Rro Rogers (played by RoyaleX318)

Jolly hit the bench hard, he heard the machinery start to turn on, he crawled, wounded under the table towards a metal chain. He found his balance and stood grabbing the thick linked metal and used it as a whip towards Alkalai and pulled the chain as soon as he caught the man. Jolly watched as the man stumbled forward forgetting the buzz saw was now turned on and right between the mail smith and himself, "Wait!" Jolly cried wishing to undo his attack, "Nooooooo!"

rolled 1d6 and got 2
1-wrapped around his neck, 2,3,4,5 wrapped around his arms, 6 missed the man.

When the chain came to him Alkilai instinctually brought up his arms in defense, the chain wrapping around them. He tried to stand his ground but Rro pulled surprisingly hard and he lost his balance and stumbled forward.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!" It all happened so fast, he was pulled into the blade of the spinning buzz saw, his forearms sliced cleaned off like a knife through butter. The pain was excruciating, all he could do was scream, looking at the bloodied stubs that once held his arms. His mind was racing a mile a minute, but eventually the pain got to him, he blacked out.
Rro Rogers (played by RoyaleX318)

Jolly fell backwards onto his rear, between his feet sat two forearms, severed clean off. His ears rang with the sweet shouts of a man who lost not only his arms, but his tool, Jolly had just taken away the mans whole life. He may as well have killed Alkalai. "I, I never meant for any of this to happen," Rro was always so certain of himself, he knew who he was, but this changed it. He wasn't a new man entering this city, he wasn't a new man escaping from jail. But this, this killed the character Jolly thought he was, no more a confident pirate of a man, no more a jolly person, but a slug, guilt stricken for what he had just done.

"Alkalai!" Rro ripped the mans shirt off, and started to wrap the nubs on his arms. He tied the wrappings tight around the fallen man. It seemed he stopped the bleeding for a second but he was horribly wrong, it just kept coming and coming. Sounds of guards were heard from outside. Rro quickly took off as he grabbed the mans coat on the way out. He would repay this man, he didn't know how, but he would. Jolly no longer existed... fore who could be jolly after that? Rro disappeared into the night, tears falling from his eyes.

While the events in Alkilai's shop were unfolding...

The slums of Daremin greeted Hazel with the darkness and stench that they held. Filth covered streets paved the way into a maze of shacks. Not too many lived in this part of the slums. Renovation plans had bought many out of their homes, whether they wanted to or not. Many of the buildings were taped off.

The beggars thanked the man that so graciously gave them coin. They left the man, most likely trying to remember his face for the next time they encounter him. The rest of the population simply either ignored his presence, or watched him after the good deed.
Hazel (played by Borko)

Hazel walked into the city, still trying to ignore the shooting pain from her ankle. As soon as she entered the stench hit her nose and took her back. She looked around and it was obvious that she wasn't from here. She kept walking and being very observant but also trying to blend in and not draw attention to herself. She knew that if she did, and if she didn't behave, she probably wouldn't make it very long in this city. Hazel walked over to a little shack with a bunch of tape over the door that looked undisturbed. Some of the other building look as if people were still living in them. She walked around back inspecting her, hopefully, new room for the night. She climbed in a window that she noticed was already broken. This alerted her senses but she went for it anyways. As she walked around inside, her eyes adjusting to the extreme darkness that surround her. She decided it was clear enough to rest for a little while. As she laid down she was suddenly aware of how vulnerable she was and how much pain she was in. Especially her shoulder, she had forgot about but now that she was laying down she felt how much it throbbed and it all centered around where she was shot. She closed her eyes and hoped for a peaceful night.
The gravel crunching under his boots gave Artemis an uneasy feeling for some reason. The ominous city dredged up old memories, and chills fell down the back of his spine. Watching, and observing the townsfolk, he took in the gruesome scenery. Buildings were crumbling, people helplessly pleading in the streets for the mere being of scraps. This disgusted him, but he kept on treading forward. As he gradually moved on, he saw it faintly in the distance, the Battle Arena. This small glimpse of a single building gave him a hope of a new world, a new life. His steps were faster, and his eyes were averted from his surroundings to this one building. To him, this was like the hand of a savior, reaching out to him for a new start. Fighting was his passion, and this was the legal way of doing it.

