Hello! I'm currently craving to write a type of found family dynamic involving a semi-old character of mine! He hasn't gotten much love from me since his conception, and I'm just a sucker for the "aloof old man accidentally adopts a kid" trope, so I thought why not!
First off, a bit about me:
I'm Noeul (or Snow, whichever you prefer), 26, she/they/he, author of 15+ years, artist, gamer and dog mom!
Please always assume that I'm busy; I might not always be around to chat, and my responses to the RP can vary from once every other day to once a week. I do my best to be as communicative as possible if I might not be able to respond for a bit!
That said, I DO love to get to know each other! I love sharing playlists, memes, art, pinterest boards, what-have-you. Don't be afraid to send me anything not pertaining to the RP.
I am primarily a multi-para to novella writer, and my style of writing can lean more into the cryptic, flowery and poetic range, third-person past-tense. However do be warned that my general style of writing morphs and adapts because I write as a hobby and for fun, not for severe professionalism.
What I'm looking for in a partner:
- Patience.
- Long-term.
- Someone who enjoys discussing characters and the stories we create together! I really want someone who is just as invested in this as I am.
What I'm not looking for:
- Short replies, one-liners, script. I need a bit of depth to work off of and to really keep me engaged.
- Godmodding/powerplaying. When in doubt, just ask!
- Rude or manipulative partners. Nasty attitudes simply won't be tolerated, towards me or my characters.
Now, onto the plot!:
The setting takes place in what is known as Cherry City: it is a massive, massive city that is a sort of nexus that brings in all manners of other races of both mortal and immortal alike. While people have learned to coexist with one another, there is still that divide holding discrimination and xenophobia, but for the most part, it is relatively peaceful, and the city is always progressing at a perhaps alarming rate.
My character, Kojuro, is a member of an anthropomorphic race hailing from a spirit-world of forests and mountains. He is the only one who left his homeworld, and hence the only member residing in Cherry City. Armed with an unnaturally large katana, he has taken to becoming a bastion of peace for the city, one of few who uphold the security between mortal and immortal — he frequently settles petty squabbles between opposing races, breaking up fights and aiding the less fortunate, with no bias towards either side. Outside of this, he enjoys tending to his garden and lazing on his porch watching the sunset while sipping on spirits.
He is very much distant and painfully blunt, and doesn't react well to those attempting to befriend him, only because he never had that before and due to some trauma. I honestly think it would be fun to have someone worm their way into his life and unintentionally become his kid! That said, I have no restrictions concerning your character: they can be any gender, species (mortal or immortal), age, what-have-you! This can be a lighthearted and perhaps 'fluffy' story, there will be themes of angst and grit later on. It should go without saying too that this is strictly SFW, so no romance or smut.

Combat is woven into the storyline and could come to the forefront if the characters seek it out.
