Sam reached out, taking her hand leading her to the side street and got on his motorcycle. He pushed the key into the ignition and started it up. "Get on if your brave enough," Thorne smiled, he didn't know why the bikes rumble matched the way he felt. He was unsure, and exited at the same time.
Nodding, she slid behind him and without thinking wrapped her arms around him. Normally Talia wouldn't have done this, yet somehow she felt relaxed and at ease with him. It was a strange feeling, yet again Talia had gotten use to strange and unusual things happen around herself. Smiling more to herself, Talia though about how this summer was going to be. She hoped it would be something to remember.
Thorne handed her his helmet, he only had one because he never had any company. The bike accelerated whipping around the corner, "hold on," he grinned. The bike roared as it raced down the street past the local coffee shop. He slowed to a stop for a red light, "having fun?" Sam asked, as the light turned green, looking both ways he accelerated again. Only for another block or so before slowing again and turning into the parking lot.
Thorne touched her hands softly indicating the trip was over. He hopped off the bike, "how was that? Not to fast I hope." He smiled at her, he wanted to help her off the bike but he didn't want to be to forward.

After finishing up his coffee and feeling slightly bored, Rayner decided to get up from the metal chair. He threw away his trash and walked back into the coffee shop. He looked at Danielle and smiled before walking past her and to the back of the coffeehouse. The older woman looked at him with a knowing smile. "Be careful, Rayner!" she told him. "Always am!" he told her before leaving through the backdoor and into the alleyway.
It was there Rayner found himself climbing on top of the dumpster and soon climbing up the metal ladder on the side of the building. He swiftly climbed and then he was on the rooftop of the coffeehouse, looking down at the downtown area. He looked to his left and then to his right at the set of buildings, mapping out mentally in his head - a path back to his apartment.
Not before long, Rayner started to run, leap, and even flip his way over the boxes on top of the rooftop, before taking a large jump to leap from building to building. When he reached the last building, he simply and gracefully flipped off the rooftop and rolled on to the grass below before taking off and running again.

"It couldn't have been better!" She replied handing him his helmet back. The smile on her face never seemed to fade as she walked beside him to the restaurant. Though Talia had not a clue why she was smiling so much, maybe she was still on the thrill of riding on a motorcycle? Or maybe she was just having a really good time? Whatever was the reason, Talia wish for it to never stop.
The smell of the restaurant's many foods and spices caused Talia's mouth to water. Anything and Everything looked good to her. Good thing her Mother had sent her monthly expenses money, for Talia knew Mongolian food was never cheap but very delicious!

The night was going actually pretty good the food all tasted great as well, Sam wondered why he didn't do this more often, his phone went off and once again he ignored it. This time he powered his phone off, whatever his dad had to tell him wasn't as important as this moment right now important. "So tell me more about yourself!" Sam asked, he had finished his food and was at the point were it was time to leave but he was hoping to get just an other half hour here with her.
"Hmmm, about myself..." Talia repeated to herself. What could she reveal about herself?
"Well I've been with my mom for as long as I can remember, though according to her I was found aimlessly wandered around one of her Archeologist sites..." She replied, her eyes glazed over from trying to unlock her memories.
"But er...Other than that, I've had a normal life. I've mostly traveled all over the world with my Mom" Talia wished she could disappear. She had rambled herself on to an awkward topic and hoped Sam wouldn't think she was weird. Why did she have to talk so much?!

"All over the world?" Sam thought about that, "I haven't even been all over this state yet? Hardly ventured away from this town since we moved here when I was ten." Sam grew quiet, he could feel things had just gotten awkward, he had no stories to beat or even rival traveling around the world. "That is, cool," he smiled awkwardly.
But the the worst possible thing happened it was an avalanche destroying all thoughts leaving only actions to pick up the pieces. Sam watched almost in slow motion as a lock of Talia's hair fell from behind her ear dragging across her face. Normal Sam would have, well would have not done a thing but this Sam touch his finger to her face sweeping the hair back around her ear, "Umm, I'm so sorry..."