((All caught up now! Thanks for your patients everyone. If you check out your character sheets you will see a new addition to it, Enemies and Allies. This keeps track of who likes you and who hates you. Choose carefully who ends up on which list. Although allies may aid you in a visible fight, your enemies may hunt you down. If you are asleep and do not wake up, then please allow it to become day before posting again so that everyone is in the same time.))

Rro and Alkilai

The child, now with a box of scraps, ran to show his father what the nice mad had given him. His father, impressed went to thank the man who had been so generous to his son. By the time he arrived at the shop of Alkilai the events that had destroyed it had already unfolded. Seeing the wreckage the man rushed in, only to find Alkilai unconscious and bleeding out. Rushing to the guards, he fetched help. Had Akilai not shown kindness to the boy the man would not have saved his life.

When Alkilai would wake up he would be in the hospital. He would have basic mechanical hands to replace the ones he lost. However, he was taken advantage of. His shop and it's resources were siezed in order to cover medical expenses. When he left the hospital on his city level, he would have nothing but the money he came in with. Rro, on the other hand, would recieve a twenty Corite bounty for his capture alive... or dead.
Hazel
The night's rest helps to ease the pain from the day before. Though still sore in the morning, the character will wake feeling much better.

Artemis

The air around Artemis would seem to grow more hostile as he approached the unsanctioned arena in the bottom level of the city. Tucked away and full of scum, star wanna-be's, and gamblers wasting their life's saving away, the existence of this arena was not exactly legal. Despite this, no politician dared try and clean it up. "Want to buy some Soma?" Said a shady man with a goatee.

"Forget him," said a man in a some what out dated suit. "Names Sherly, need a fight agent? In two weeks I can get you fighting in prime arenas!"

"That's what you told the last one," said another man, "and he ended up as critter food!"

This bickering continued and they eventually ignored Artemis all together.

A man with a headset and clip board was writing feverishly in the corner as large, steroid filled men spoke, more so yelled, at him. He was the man in charge of the fights.
Rro Rogers (played by RoyaleX318)

Rro made it to the air lift carts, he had decided to get on and leave this city worse came to worse there had to be other places out there for him to travel to. He couldn't live in a city where he had done that to a person. It wasn't fair, none of it was. So he had to get out had to escape. Otherwise the guilt would become too much for him he entered the ground lift and paid the fare to get down. All he had gained from this was a new leg, new cloths and another skeleton for his closet. This city had so much potential, but not for him.

Does Rro get recognized? Even Numbers: No, Odd Numbers: Yes!

The doors to the sky trolly opened and Thorne stepped out, he had been living in a far off land studying human behavior and had come to Dariman to join the military police force. He was actually born in a place like this over two decades ago, but after his mother was killed by the mutant beings like the ones down bellow the city his father took him far away from places like this one. Big cities scared his father. Now that he had come to a different big city, he would know no one, but some how it reminded him of home.

"Sir do you know where I can get some good food this fine morning?" Sam asked Rogers, but the man was silent and boarded the trolly, "never mind." He spotted what looked to be an inn with some sort of food joint inside of it or next to it. And it is here that Rro Rogers disappeared out of this story and escaped into the world. But for Samuel J. Thorne II, this was where his adventure had just begun!
Seeing the man that runs the fights in the arena, he approached him. The large men shouting at the fight manager didn't even make Artemis flinch. He just slithered his way into the small bustle and waited the patiently for the man's attention to be averted to him. Seeing the small man attempting to handle all of these others men, made Artemis uneasy. Gradually becoming flustered, he blew off steam and faced them. "How about we don't all kill the man, and give him some distance!" That snooty remark just slipped past his lips and filled the polluted air. As he waited in response, he readied himself for any retaliation, and clenched his fists.

