Talia (played by MoonKunoichi)

"Okay, So all I have to do is knock..." Talia slowly raised her fist to knock on Sam's door but stopped in mid-air. Her hands were shaking terrible bad, and she had nearly dropped the huge yellow envelope filled with the money her mother sent her. In total there was hundred thousand dollars, which Talia hoped would be enough for at least one operation or something. Yet here she was in front of his door and she couldn't even manage to knock! It had almost took her Five whole hours to prepare for this, Two to pick out what to wear and get dress, Two more to get to the bank and get the money, and an hour trying to figure out what to say and to actually get the courage to walk up to his door. Talia sighed. She was utterly hopeless.

Taking a deep breath, she knocked lightly on his door, the sound echoed throughout the hallway. With her heart pounding loudly in her ears, Talia quickly prayed that she wouldn't screw this up. Sam's happiness depended on this money

Sam opened one eye, who was knocking at the door? Police perhaps? Sam stood up rubbing the sleep and dried tears out his eyes, he had only been asleep for a little over an hour. He walked to the door and peeked through the peep hole. "Talia," he mumbled straightening his hair a bit, he was a mess, "Hey," he said opening the door.
Talia (played by MoonKunoichi)

"Hi! Er..How are, wait..Maybe that's not really a good thing to-um," Talia fumbled miserably on her words. Her face was slightly flushed due to the rush of blood that was going to her head, indicating she was nervous.
"I um, have something for you..." She spoke softly, her eyes looked at the huge yellow envelope in her hands then up to him. His eyes looked red and puffy, as if he had been crying though Talia knew all to well why, well at least she thought she knew.

Handing him the envelope, She waited patiently for his response. Hopefully he would smile, that would totally put Talia's fried nerves at ease.
Corvina (played by Tolora)

((Sorry, couldn't get on the internet for the last couple days!))

Corvina and her father had had a pleasant time at Little Italy before going back home and hitting the hay, oblivious to the happenings elsewhere. Zander curled up in his usual spot on the pillow next to her head and she fell asleep as blissfully as ever.

The next morning, Corvina decided to go on a run again. She avoided the woods this time, not wanting a repeat event of the rattle snake. Instead, she ran in the park and on a loop around town. She didn't like it near as much as she did running on the hiking trail, and she couldn't help but hope to meet a certain someone while she was running again. She didn't though, and came back home a little disappointed. She took a quick shower and came out to see that her dad had made peanut butter jelly sandwiches for lunch.

Corvina grabbed the one he'd made for her and went to the living room where her father was. When she sat down on the couch, Zander crawled from the arm of the couch to his customary spot on her shoulder. Her dad sat at the other end of the couch, watching tv. When she looked closer, she saw it was the news channel. A bank had been robbed just earlier that morning. Not just any bank either, it was the one in town! "Wow, I didn't think anything news-worthy ever happened around here."

Her dad shot her a glance. "Don't even think about it."
Word got around quickly, especially when it was word of a bank robbery. One directly in town. Rayner sat there at the counter of Danielle's Coffeehouse listening to people talk about it around him. "How terrible! And they haven't even caught the person?" he could overhear bits and pieces of conversation from the other customers. Rayner quietly sat there, a book in his hand, reading quietly.

He had been up early this morning, perhaps a bit too early. It was still slightly dark out when he peered out of his window to see his neighbor rush home. No one was usually out that early or late. Rayner couldn't see much, but he couldn't help it but wonder about it now. His sharp mind went to work and he shook his head. His mind was falling into the realm of imagination again.

Suddenly a hand waved in front of his face. "Ray!" Danielle called out to him. He looked up at her, his eyes widen and his glasses slipped off his nose slightly. "Need more coffee, hun?" she asked him. He shook his head and thanked her before closing his book. Maybe it was time he get some fresh air. He grabbed his backpack and slung it over his shoulders.

