She wanted to cry but tok a few deep breaths and looked at Levi " Thank.... " She formed a smiled om her face " Thank you Levi... " She said and hugged him so suddenly " Thank you so much Levi! " She said

She then sat back down after giving him a hug. She still had a soft smile on her face

Levi sighed, shaking his head slightly, but there was no annoyance in his expression—just quiet understanding. He wasn’t the best at this kind of thing, but he could see how much this meant to her.

He glanced at her again, noticing the soft smile on her face, and for a moment, his usual hardened demeanor softened. "Tch… You don’t have to thank me," he said, his voice quieter than usual. "I meant what I said."

After a brief hesitation, he added, "You’re not just another soldier to me, Liora." His gaze was steady, serious. "You’re strong, and you care about the people around you. That’s not something I overlook."

He let out a small breath before continuing. "You don’t need to figure everything out right now. Just… take your time, alright?" His tone was unusually gentle, and though his words were few, they carried weight.

Then, after a pause, the corner of his lips twitched ever so slightly, almost like the ghost of a smirk. "You good now? Or do I have to sit here and listen to you go on about how ‘amazing’ I am for another hour?" His voice held the slightest tease, but there was no malice—just an attempt to make things feel a little lighter.

She chuckled and what he said " I'm okay. But hey I can of you want me too " She said, looking at him, smiling. She looked away a little, getting a little bit flustered

" But seriously Levi, you are amazing. Never seen someone who was as hard headed and hardworking as you are " She said

" Thank you again for being here for me " She told him " That means alot to me. More than you know " She said

Levi gave her a small, rare smile as he gently patted her head. “You’re stronger than you think,” he said. “You just need to stop pushing yourself to the point of collapsing.” His voice was softer than usual, almost reassuring.

He glanced at her, noticing the way she looked a little flustered. “And don’t mention it,” he added, standing up. “You’re not just another soldier, Liora. I look out for my squad.” His tone was firm, but there was an undeniable warmth to it.

With one last pat on her head, he turned toward the door. “Just… don’t overdo it again. I don’t want to be dragging you back here every time.”

She nodded " Got it Mr. Captain! " She said and smiled. She sat there, smiling " I will take it easy from now on. I promise " She smiled. She then looked up to the ceiling, thinking about something

Her mind: Hmmmm....I told Levi that i have a thing for him, but does he feel the same?

She thought about that for a moment, leaving her confused

Levi lingered for a moment by the door, his fingers tapping lightly against the frame. He let out a quiet sigh, glancing at her as she sat there, lost in thought.

“…Good,” he finally said, his voice softer than usual. “Keep that promise.”

For a second, he hesitated. Then, with a rare moment of honesty, he added, “And Liora… I wouldn’t have cared this much if it was just anyone.”

His gaze met hers briefly before he turned away, walking toward the door. “Rest up,” he muttered, but there was something different in his tone—something warmer. Then, without another word, he left the room.

She looked up with a hint of light in her eyes. Could it be...he possibly feels the same way? She shook her head then layer on the bed in the infirmary

She turned over on her side and slowly closed her eyes. For the first time, she actually started to listen to him. She doesn't want to make him worry anymore