Artemis
Several of the men turned angrily towards the man that dared to challenge them. "Hold up," said the man with the clip board, "or none of you will fight, got it?" Steaming, the men backed off. "I'll get to you guys later," said the man as he walked towards Artemis. "You have nerve kid, that or you are just plain stupid. Either way, how can I be of assistance?" He said, a sly smile on his face.

Sam (He doesn't actually enter until it is morning again. Artemis is the last character awake atm.)

As Sam enters the city it is morning. The city is slowly coming to life as the residents wake up and start heading to work.
Sighing, he thanked the man. "I would like to register for a fight late tomorrow morning." He looked at the angered men, he smiled at them then turned back to the manager. "I'm a man that enjoys his sleep, so on that note," he chuckled a bit, "do you know any cheap inns? I'm new in town and don't have much money." He waited there for the man's response.

On a roll of 1-4
"Sure I can do that. You fight at..." He pauses as he looks at the clipboard, "you fight at ten sharp. Show up half an hour early. You can stay at the tavern right over there." As he finished his sentence he pointed to a building across the street. "It's twenty corite shards a night. It isn't the best sleep, but it's a good one."

On a roll of 5 or 6
"Sure I can do that. You fight at..." He pauses as he looks at the clipboard, "you fight at ten sharp. Show up half an hour early. You can stay in the second preparation room." He looks over to a man by the door. He was six foot five and very muscular. "Show him to the room, will ya?" The man nods and heads in that direction.

Artemis gladly thanked the man with a bright smile and walked away to the tavern he was directed toward. He took long, quick strides, eager to reach the inn and catch some rest. As he approached the building, he sighed and grasped the handle. His fingers wrapped around the cool damp metal. He waited a few seconds, then yanked the door open and stepped inside. After asking for a room and paying the fee, he walked over to his room and pulled open the door. It was small, but it'll do. He pillowed down on the bed and fell asleep in the clothes he was already wearing.
Hazel (played by Borko)

Hazel woke up to some weird noise on the outside of the building she was in. She got up and reached for her bow until she realized that she didn't have it. She jumped up and tested out her ankle by rocking side to side. No pain. She smiled to herself and was glad she was back to her strong self. She redid her hair into a tight braid that fell down to her mid-back. She heard the noise again and decided to get out of that house before something happened to her. She climbed out the window that she came in and quietly moved to the front of the house. Her plan was to sneak behind a few people and then blend in, but then she noticed all the people. She didn't really need to sneak around because it seemed as though everyone was all caught up in their own business. She took one last look to see if any official people were around and, assuming it was all clear, stepped out into the streets and started to walk towards the direction of everyone else. She didn't know where she was going, but she didn't care.

As morning peaked through the day Thorne sat down at the noodle house, "hey, I'm starving." Sam was smiling, half sarcastic but he really hadn't eaten in two days. Nothing other then the bit of scraps that he had packed. But those had run out early, but the trip itself had taken all the corite shards he had brought as well. The man was dressed in a slightly worn black suit, and had blonde slicked back hair. "I don't really have any money but if you need any errands run, or tasks accomplished I'd gladly work for my meal!"

He had belongings when he left but his father, not wanting his son to head off to a big city like this, forced him to travel light. Sam was almost five when he left city life and on his twenty fifth birthday he left for this city, it was a lot bigger then the city he was from so he was super exited to be here. It wasn't at all as bright and shiny as he remembered cities to be, but it was home now. He would surely enjoy the skies he was under, "so what do ya say?"
Alkilai felt the light of the sun peek through the window and onto his face. They fluttered open, it took a moment for his vision to clear and for him to see the unfamiliar surroundings. He struggled to sit up, taking a better look around, from what he could tell it was some sort of hospital, but how he ended up there was a little hazy. He groaned as he brought his hand up to rub his tired face, his arm felt heavier than usual, as if it was made of...