Though the night before was grim for the town, it didn't stop the sun from shining and the temperature from rising. Rayner decided that maybe it was time for a swim. Off to the local pool he went.

"What is it?" Thorne asked, he examined the outside of the package before looking back up at her, she was smiling but no such emotion found it's way to his face. Sam looked down at it again and opened the packaging. He dropped it chunks of cash visible on the inside, Sam fell to his knees, "no."

How could she know? How? Did she know she know he robbed the bank? Did she know he was going to go to jail? Was she at the hospital? Did she see him there? "I, can't take this from you." He looked up at her a tear beginning to form in his eye. With a waving voice soft tear filled words found their way out of his mouth, "thank you Talia."
Corvina (played by Tolora)

Corvina raised both her hands innocently, half a pb& j in one hand. "I have no idea what you're talking about. I was just thinking..." her eyes strayed across the room as she tried to think up something plausible. They landed on the swimming suit she had bought just the other day. "I was just thinking that I needed a relaxing day at the pool!"

She quickly ate the rest of her sandwich as her dad gave her a disbelieving look. "You just finished eating. You shouldn't go swimming yet." Corvina rolled her eyes playfully as she grabbed her bag and stuffed her swimsuit and towel inside. "Don't worry I'll just lounge around the pool for a while then." She scratched underneath Zander's jaw and set him down. "Sorry Z, but I can't bring you along with me. They don't even let dogs in the pool!"
Rayner could see plenty of officers walking around the bank from where he stood on the street corner. The majority of the bank's parking lot was sectioned off by police tapes and lines. Rayner could only assume that they still haven't analyzed the crime scene completely if the officers were still there. Rayner glanced towards the crosswalk signal as it changed to the familiar white figure. Rayner started to cross the street, his headphones blaring of music when suddenly out from the corner of his eyes a car came screeching car heading right at him.

His quick reflexes kicked in and in an instant he flipped himself in the air, his hands planted on to the hood of the still moving car and pushed off gracefully, sending his body forward and landing on his feet behind the car. The car was still moving the entire time but came to a screeching halt when the driver realized that they almost hit someone.

The driver immediately got out of his car and several officers from the bank scene, came rushing up to Rayner afterwards, who was breathing a bit heavily now, having almost had his life almost taken away from him...yet again. "Oh my god, I'm so sorry! I'm so sorry, are you hurt? Are you okay?" The driver asked. Rayner looked at the driver and the officers who were now waiting for his reaction. "Yeah, I'm fine..." Rayner said. "I'm so sorry! Seriously, I'm so sorry! Are you sure you're okay?" the driver asked. "You moved pretty quick, kid. that was pretty impressive." one of the officers said.

Rayner didn't say much to them but only reassured the driver and the officers that he was okay. He also informed the officers that he weren't going to press charges after the driver admitted to being distracted by the taped off crime scene. After a while the driver returned back to his car and drove away while the officers went back to their job - leaving Rayner to continue his way on to the pool.
Corvina (played by Tolora)

Corvina quickly left before Zander could guilt her into trying to sneak him in. She really did want to bring him, but it didn't work out so well the first and last time she did so. Wet fox did not smell the best and people tended to notice it.

She shifted her bag to a more comfortable position on her shoulder as she walked and soon she came into view of the bank that had been robbed. She stared at it wide-eyed and didn't even realize that she knew the boy walking across the street until a car almost hit him. Then she realized it was Rayner. She ran up to him when things had calmed down and looked at him with worry in her eyes. "Is it a habit of yours to have near-death experiences at least once a day?"
Rayner turned around to spot the familiar brown hair girl before him. He chuckled slightly at her comment and continued to walk, this time side by side with her. "Oh you know, a near death experience a day, keeps the doctor away..." he joked. "Especially when it actually kills you." He added. In a way, he was glad he ran into Corvina again. It'd be nice to have a new friend around - one that wasn't his usually ones at school.

