning in, staring intensely at her. “Yes! Yes! It makes so much sense! If someone—something—has been making these creatures, maybe we’re looking at this all wrong! Maybe we’re not supposed to be fighting them—we need to be finding the source! The one who made them in the first place!”
Hange’s hands shot up, nearly knocking over a pile of papers in their frenzy. “I love this theory, Liora! I can already see it—tracking down the creator, figuring out their motives, understanding what went wrong with their Titans—oh, we’re on the edge of something big!”
They abruptly stopped pacing, their energy shifting in an instant to a focused intensity, as they locked eyes with Liora. “You’ve got it. We need to find this person. Whatever they are, whoever they are, they have to be the key to ending this whole nightmare. We need more clues, Liora. Keep your eyes peeled. That cloaked figure could be everything.”
Hange grinned wildly. “And trust me, this is going to be fun. Real fun.”

Liora thought for moment then locked eyes with Hange. It was like she was staring into their soul " Like, an adventure? " She loved adventures even as a kid. Going out. Making imaginary scenes then figuring them out. Coming up with answers. She loved playing detective
She grabbed a notebook and pen out of her bag " I have a notebook and pen. Why not play detectives? " She said
She smiled and looked around then looked back at Hange " Before we go, we need food supplies, stuff to collect evidence. and water or stuff to drink. and tents just in case" She told Hange
" Let's get going " She said

Hange's eyes gleamed with pure excitement as Liora spoke, their expression almost glowing with the thrill of what she suggested. "An adventure?" They gasped as if it were the most brilliant thing they'd ever heard. "Of course! A detective adventure! I love it! We're going to be like... detectives of Titan mysteries, solving the biggest puzzle in history!"
They quickly bounced in place, clearly bouncing off the walls with the idea. "A notebook! Yes, yes! That's exactly what we need! We’ll jot down all the clues, write down every detail—no matter how small. Everything’s important! We’re going to uncover the truth!"
Hange immediately began rifling through their cluttered desk, searching for a notebook of their own, muttering about finding the perfect one for this adventure. "Food supplies, evidence collection, water, tents..." They paused and then raised an eyebrow. "You're absolutely right, we can’t go in without being properly prepared. Oh, Levi will love that part. He’s such a stickler for proper planning." Hange grinned, their eyes practically gleaming with mischief. "We'll have to ask him for help. He's probably got all the camping supplies and food we need—he’s the best at keeping everything organized."
Hange straightened up suddenly, a serious look crossing their face. "But we need to be quick, Liora. If we wait too long, we might lose our trail. The clock’s ticking, and we are going to find answers!"
They gave her a wild grin. "Alright, let's talk to Levi and get this show on the road! Adventure awaits!"

She grabbed her backpack and sword, heading out. She looked over at Hange " Oh and...who is Levi? " She asked Hange " I am not sure if i know of this Levi person " She said to them " Sounds like he could be...hard-headed? " She said
She looked around unsure of what direction to go in. She waited for Hange to show her since she was still pretty new to this and what kind of...Job? Hange does for them. or if it was a personal interest.
Even so, she was happy that she can help and still manage to go on adventures and be a detective doing it as well.

Hange’s eyes lit up as Liora mentioned not knowing who Levi was. They took a deep breath, then dramatically exhaled, as if preparing to share an important piece of information.
"Ohhhh, Levi! He’s—well, let’s just say, he’s a bit of a legend around here. He’s the Captain of the Survey Corps. You might have heard of him by reputation before, even if you haven’t met him." Hange’s tone was filled with reverence and just a hint of mischief. "Levi is... intense, shall we say? Very serious, very hard-headed—extremely hard-headed." They chuckled, the laugh a little wild. "But also one of the most capable soldiers we have. He’s incredible when it comes to combat—scary good. And he has a no-nonsense attitude. So, yeah, he’s not exactly the warm, fuzzy type, but... he's someone you want on your side."
Hange's grin grew wider as they walked beside Liora. "And as for what I do? Well, you could say I’m... obsessed with understanding the Titans. I lead a few experiments, collect data, run some... unconventional research." They shrugged with a sheepish grin, clearly not too bothered by how strange their job could sound. "But with this little investigation of ours? I’ll be more than happy to have some help, and it’ll be fun. A real adventure!"
They glanced around, then turned back to Liora. "Alright! Levi should be in his office, keeping things in order as always. Follow me! Don’t worry, you’ll get used to this place soon enough. Just stick close and we’ll get everything sorted."
Hange grinned again, their voice tinged with excitement. "This is just the beginning, Liora. We’re going to get answers, and we’re going to do it together!"

Liora eyes lit up when Hange said that Levi was the Captain of the Survey Corps " Captain ay? " She said " Are they taking new members? " She asked Hange, curious to see if she can possibly join them " Just curious that's all " She said
She never heard of this Levi guy but if he is Captain of the Survey Corpse then he has to be hardheaded right?
She Looked back at Hange when they mentioned what they did " So it's more like a personal project right? or is it for the Survey corps? " She asked Hange. She was very curious to know since she knew nothing except know how to collect information
She nodded and followed Hange into Levi's office " I am sure I will. I pretty much adjust quickly everywhere i have been too " She said " And I hope we become legends at some point too. I mean with our evidence, we may uncover more than the truth. Maybe secrets as well. You never know "
