Corvina (played by Tolora)

Corvina followed, quickly feeling a line of sweat growing down her back and at her armpits. Zander had been affected by the heat too. His energy quickly waned and he simply padded alongside them, his tongue lolling out the side of his mouth. She found herself hit with the sudden craving for ice cream. The buttery pecan kind. She almost missed Rayner's question altogether. Her mind came up with a dozen different options, but before she could voice any of them, he was taking his shirt off.

"Huh? Oh, I'm not bothered by it." She blushed a little and was looking at the ground. Corvina thought it was nice that he thought of asking first. "I mean, just 'cause I can't do it doesn't mean that you can't either..." Though it really would've been nice to peel off another layer in this heat. She was glad she had her bathing suit under her clothes. That way, she could just take off her shirt and shorts without having to go off into the woods.

Corvina started climbing as she answered Rayner's question. "It could be some nature photographer or documentarist left their camcorder back there. Or maybe it's the government and we've stumbled onto one of their secret hideouts. The waterfall just splits apart for certain secret agents and closes behind them." She smiled as her ideas got more crazy. "Or maybe it's an alien beacon and we'll be abducted when we go to check it out today."
Rayner was glad that she was okay with the whole being shirtless thing. He took his shirt and made it into a bandanna over his head. Rayner had an extremely defined body, just due to being so athletic. Each time he climbed, leaped, and even turn, the little muscle fibers can be seen in almost full detail. He smirked when she answered his question and rolled his eyes a bit. "The last one sounded a bit cheesy...but, I guess there's a possibility." He laughed.

Once they got through the stream the rest of the hike was a breeze. Rayner could hear the gushing sounds of water ahead and it felt like he was nearing heaven with how hot it was. When they got closer to the fall's shoreline, Rayner undid the straps of his bag, took off the shirt upon his forehead, and dipped into the water to cool off. "Oh man!" he yelled out as he played around in the water for a bit. "You need to come in and feel this!" he said to Corvina.
Corvina (played by Tolora)

Corvina was glad that she was behind Rayner. His athleticism was definitely showing. Not that she was looking of course... No she had to keep an eye on where she was going and try not to fall into the river. Zander was getting his dip in early, wading through the parts of the water that were shallower and more slowly moving. He seemed to regain most of his energy, making splashes as he went. Corvina smirked when he said her last theory was a bit cheesy. Actually she thought the first one was the only theory of hers that wasn't cheesy, but she didn't say anything.

She hurried as the sound of the waterfall reached her ears with its promise of cool waters. Zander got in the water moments after Rayner, delighted to be back at this place. Corvina quickly tossed her pack next to Rayner's and took off her shirt and shorts. She waded into the water, shivering a little but gladly taking the cold versus the hot. She dipped under to get her whole body wet and get the shock of it over with. "Ah, This feels amazing!"

Trash, all of it. Most of what Sam owned was just tossed out he sold a lot of it on eBay and had actually made a heavy sum of money on most of it. Besides his bed, and furniture, his house was empty. No pictures on the walls no anything anywhere, food was even cleaned out of the fridge. He had left.

The police had confiscated his bike for finger prints on Sunday but it was now Tuesday and when the knocked to tell him he could pick it up from the Police Station he wasn't there to hear it. No one was, he turned his keys into his land lord and was gone. To be honest he could have fled but he didn't want to, this was his home, the radio was his life, Thalia was his love.

He sat alone in the radio station. He had lost all sense of time, cash lay on the floor along with a suit case of his belongings and a back pack of some rolled up pictures and other such things. "Hello viewers," he was smiling with years once again in his eyes, "this will be my last show, it is about love, loss, and the secrets that can be hidden behind anyones eyes."

There was no smoking in the studio but this was his last moments of freedom, he thought he had the right to take advantage of a few small crimes. If he hadn't locked himself in the radio station alone he might have even gone outside to J walk. "My name is Samuel Thorne, and in the last week I fell in love, robbed a bank, and my father died. Since all of this is true I have locked myself in the radio station here at 103.6 and am awaiting one of you viewers to alert the police..." He paused, as hung his cigar, "but until that happens let me tell you how this all happened."
"I know right?" Rayner said with a hint of excitement in his voice. He splashed some water at Corvina before diving into the deeper area, swimming towards the waterfall. Once he got up to it, he dived beneath it and ended up behind it like the other day. He had already planned how to get up there, especially with the help of Corvina's family's gear. His sharp mind was working rapidly and soon he was back out from underneath the falls and in front of it, swimming back towards the shore.