"Don't tell me you're going to the pool as well..." he said, realizing that they were on the same path.
Corvina (played by Tolora)

"Yeah." She rolled her eyes and laughed. Corvina found it nice to see Rayner again. "It just brings the mortician and the grave digger. Much better than a doctor." Not that she really enjoyed visits to the doctor herself. And Zander absolutely detested visits to the vet.

"Well, yes I am." She smiled and decided to play mock hurt. "Don't tell me you're disappointed."
Rayner snickered. "Nah, I'm not..." He said. "But you will be when I BEAT YOU OVER THERE!" and with that Rayner took off with amazing quickness. He unnecessarily leaped over some bike racks with amazing swiftness and grace. All of those years learning how to freerun really paid off. He even unnecessarily leaped up on to a wall and started to run on the top before flipping off the back and landing at the end on his feet. He stood there and adjusted his backpack and looked at Corvina, there was some distance between them now. He smirked and looked towards the public pool, only mere feet away. He decided to play nice and wait for a bit.
Corvina (played by Tolora)

Corvina looked at him in surprise as he ran off. Never one to back down from a race, she ran after him, watching as he performed his tricks. She was impressed by them. She'd always admired parkour and freerunning, but hadn't ever really tried it herself. Corvina had her own tricks though. She bit her lip and looked around. No one was really paying attention to the couple of kids goofing off across the street and Rayner was looking away at the pool. She focused and her body went invisible, along with her clothes and the bag she was holding. If Rayner looked back he would have seen an empty sidewalk. Her dad would have killed her if he knew what she was going doing. She quickly and quietly moved to one side of him and reappeared as if she'd been there the whole time. "How nice of you to wait. I can see now how you can keep avoiding these near-death experiences."
Rayner was slightly confused when he looked back and saw no one around him. When he heard her voice right next to him, he turned around and jumped slightly. How did she do that? He looked back to quickly analyze the distance Corvina was at and back at the shorter girl in front of him. He smiled at her comment about his freerunning skills. "I guess you can say that they're keeping me alive," he said before taking step towards the pool building. "Shall we?"

The public pool was an outdoor pool, however the locker rooms, bathrooms, and sign in areas were contained in a small building with many large glass windows looking out towards the pool. Rayner held the door open for Corvina as they walked into the air conditioned room. The facility member working at the sign in desk was a girl Rayner knew from school. He was well known around school for the most part - having been friendly with every one he meets, regardless of what high school stereotype they fit into or their social hierarchy. The girl before him was no different.

"Rayner!" She said sweetly and stood up. "Hey Nik, how are you?" He asked with a smile. She gave each other a hug. They made a bit of small talk before Rayner stepped aside. "Do you know Corvina?" he asked. "Corvina goes to Scottsdale as well." He explained with a smile. "Hello! No, I don't think we've met. I'm Nikki. Are you both here to swim together then?" Nikki asked, her eyes lit up as though to imply other things.

"No, we ran into each other and decided to walk together." Rayner said, dismissing Nikki's little implication as he wrote his name down on to the sign in clipboard before handing it to Corvina. He knew the Nikki types...she was among the gossip bunches at school. "Oh, okay, well..." Nikki said and sat back down. "I'm sure you both know the drill! Have fun today and stay safe! It was nice meeting you Corvina!" She said and sat back down to continue her work.

Rayner looked at Corvina and smiled. "Hey, I'll see you on the other side." He then made his way over to the men's locker room to change. He changed into his black and blue swim trunks and grabbed his cellphone and towel before heading out into the pool.

