It was a warm spring day, and the grass was finally growing back from the harsh winter. The forest was full of birdsong, baby animals, and green leaves. But for Cady, the colors were nothing to her. She enjoyed the rich smell of flowers and grass, and the feeling of fresh grass under foot. Her goat had given birth to a kid, and the baby goat had immediately grown attached to Cady and followed her wherever she went if she let it out of its pen. Cady cradled the kid in her arms and petted its fur as she sat on the front step of her home. It was only a small cabin, but it was enough for the blind girl.

Kimmy rolled over in the pile of grass that she slept in the night before. She kept her eyes closed and heard all of the spring sounds that have finally arrived. All she could think about was how food would be easier to get now that winter is over. She missed seeing all the people from town but she knew she had to leave to be her own person, see the land, and of course, go on adventures! And it was time for another one, she hadn't left this area in quite sometime and she is tired of seeing the same things over and over and over again. She stood up and looked around "It's all so boring now" she muttered to herself. She neatly placed all of her belongings back into her bag and put it over her shoulder as she starting walking in the opposite direction that she came from, hoping to find something that would make her life, well, interesting.

Cady continued to pet the little kid. But it decided it wanted to explore and wriggled out of her arm and ran across the grass. The girl stood up, making her way after the little goat. With the advantage of sight, the baby goat was faster than its owner and took off, with Cady following it slowly but surely.
"Come back!" Cady pleaded. Then, she stumbled over a tree root and landed in the dirt and grass. "Oof..." She struggled to sit up, a little bruised.
And the baby goat kept going. It was home free!

After Kimmy walked for about an hour she heard a sound. As curious as she was she decided to go check it out. As she walked closer she could tell it was a goat, or well, a baby goat. "Hey there little guy" she knelt down and opened her arms as she faced the little kid. "It's okay, you can come here" Kimmy didn't really like humans but animals, they understood her. The kid approached her outstretched arms and she started to run her hands down his back. "Where did you come from? I am sure your family is really missing you!" The little goat started to squirm and she let him free to continue his adventure, but she stayed close to the goat so that maybe she could find his home. That's an adventure right?

The goat wondered for a while but eventually came upon this little cabin hidden deep in the woods. This is cute! Kimmy thought to herself, and decided to just explore the area before she continued on.

Cady sighed heavily and got up, having lost track of the goat. She turned and headed back home stumbling a little. One foot was bleeding, but she would be okay. It would take her a couple days to heal, but she was used to getting hurt. After several minutes, she got home and settled down to bandage her foot. Cursing under her breath, she worked on bandaging the injury, it stung a little to clean it out, but she had to do it. Once that was done, she sat down on the doorstep, feeling frustrated for having lost her goat kid.

After a while passed, she head hoofsteps, followed by footsteps, but she stayed still and silent. The little goat ran up to its mistress and butted its head into her side. "Ah. There you are." She patted the goat kid's head and picked it up and stood up. "Enough adventuring for you today."