Once he reached his bag he took out the ropes, harness, and a metal pipe he had brought along. Using the skills his father has taught him when he was younger, he made a figure 8 knot around the pipe before slinging the rope upon his shoulders. He looked at Corvina and at Zander before looking at the falls.

"I'm going to try to secure the line to something..." Rayner informed her, walking back towards the water. He had his climbing shoes on so they wouldn't weigh him down like his hiking boots. He swam out behind the waterfall again and once behind it, he sized it up one more time.

For the most part, there were a lot of ledges for Corvina and himself to climb upon, however they were so slippery due to the water and moss that it would be hard to do so without some extra support. That's what Rayner was hoping the ropes would do. He started to unwrap a bit of the rope from his shoulders and took a few steps back. He looked up and noticed a tree branch hanging out just above the opening of the falls. It was a small target but their highest chance of getting up the sides. Rayner took a deep breathe and soon grabbed the metal pole and tossed it up at the tree branch.

He watched as the rope goes flying up but as soon that it hit the branch, it couldn't wrap around. The metal pole goes flying back down and into the water. Rayner reel it back up and took a deep breath. He released the metal pole from his hand, letting it go flying up. But once again, it did not wrap. "Dangit..." he said to himself and tossed the metal pole up again. Failing, yet again.
Talia (played by MoonKunoichi)

Today was Tuesday. Tuesday and She still hadn't heard not one word from Sam. She had went to his apartment to only find he was gone. The Landlord said "He just up and left!", yet Talia knew that wasn't something Sam would just do. Sam would've at least told her first, he would've at least wrote her or call her or did Something!

Through the neighbors and some information from the Landlord She learned that he worked for the local radio station. Channel 103.6 was where she listened to his voice when she could, since she figured they would never meet again.
"Samuel Thorne, eh?" She said turning the page of her newly bought novel. Books seemed to be the only thing to keep her from being upset at him, to running after him and asking why? Or better yet What the hell was he thinking?!
"He robbed a bank and he fell in love...? I wonder who the girl was..." She muttered. Talia desperately wanted to run to him, but forced herself not to.
Corvina (played by Tolora)

She went back and retrieved the gear from her pack and walked back into the water. Corvina waded through over next to him and shaded her eyes against the sun so she could see what he was aiming at. She felt water soaking her socks and shoes. Zander seemed thoroughly unimpressed with Rayner's throwing ability and paddled around the deeper part of the pond. He swam back and forth through the waterfall.

Corvina somewhat unsuccessfully hid her giggle with a cough. "Having trouble there?" She couldn't tell if there was a problem with the way he was throwing it or something else. She considered trying it herself. She'd been a very good outfielder with a strong arm when she played softball. "I could give it a try if your manly pride will allow it." She teased.

The radio station had been taped off, the air waves were silent and Sam was on his way to the police station. The money matched the missing cash from the bank and the story he told on the air gives him motive and evidence against him. He would be going to jail for at least a couple years. But he remembered the last thing he said as he got taken away, "I plan to never see the girl I love again, because I know if I did I wouldn't be able to let her go again."

He was Halle's off to jail, but would he break out? Could he some how be found innocent?? Or was this the end for Sam???
((DUN DUN DUNNNNN...))

"Well...it's about time you do something..." he laughed. Rayner wasn't sure what it was or why he couldn't throw properly. He had always been athletic and had no problems throwing things. In fact, his father had taught him how to throw knives when he was younger and over the years he had only gotten more accurate in his aim. But he could not this time.

