Hello, hopefully new friends!
It has been entirely too long since I last roleplayed but I've been roleplaying for something like fifteen years now I think? Most typically I stray toward the fantasy genre but lately I've been more drawn to modern slice of life romance with a little extra sparkle.
Like a shopkeep who seems to know exactly what you need before you do and other such things.
As I said above, it's been a while since I roleplayed last so ideally what I hope to find here is someone, or a handful of someone's, who won't mind granting me a little warmth while I get back into something I once had a huge passion for.
I tend to prefer either one on one or small group settings because I will absolutely get lost if too much is going on. Plus I'm a nervous wreck and each person you add to the mix is one more person I want to impress and the pressure gets tremendous.

Aw hey, welcome - we have a couple of things in common c: I made the decision myself to pick up PbP again a couple of days ago.
Hope things work out for you here. I'm having fun working on a few characters, running through the LFRP forums, and reading people's profiles.
You might enjoy the fact that it's an option to play a character anonymously, if you get nervous! It's a little checkbox you can mark off when you make a profile.

Thank you! I've just finished adding my first character myself, though I'm sure I'll edit him a couple thousand times before I'm truly happy, but I really like the general feel and lay out so far! I'm looking forward to making friends and crafting stories. I believe I saw that you're used to making characters on the fly for a prompt? That's pretty neat.

Thank you! Yeah, that was the culture of the forum I first arrived at at the tender age of maybe 14; someone posted a prompt and a character sheet they wanted people to fill out, you'd go "neat" and do it, and wait for their OK to join the IC thread. I have played the same characters in disparate RPs, but it is far from the norm for me.
I like to think it's helped me get pretty good at quickly inventing NPCs for my D&D games ୧(＾ 〰 ＾)୨

I'm a bit of a D&D nerd myself. I suspect many of us who roleplay are, to be fair, but it sounds like a great skill to have!
Welcome to RPR ! You will find many Rp's both 1-1 and groups advertised in the Forums, make sure to ask people if you find characters you are interested in as many players are often seeking RP with those characters or others.