The moment he pushed that door open, the warm sunlight hit his bare tanned chest. His body is very lean, muscular, and quite defined. He had his swim goggles on his head and looked around at his surroundings. Surprisingly, the pool wasn't as crowded as it usually was on warm days like this one. He was able to quickly find a lounge chair to put down his things and kicked off his flip flops.
Talia (played by MoonKunoichi)

"Don't worry about it! T-Though it's a gift from my mother,"Talia replied, the smile never leaving her face. She was happy to see Sam crying, for they had to be tears of joy!
"Erm She wanted it to be a thank you gift, for treating me to dinner last night." She chuckled lightly at remembering her mother's words. "She almost act like I was getting married or something when I told her"

Talia couldn't tell why it was so hard to say this. Was it because she was lieing to him or was it because the fact that Marrying Sam crossed her mind? Wait-Marrying Him!?! Talia's face turned red like a tomato and suddenly she wished she could just jump out a window. Her mind was dangerous!
Darik Sharpe (played anonymously)

Sam stood, leaving the money on the floor along with his memories of the night before. He pressed his hand on the side of her neck and back of her head pulling hers into his and extended his lips to collide with his. Bliss, all of the trouble, pain, fear, it was gone all of it. His tongue moved in investigating on her mouth.

Nothing had ever seemed so perfect, but as he pulled away he looked at the floor, he didn't want to make eye contact, the kiss was too perfect to ruin with the look of disgust he assumed she was about to give him. Sam was silent and he stooped down securing the money in the envelope, and standing back up. Rising to full height his mind was too curious and his eyes met hers after being away for what felt like eternity.
Talia (played by MoonKunoichi)

Talia was utterly speechless. Her mind was going through a storm of emotions, a mixture of happiness, shock and slight anger. That had been her first kiss, and for it to be taken like that....It was just Wow!
"Um...I-I'm uh.." Talia once again stumbled on her words, fidgeting with her fingers. If even possible her face had turned a fire red and was blazing hot. If she wasn't careful she would probably pass out from the lack of oxygen going to her brain.

Say something!!! Her mind shouted at her, yet still no words came out of Talia's mouth. Was she doomed to be speechless forever?!
Darik Sharpe (played anonymously)

Sam turned outstretching his arm and placed the envelope on the kitchen counter which he could reach with one foot still in the hallway. He turned back to her wiping the tears from his eyes for the second time today, "Thank you." It was all he could say what else was their? How did you know my dad was dying? Why give a guy you just met one hundred thousand dollars? Where did you get this kind of money? But none of it mattered, all that mattered was he was thankful.
Talia (played by MoonKunoichi)

"You're um Welcome," She managed to say, this time with a slight smile. She was super happy and kinda dizzy all of the sudden but that didn't matter. Sam was extremely happy and that was all she could ask for. Though Talia was also worried he would start asking questions. Questions that she wasn't to sure if she wanted to answer. But hopefully Sam would understand her, because everyone had secrets right?

"Ahem, So erm I guess that's all..." Talia said laughing lightly, her face still very much flushed from before. She wonder where that put their relationship now. Could they be more then friends or was that kiss just something that happened in the heat of the moment?
Corvina (played by Tolora)

Corvina walked the last couple feet to the pool with him, elated that she'd been able to surprise and confuse him. Her father was always warning her against using her power in public, but it was just too fun! Sometimes, she just couldn't resist. "Thank you." She said when Rayner held the door open for her.

She hung behind shyly as Rayner and the girl at the desk made small talk. Corvina remembered her from school. When Rayner stepped aside to introduce her she smiled at the girl. "Hi Nikki, I'm Corvina." She blushed as she realized that Rayner had already told her this and her face reddened even further when she mentioned them swimming together.

Thankfully, Rayner saved her from having to answer. She signed her name on the clip board when he handed it to her and gave it back to Nikki. "Nice to meet you too!" She said as she made her way over to the girls' locker room. She smiled at what Rayner said before entering the boys' locker room. "You make it seem so serious."

Corvina quickly changed into her red bikini and grabbed her towel before heading out to the pool. She blinked in the sunlight and shaded her eyes with her hand. She spotted Rayner and smiled, making her way to the lounge chair next to his. She threw down her towel on the chair and looked around. "It's nice being here without the crowd."