Either way, he stepped aside and handed the rope to Corvina. He took a few steps back, just enough so that his bare back was leaning slightly against the waterfall, but not enough to be in it. He crossed his arms, watching and waiting to see if she could make it.
Corvina (played by Tolora)

Corvina smiled slightly and took the rope from him when he offered it to her. Zander seemed to take notice and bark a sound of encouragement. She was acutely aware of Rayner's eyes on her as she aimed just above the branch. Recalling all the lessons and tips on throwing that her coaches had taught her. She relaxed her body and threw. It missed, going to the left of the branch. Her cheeks reddened a little bit but she wasn't going to give up on the first try. She pulled the rope back in and tried again. It hit the branch directly and bounced off it instead of going a little higher and wrapping around it. Her face turned a deeper shade of red and she pulled the rope back in for another try.

"Third time's the charm..." She said before throwing it again. It sailed through the air and wrapped neatly around the branch. She looked at it, surprised, and yanked on the rope. It didn't come loose. She started laughing. "I got it!" She turned and grinned at Rayner. It wasn't a grin she had to force either. She'd never done that before and was quite proud of herself.
Rayner kept his arms crossed as he watched her tried the first and then the second time. He observed everything like how he usually did - from the way she cocked her arm back to the way the metal bar was released. He observed and memorized. It all came very naturally to him. He kept quiet when she used the cliche saying but smirked once the rope wrapped around the branch.

He unfold his arms and applauded her for making it. "Awesome!" he said as he walked over to Corvina to give her a high five. After that he picked up the other gear and handed her a harness after putting on his. "You want to make sure it's tight, but not too tight. Don't want it cutting off circulation to your legs and all," he said. "Especially if this is some sort of villain hide out...I don't want to have to carry you out of here." he smirked before walking up behind her and began to attach the rope to her harness. He quickly pulled and tugged on some of the straps and ropes of her harness to make sure they were secure. "Perfect." he said and walked away to attach himself to the rope.

Once everything was safe he looked over at Zander. "Hey buddy, wanna jump on to my shoulders?" He asked but already turned around to face the slippery rock wall. "Wait a few and then follow my lead, okay? I'll try to make sure to find non slippery paths." He reassured Corvina. This wasn't the first time he had rock climbed. In fact, the first time he had every rock climbed was without harnesses and he was pretty much dehydrated.

Rayner began to take his steps up, making sure that each of his steps are solid and creating a path for Corvina to climb up.
Talia (played by MoonKunoichi)

Talia sighed. She was doing something very very stupid. Of course she could stop running down the street towards the police station, and forget about this very unrational plan, but Talia was being so very stupid. Just like Sam was, just like her feelings for him made her feel, just like this whole plan, Stupid!

Though her lungs felt like the were on fire, Talia kept running until she reached the station. The world was spinning from the lack of oxygen getting to her brain, but She was determined.
I'll change the tapestry of fate one more time for him She told herself.
And in doing this revealing my secret... The thought echoed through her mind. Today was definitely going to be a very stupid day, and now that she was digging an even deeper hole, Talia didn't know how to stop.
Corvina (played by Tolora)

Corvina high fived him happily and scratched Zander behind the ear. She watched how he put on the harness and took the harness he handed her. She went through all the same motions he had, making sure that the harness wasn't too loose or too tight. She followed him closer to the rocky wall. Zander watched them curiously and climbed up onto a ledge near the water. When Rayner offered him a ride on his shoulders, he decided to take it. Obviously they were doing something interesting and the best place to find out what it was as soon as he could was on Rayner's shoulder.

Corvina watched Rayner climbing, with Zander leisurely resting on his shoulder. She watched how he climbed and saw all the footholds and handholds he used. After he had gotten a little higher, she carefully placed her hands and feet like she'd seen Rayner do and followed him up. It was slippery and she found herself hoping that the water below was deep enough for them not to be hurt if they fell.

Sam sat in the station he was awaiting being transferred to Billings or Helena city penitentiary. One one side their was a red neck with a face tattoo, on the other side a hobo most likely arrested for public urination. He looked more like a dirty teddy bear then a hardened street criminal. You wanna make your phone call now kid? The cop laughed to Sam, but I doubt a lawyer will be able to help you after you just gave us motive, and details only the robber could know.

Thorne put his head down into his hands, the guy next to him tapped him. I like your shoes, the man was starring at Sam angrily, can I have them? Sam was in no mood to even humor his request with an answer. Up at the front desk a cop greets Talia, how can help you ma'm?
Rayner continued to climb, determined to reach the entrance of the craven. Though he had plenty of weight on his shoulders from the gear, with Zander on his back as well, he didn't feel much of it. He continued to scale the wall and occasionally paused. "Are you okay? Doing alright?" He would ask her. Or he would stop to tell her where not to step or where not to grip since it was all very slippery.

