It was a really nice day at the beach. She'd started to settle into her new home. At least all of her things were now unpacked. She had gone for a run, then changed into her bathing suit and laid in her beach chair, attempting to get a tan.
Kassandra really wanted to go in the water, but knew she would be lonely without someone to go in. None of her friends were here, so she just remained on the beach, reading the book she had grabbed at the airport and never got to. The girl wasn't a big reader, so this was unusual for her. Of course her father wasn't around, either, so she was incredibly bored. This book was ridiculous. Relationships don't just HAPPEN like that!
The book would soon be found on the sandy ground as the red-head just pulled out a bag of chips to eat while she browsed her snapchat photos on her phone. She took one and sent it to her friends, hoping they would respond at one point in the near future.

With the sun out and not sending the town into a fiery death, Rayner found himself riding his bike down towards the beach. It had been a while since he have gone and he felt like now was the time to go. The ocean and water has always calmed him and with the recent events of finding out his strange aquatic healing abilities as well as the experiments happening in the town's own backyard, he needed to relax himself. After all, it was summer. It was time to enjoy the sun before he goes back to school.
The beach was pretty much empty. There wasn't a whole lot of people. Rayner figured that most people would rather stay indoors and in the company of an air conditioner unit. Rayner didn't mind this. After parking his bike, he walked down towards the sand and soon enough found a spot to lay out his beach towel. He dropped his backpack down on it and then began to strip off his tank top - exposing his well toned muscular body.
After pulling out his goggles, he put them on and headed towards the sea. The waves came in and out lightly and Rayner figured why the beach was so empty. Not strong waves means no surf and no surf means no surfers. The 17-year-old then began to walk into the ocean and soon enough was swimming very strongly in it's currents.