A deep blush appeared on Talia's face at the sudden movement by Sam. Her heart seemed to be beating 100 times faster and all pervious words were lost. Why wasn't she say anything? Why was she suddenly speechless?
"Um...T-Thanks" She stumbled on her words, now staring down at the table as if it had become the most interesting thing in the world. Talia's hair had always fallen in front of her face before and she always preformed the same action, just like Sam had did to her. So why did she feel this way?
"My hair is always causing me problems," Talia said with a light chuckle. "Sometimes I wish to just cut it off."

"No," Sam had spoken a bit louder then intended, "I like your hair." Sam's fave lot up like a bonfire, I like your hair? he thought to himself, yeah and if your silky locks aren't busy tomorrow I could use a date to the freshman home coming. Thorne made himself chuckle, believing he seemed arrogant chuckling at his own comment he pulled out his phone.
Seven missed calls from his dad wasn't normal, he wondered what was the matter. Well whatever it was would have to wait. His eyes peeked up from behind the gadget and he lowered it slipping it back into his leather jacket. "I'm sorry," Sam stood up, "I'll take you home now, that was..." He had no words to finish the statement.

"Someone important?" Talia smiled gently at him. He seemed to be troubled, though she figured it not wise to press for information.
"But I do need to get home," She said softly. "Though not that I didn't enjoy your company." She quickly added, hoping that she didn't sound rude or ungrateful. Talia had truly and honestly enjoyed herself. Sam was a really good guy, sweet and very funny, Talia wouldn't mind hanging out with him again.
Hopefully I won't embarrass myself anymore, Talia thought silently to herself. That weird feeling she had earlier had still not went away and She had an inkling it was going to stay the longer she hung out with him. Today was seriously a interesting day for her.

Sam payed for the meals and walked outside getting on his bike, handing her the helmet, he hoped she would put her hands back around him. As girlie as it was to think this, her arms around him made him feel safe like he was invincible like nothing could go wrong when she gripped his waist. "Hope you had fun," the meal had been almost sixty bucks but a girl like Talia was worth it, he hoped to see her again.
Putting on the Helmet, Talia only slightly hesitated to hold on to him. What reason did she have to? Shouldn't she trust him? Shaking her head,Talia cleared her mind from her doubts and just enjoyed the short ride back to her apartment. I trust him, though maybe not enough to tell him about my secret She thought silently to herself. Her secret was to only be shared with someone she could trust and loved. Talia smiled at the word. LOVE. Such a deep word, that Talia always wished she had. Sure she loved her Mom, but it was different when one actually falls in love. She sighed. It was just another girly fairy tail of hers.
Maybe I'll actually experience it... The voice in the back of her head suggested. Talia sure hoped so.

Thorne got them home safely and placed the helmet back on him bike. He followed Talia into the building and up the stairs, "I'm at the top so I guess I'll see you," he hesitated. He looked into her eyes, he wanted to lean in, wanted to see if she would. He wanted to end the night well, but he couldn't his phone buzzed in his pocket. He looked down until it stopped the looked back at her, into her eyes. It's like they were works of art framed by he silk hair that he had stollen the honor to hold for just one moment. But still, he didn't lean it, Sam just stood there. And with each passing second he grew more and more indulged by the awkwardness, why couldn't he just be a man and lean in???
"Well erm Goodnight." Talia smiled brightly at him before going into her apartment. She wondered why he had just stood there and stared into her eyes. Did he have something else to say to her? Was she being rude by leaving him without hearing what he had to say?! Talia sighed. She would have to make this up somehow. But what could she do? She didn't even have his number or knew what apartment he stayed in! Sighing again, Talia quickly headed to bed. Maybe she would have better luck tomorrow.
Sam walked up the stairs door to the left, top floor. He checked his phone feeling pretty defeated after the night he had just had. He called his dad's cell, one ring, two rings... "Hello?" Thorne asked, a doctor picked up saying something about his dad being in emergency surgery. Sam was gone, with in seconds his bike was fired up and he sped off to the hospital. "Don't die dad," Thorne whispered to himself over and over again as he drove into the last lights of day.
Talia wasn't surprised when her dreamless sleep suddenly transported her to the a hospital room. Though she was not pphysically there, her spirit roamed around until she was floating over a sickly man's bed side. He looked strangely familiar to her and yet Talia had not a clue who he was. But Talia knew all to well the reason for why she was here, the burning sensation of the complex tattoo that covered most of her left arm was a constant reminder of her task.
The Man was dieing, that much was sure. Though Talia had the power to at least prolong his death, or in a more poetic way of saying it "Change his fate". After all that was the job of a Fateweaver, to changethe lives of others be it good or bad. Waving her left arm over his body, she extended his life to about Four more months, before his fate would be sealed to death. Unfortunately that's all Talia could do, for no one could stop death. Everyone had to die, even Talia herself. It was sickening to do this, for Talia longed to give people life instead of prolonging their death but she could not. It was just one of the many prices to pay of being a Fateweaver, knowing one can never stop death.