There were a few moments of "close-calls" for Rayner too, when his foot would slip but he was able to catch himself right away. A few minutes later, Rayner noticed that he was only a few feet from the top. He looked back down at Corvina and smiled. "Hey, we're almost there!" he said and then noticed the beeping sound got louder and more prominent then it was when they were on the ground.
Talia (played by MoonKunoichi)

"Yes," Talia said in a calm and soothing voice. The thing she was planning to do next would causing even more trouble and possibly even more death, yet Talia couldn't stop. She felt like this had to be done, like it was now or never.
"Release Samuel Thorne from here and place him into my custody," She ordered him, her eyes glowing with a bright intensity.

Controlling one's thoughts and movement, it was another perk of her powers. Though once again, there was a price, after she was done using the policemen his life force would be drained, leaving him dead. Yet somehow Talia didn't care as much as she would like to, her mind would only allow her to focus on one thing. Remorse and regret would have to come later.

The police man who had been poking fun at Sam had an unusual expression on his face, what the hell do you mean release the bank robber into the custody of someone else? The other cop looked like he was in some sort of lose trans almost but Thorne didn't think much of it. The other cop was also talking too softly for Sam to hear. But the police man in charge of him was translating quite well for him, it must be the new Billings transfer guard, he opened the gate and pulled Sam out, first good criminal in years and we don't even get to keep ya here, not like we want ya anyway.

Sam was cuffed and handed off to the other officer and escorted out. The face tattoo man waved slightly with and evil nearly toothless smile. Sam hadn't met the hobo but he hoped the scuzzy man would be ok with Dirty Dan over there. The doors opened to a corridor which led to the outer part of the station. Sam's jaw dropped, "t... T.. Talia?" The man handed her the keys to the cuff and Sam was utterly confused, as it seemed most people in the station were, all eyes were on Talia and Sam.
Talia (played by MoonKunoichi)

Talia sighed. All eyes were on her, everyone watching and waiting for what would happen next, though Talia knew. Death. She would have to kill them all, though she doubt Sam would want to be around her any longer.
"I'm sorry..." She uttered, her voice filled with unsheded tears.

Talia didn't want to do this, God knew she didn't! But what else was there to do? Someone would end up dead anyway. The tattoo on her arm and her eyes glowed in unison before the Guard whom gave her the keys fell dead to the floor. Talia stared at his body for a few minutes, then silently she unlocked Sam's cuffs. Now she really couldn't turn back.
Corvina (played by Tolora)

Zander noticed the beeping getting louder too, and his tail was twitching back and forth across Rayner's back in anticipation. Corvina smiled at how concerned he was. She reassured him every time that she was alright, even though she slipped a little every once in a while. It wasn't often though, since Rayner tended to find most of the more slippery ones himself and guided her towards others. The first time he slipped it scared the bajeezus out of her. She couldn't help thinking in that one split second that he'd come falling down.

Corvina listened to the beeping sound get louder. She whooped when Rayner said they were almost there and would've done a fist pump but she kinda needed all her arms at the moment. "Just don't let Zander get abducted too if it is aliens." She said with a smirk. "Or shot if it's the government."
Darik Sharpe (played anonymously)

The police began to scream into their radios and pull out their guns all at once. "What are you doing?" Sam uttered after being freed, he bent down to check the pulse of the cop, the man was dead. He was being saved by a murderer, he had dated a murderer. "Talia stop you can't do this," Sam remembered he was a criminal too but he had done it to save someone he loved. Wait so what made this act any different then his? Nothing.

Get on the ground witch! A female cop pointed her gun firmly at Talia, this was a small town so their were only three cops left including the one who just burst out of the stations jail unit. Officer down! Officer down! The three cops pointed there guns at the girl ready to shoot, "stand down Talia, I don't want you to get hurt," still kneeling on the floor Sam took her hand softly, he was still unsure of what to do, almost a dozen people were in the station. She wouldn't kill all of them would she?