Alkilai's eyes shot open once he felt the familiar coldness of metal hit his face, it them hit him that he could no longer feel his hand or his entire forearm for that matter. He slowly pulled away "his hand" from his face, his eyes focusing on the appendage. He was shocked to find a standard medical Automail prosthetic in place of his prized human hand. He slowly brought up his left hand as well, only to see a mirror image of the right. He stared in shock, his arms shaking uncontrollably, and suddenly the memories of the day before flooded his mind, of he man Jolly Rro, and what he did to him.

"No... NO!!!" He bellowed as he frantically attempted to leave his bed. He fell on the ground, his Automail catching him, he didn't know why, but he just needed to leave this place, he just felt like running. He clumsily got to his feet and fumbled over to the door, reaching our to turn the nob and escape, but as the Automail came into view, he froze. He just couldn't bring himself to preform this simple task he had done countless times before, these weren't his hands, his prized tools that he had built his lively hood around, how could he go on living without them. He was brought to his knees with this thought, staring once again at his mass produced, inefficient excuse for an Automail.

"...AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!" He screamed in frustration, balling the appendages into fists and slamming them on the ground. He stayed in the position for a while, tears falling from his eyes.
Rolling over in his bed, Artemis yawned. His eyes hazily looked at the clock and it read 9:00. His eyes widened and he jumped out of the bed. The clothes he had been wearing from the day before wrinkled the sheets and made them smell of dust. Not bothered by the musty smell, and walked across to the open sink in the room and began to brush his teeth. Pulling on another shirt, but keeping on his other garments he was ready. Yawning, he felt refreshed. He raised his hands over his head and smiled. For one time he could sleep soundly without the danger of being killed in his sleep. After completely readying himself, he opened the door to the morning. He breathed in and waltzed over to the arena, he arrived there precisely as the man had instructed.

Hazel

As Hazel stepped into the crowd she was paid no attention. Unclean citizens of the bottom level of Daremin rushed about to wherever they needed to be. Despite this area being closed down, a small part of the population still swept through it. No officials dared to be in the slums, either from disgust of fear.

Sam Thorne

"Aye, no hand outs here!" Said a large, thick accented man. "If ye'r out of money then try yer luck at the arena, or some place other than here." The man grunted, huffed, and turned to talk to another customer. If Sam wanted to eat, he would have to find another way to earn money.

Alkilai

The noise from Alkilai's room was noticed by passing nurses. Within minutes several nurses were in the room. With the patient now on the floor, motionless, two nurses walked up to him. Gently they took him by the arms and lead him back to the hospital bed. A mild sedative was given to him in order to help him sleep. After a couple hours of rest he would be discharged. When that happened, he would be free with no real hands, no shop, and only a small amount of money.

Artemis Hunnel

With all dues paid, Artemis received a warm goodbye from the owner of the establishment. When Artemis arrived at the arena, the man that signed him up for the arena was there waiting for him. He smiled and checked his watch. "I didn't think you would show up," he told Artemis. "You got some guts, kid. Head inside and go to the locker room. Wait there. When we call your name head out through the doors on the opposite side of the room and follow the tunnel out." He looked down and checked his clip board. "You're fighting Big Mich." Then his attestation turned to another competitor. The fights today were all solo fights. Tournaments wouldn't be for another few days. If Artemis was good, he could get in. If he was great, he would be invited.

He sighed and headed over to a posted map, the barracks weren't too far from here but neither was the arena. Sam took a moment, he wasn't really a hand to hand kind of guy, or a melee guy for that matter. So off to the barracks he went, rubbing his tummy all the way. Upon arriving he placed what little he had on the counter, "My name is Samuel J. Thorne the II." He looked around seeing the wanted posters on the walls, "and I am interested in joining the city guard." His stomach growled as he looks notices a picture of a man he recognized from earlier. Rogers? He read in his head, not a very well suited guard regimen if they let all their convicts escape. He'd start at the guard and work him way up.