Sam listened to the doctor, as he sat by his fathers bed side, it was a fungus in his brain, the cleared what the could in the surgery but it would grow back stronger unless he get this special medication. "He works at a grocery store, he has no health insurance..." Sam's voice was soft not at all the voice he used to talk on the air or to Talia.
The doctor explained how this medication the man had a month maybe two at most if he didn't get these meds. Sam told him that he understood and left the hospital room, outside he made phone call upon phone call trying to get family to pitch in, trying to find his dad's friends. People said they'd send checks with $20 or $50 but it wouldn't be enough. This medicine wasn't pills it was in the form of an expensive treatment weakly. $800 for each dose, and $2,400 for the actual procedure. Where was he going to find six to eight payments of $3,200???
Thorne had expelled his contacts even his high school friends were called but $30 to $40 each wasn't enough! Despite his dad's alcoholic-ness and his recent neglect, Sam did love the man. He needed a ride it was late, Sam got on his bike and sped off. "What the hell am I supposed to do?"

Talia quickly jumped out of bed once her spirit returned back to her body, nearly tripping over everything in her sights. She listened to everything being said and one thing was certain, Talia had to help Sam! Checking outside, Talia noticed that the sun was just rising above the horizon. Meaning it was a perfect time to call her mother right now. She knew her mother had the money to pay for the operation, but she would have to do some seriously explaining in order for her to agree to this. Grabbing her phone, she dialed her number and nearly burst with joy once she answered on the first ring.
After an hour of explaining to her Mom the events of what happened, She had finally agreed and promised to send Talia the money in about Three hours. With a bowl of cereal, Talia sat happily on her couch. To say she was more than glad that her Mom agreed to help was an understatement!
Sam is gonna flip when he finds out!Talia thought, her smile increasingly getting wider. Though she wondered how she was going to give it to him? He probably wouldn't take it if she just handed the money to him, or worst he could ask why she was giving it to him. What would she say then?! Talia sighed. Maybe she hadn't thought this plan all the way through.

Sam came home later that morning with a backpack filled to the brim, a guy with no secrets now had one. Fear and pain will make a man do strange things. He passed by Talia's door and made his way upstair slamming the door behind him. Sam dropped the backpack by the bed side and laid down on the bed. It was nowhere near enough cash but it was a start.
Moments of the night before flashed in his mind, he had bought a toy air soft gun and spray paint. A tear fell from his eye as his hands sprung up to cover his face as he sobbed softly. The boy in desperation to save his father had robbed a bank. Not a big bank a small one with only a few thousand dollars in the registers. only a night teller, one security guard, and janitor had been there.
"Just short of five grand," he whispered to himself, "not even enough for two treatments..." His eyes were now lakes and his cheeks held their rivers. Why did everything have to fall apart now? He wasn't super happy but he had been content, and what about Talia? He finally met a really nice girl and then he becomes a criminal. GET ON THE GROUND! A chest full of pain welled up making his face resemble that of a crying chid as he recalled the event over and over in his head. MONEY NOW! GET IT FOR ME OR I WILL... "Shoot," he whispered as his tears put him to sleep.
